I have visited several times to the place and every time very poor service was observed. When complaining to the Manager he talked in a rude way. Management has to be changed. Very disappointed. Not recommended.

It's just 5mins away from Matara city and the location is ideal to have a relaxing time. We only went to the restaurant to have dinner and it was all good. Food came on time and it was yummy. Reasonable prices too. It would be nicer if they can have a restaurant specially for the dine in guests with the ocean view. I suggest they need a little improvement on qualified, professional and welcoming staff. I hope to visit this again n hope to see a better change.

do not expect high end luxuries and amenities this is a good hotel for the budget conscious traveller looking for a safe place to stay while in matara. there is nothing much to see in matara, so a max stay i would recommend is 2 nights. the place is kept clean and is a colonial style house with new chalet style rooms. we stayed in a family room (a triple) the room was large, had a AC and TV. the toilet was clean and had hot water, not that you need it... its matara and it's very hot weather in march. we didn't have any meals in the hotel, but not to worry, matara town is not too far away, it will take a few minutes to get to the city by tuk tuk.

First of the location sucks, well away from the matara city and the place is quite old and worn out. Food was crappy and had no flavor. The Management seemed to have had no control over their staff. Staff seemed to have been poorly trained and bad hires.
