I can say without a doubt that Dar Zerhoune was the best traveling experience I've ever had. Hamid picked me up at the Fez airport, and took me on a beautiful scenic drive on the way to Moulay Idriss. We stopped for figs and chickpeas along the roadside, and drove to a gorgeous lookout point over the city. When I... More

I had the pleasure to stay at Dar Zerhoune for the whole of Ramadaan, hence this is the hardest review I'm ever going to write as I experienced enough for a novel/film. Firstly I was luckily enough to meet the owner Rose who showed me around and infected me with her passion for the people and the place. Rose wasn't... More

In May my wife and I spent two and a half weeks in Morocco and travelled throughout the country. It was our second trip to Morocco. We had spent eleven days in the country the year before. We could not stop thinking about this exquisite country and the warm and kind people we met everywhere. Staying at the Dar Zerhoune... More

Everything about the place is wonderful. The accommodations are cozy, the staff are amazing, and the city is gorgeous. However, nothing compares to the surprisingly delicious food! Outside of Morocco's larger cities, it is hard to find much variety, but Rose and her staff have created a great menu full of good food with fresh ingredients. Truly, not to be... More

I've just returned from a four-night stay at Dar Zerhoune and I'm itching to go back! A huge shukran to Rose, Hajiba, Faiza, Kaoutar and all the ladies at Dar Zerhoune for making my stay so wonderful I'll never forget it and am sad to leave! I feel I've made friends for life and all the staff went out of... More

A very friendly place to stay. Run by Rose (originally from New Zealand) and her lovely local staff. Dar Zerhoune is situated in the middle of the old town, just a short walk from the town square. The building is quite traditional with loads of atmosphere, but the best part is the roof terrace with a view across the town... More

Being a guest at Dar Zerhoune feels like staying with a family friend! The town itself is not so easy to get to, but once you're there, you can completely relax. We arrived mid-afternoon very hungry, and they immediately provided a lovely lunch on the terrace. We did not get to meet Rose (the owner) in person, as she was... More

Great service. Easy to find the dar and easy communication to book. They provided a heater and a heated blanket during the winter along with a common room with heat. Their alcohol was the cheapest that we came across in Morocco. Would stay here again. They do offer bikes, but they are in pretty rough shape and unless we knew... More

I found Dar Zerhoune by accident a few years ago. I'd hopped a train to Moulay Idriss to see Volubilis and get a little mountain vacation from Fez. I was wandering the medina in Moulay and saw the sign for Dar Zerhoune. Looking at the sign, I already had an instinctive sense that it was going to be the perfect... More

I spent a magical weekend at Dar Zerhoune. The staff, sleeping arrangements, food, views, and atmosphere were top quality. It is very serene to sit on the terrace and take in the views of Volibilis in the distance. I also had a lovely swim in the roman baths which were walking distance. My only regret is that I did not... More
