Awesome mountain accommodations. The food was fabulous, the Belizian cuisine presented a touch of their culture. The guide was a walking encyclopedia...so knowledgeable of all the native plants for their usage. The horses were amazing. All levels of riders were able to participate. Over all a 5 star rating!!!

We traveled in a group of 12 family and friends aged 15-63, and MET gave us the perfect amount of alone and together time. We all got to do things we enjoyed. Personally I really enjoyed no cell phone, no computers, just relaxation and no worries, but internet access was available for flight confirmation and the likes. One member of... More

Belize is a beautiful and fascinating country. Most people spend their time on the coast (which is wonderful) but don't miss the opportunity to stay at MET and see the incredible diversity that Belize has to offer: jungles, wild life (awesome birds!!), rivers, caves, waterfalls, etc. All from horseback if you desire!! Wow, what a wonderful way to get a... More

My wife, daughter, elderly Mother-in-law, 8 year old grandson and myself spent the better part of two weeks at MET. This place is magical. The setting is stunning. The birdwatching is fantastic. We used MET as a base to travel in the Cayo district while caving, horseback riding, a pontoon boat ride on a remote jungle lake with georgeous waterfalls,... More

Perfectly perfect for us. Off the grid and definitely off the beaten path, comfortable lux-rustic living, hummingbirds and tropical birds abounding, the sounds of howlers each night, the friendliest people you can imagine, gorgeous horses and glorious trails and nature adventures, and every detail thought of! My husband and I and 8 year old daughter stayed at MET for 6... More

Thank you for your great review and constructive feedback. Don't blame you about the children, we try to keep them out of the area, but sometimes it's difficult. We will always try to accommodate requests or suggestions. Thank you and hope you come back! More

I have been here before, and so happy to go back! It is perfect place for families, the kids can explore. The service was absolutely wonderful. Our tours we took horseback riding and to the Waterfalls were just an amazing experience. Not to mention the zoo and the Carocal Mayan Ruins. Mountain Equestrian Trails is definitely a place you want... More

My partner and I visited Belize this month and stayed at M.E.T. while visiting the Caracol ruins. We enjoyed the property, the hosts, but we really felt it was our guide, Giovanni, who made that part of the trip great. He works with MET as a guide, driver, environmentalist, laborer, etc. You want him guiding you around! MET is cool... More

This is a smoothly operating, very professional business with good horses and better trail guides. Despite being off the grid, its a comfortable and accommodating site with an excellent chef and an extensive wet bar. Day rides can include waterfalls and swimming, caves and Mayan ruins, or a dose of local culture. Rides are tailored to the guests' experience level... More

We went on a halfday horseback ride tour, and it wss a really good experience. Three out of us four had no or only little riding experience, but the horses were well-trained and Giovanni is the perfect tour guide, so everything went well. The place itself is a green heaven, and we would love to stay there for a couple... More

I stayed at MET for 3 nights while on a birding tour with a group of birders. Beautiful area. Lots of birds. My room was clean and comfortable, however there was no air conditioning, overhead fans or electricity in the rooms. The rooms were lit with kerosene lanterns. MET is at a higher altitude than other places we stayed, so... More
