Fundo San Jose is a very nice place to stay in the Amazon rain forest in Central Peru. The property has its own trail and day trips to various places of interest are available: local indigenous village Ashanikas(?), waterfall Bayoz and Velo de Novia and more. Distance wise is not

We spent a long weekend at Fundo San Jose. We were greeted with star fruit drinks and then taken to our rooms. We were lucky to have the bungalow on the very top so the views were magnificent! We didn't have hot water but the staff took care of that issue promptly. They let us wa

Outside of La Merced, modern rooms are clean and quiet. Good swimming pool. Restaurant has good food. Service was very good. Family had a tour of San Ramon and La Merced, and we visited waterfall and Aymara Indian reservation. If visiting La Merced, this is a good option.

"More steps to the top bungalow but the views are worth it"
"Two rooms generally share one cabin. All cabins have a view of the valley and a nice porch on which to enjoy it."
"The lower rooms are easier to get to but the higher ones offer more privacy."
