My wife, 10-year-old daughter and I could not have been happier with our overall experience at Mariposa. It began with a prompt and friendly pickup by a driver/ guide, Augusto, who took us on two separate tours on our way to the Lodge. One of the tours was of the Belize Zoo and Augusto's knowledge of the unique animals and...

Their slogan "Adventure by day and comfort by night" is right on. We wanted adventure and we got it. At the end of the day we were treated to a clean, comfortable and modern cabana, great meals and a refreshing swimming pool. The gardens are beautiful. The cabanas are separated enough for ultimate privacy. The screened porch with a hammock...

Mariposa Jungle Lodge was a beautiful lodge tucked away in the jungle. It is designed so it is nestled within the environment. The owners and staff are wonderful and so friendly and accommodating. Our guides were very knowledgeable. We went on 2 excursions but would have gone on more if we had more time. We were there 3 nights but...

Thanks, Carolyn, for taking the time to post this review. You mentioned something I think is important for Belize vacation planners. Our 3-night package is very popular but many guests say exactly what you said. Another night or two would make the experience more complete. There is so much to do, see and experience in our area. I hope your...

My wife and I stayed at Mariposa Jungle Lodge during the first part of our honeymoon in Belize and it was absolutely wonderful. I have zero complaints. The cabins are very nice and comfortable; you won't believe how relaxing it is to fall asleep to the noises of the jungle. The food and the excursions are top notch (I totally...

My husband and I had a couple key points we wanted to hit while on our honeymoon. We wanted a little bit of beach, adventure, and relaxation. We booked through St. George's Caye and split our time between them and Mariposa Jungle Lodge because they we able to offer all of these things. We were picked up from the airport...

I stayed at the Mariposa Jungle Lodge for 5 nights with my 2 adult children, and we had a fantastic time. The room was nice - smallish, but adequate, with 2 twin beds and a queen. It was very clean. The very large bathroom and shower with lots of hot water was a bonus. The screen room with a hammock...

Thank you for taking the time to post your thoughtful review. We like to tell our guests that the off-highway roads are part of the adventure, that they're getting a free massage or ride they'd have to pay for in an amusement park, but the reality is, we're anxious and hopeful that our government will see fit to fulfill the...

Mariposa offers an authentic Belize experience. The owners and staff are honest and good people. You can expect a personal touch to everything they do. The facilities are quite comfortable and modern, and the food is tasty, providing a nice place to relax between visiting all the great places of interest in the area. There's plenty to do including caves,...

We agree with all the five star reviews - the owners are knowledgeable and very helpful, making it easy to see the key places of interest. All the drivers and guides associated with the lodge are excellent. Make sure to see Caracol and do the ATM cave. We'd come back again and stay there to see several sites that we...
