This is a place to put on the vacation calander every year. We have been going for ten years now and just gets better every time. When we first started traveling we found ourselves, as anyone else, in the ocean of mixed reviews and not enough good info. Then we were guided in the right direction by the knowledgeable people...

My husband and I decided to get married in Belize and invite a few friends to celebrate with us. We wanted something small, laid back and beautiful. We picked MET and could not have been happier with our choice! The first couple of days we were there it rained and we slept like babies! Hearing the rain come down on...

MET is a must for the somewhat adventurous traveler spending a week in Belize. While my girlfriend and I have traveled to many countries, we had never been to Belize and wanted to experience both the jungle and the cayes. Belize is perfect for this considering the short distance from Belize City each destination. MET provided a jungle experience that...

Thank you for the glowing review! We really appreciate it. I like that you point out that MET is for the "somewhat" adventurous traveler. It's very true. We enjoyed hanging out with you and look forward to your return!

My husband and I stayed at MET in February, 2013. It was fantastic! We thought the views at MET were some of the prettiest we saw in Belize, and there were a lot of beautiful vistas to behold in Belize! As I see others have noted in their reviews, I had the best night's sleep in our casita - we...

Can't say enough about MET. This charming lodge's mountain location is so serene filling your senses with colorful, fragrant vegetation, an abundance of birds, unique sounds of frogs, birds, neighing horses and howler monkeys, and refreshing breezes. It's a perfect place to relax when you are not on one of the many adventures offered such as half and full day...

The trail guides were all experienced. The food was wonderful. If anything we were overfed. I'm looking forward to returning. I am going to ride a lot more often before I leave home for my next trip to cut down on the soreness. We're going back. Mike, Maureen, and Danielle.

I can't say enough about MET and the people who run it. It's in the interior of Belize and you don't have to be into horses to fall in love wit the place. The family-run center will custom build you any trip you want. The food is some of the best I had on a two-week trip and I wanted...

Great way to see the interior of Belize, even if you're life does not center around horses. Aaron and staff do a wonderful job of taking care of their guests, including custom food, trips, horses, whatever. Beautiful cabins, great food, fantastic scenery, friendly people. By the second day we all seemed like old friends, and look forward to returning.

Thank you! I appreciate you pointing out that guests do not necessarily have to be horse riding enthusiasts. Even novice riders can enjoy this method of seeing Belize, up close and personal. We look forward to seeing our new "old friends" again one day!

A trip of a lifetime. I highly recommend any opportunity to take a trip with MET. My brothers and I were looking for a multi-day backpacking trip. We did not want a pre-packaged trip that only goes to the obvious, touristy spot. I emailed a few Eco-lodges and was directed to Arran Bevis by several of them. Arran designed exactly...

“This is not a traditional hotel, but a ranch with a cantina and a handful of cabanos, or bungalows.”

“Cottages are basic but clean and nice. No air conditioning or electricity but during our stay we didn't need it. Beds were fair, clean but not as comfortable as many. Windows & porch views are worth a mint. Rooms are lite with kerosene lamps - so harder to read by with bugs who are attracted to the lights. Not a place where you live in the rooms anyway because there is so much to see outside!”
janal96, Sep 6, 2016 | Read review
“The casitas have en suite bathroom/shower, each bed has a mosquito net. Very roomy. These are open air rooms, so some "wildlife" may join you, such as some very cool insects. All the casitas are nicely secluded and a short walk to the main meeting area. Nice porch with chairs. Can't say that any of the casitas are "better" than any others... all are quite nice.”
