Had the best time, met the nicest people (who were regular visitors, which speaks volumes), food was amazing, bar staff great, waitresses lovely. Best stay in Barbados so far! Night entertainment could be repetitive however they did their best. Ended too early for me but that’s just my opinion. Some are happy to end at 10pm and hit the bed. No regrets don’t listen to any bad reviews. You will have a ball. Shout out to ‘Selector’ at the outside bar, lovely lady playing great music. Shout out to Vincent too. I miss it and cannot wait to come back however heard there was a refurb going on soon after we left. You will be along the famous Sandy beach. We took a free boat ride across and saw some celebrity homes. A must do. I would advise to bring some sea shoes as sometimes crossing the rocks can be uncomfy. I would also recommend Just Grillin which is not too far from hotel by foot. Great shrimps there! Yummy. Although this hotel you will rarely be hungry! I am definitely that person who reads reviews, you will not be disappointed. Love ya long time!

Hotel's Favorite
I stayed at The Club for the first time this week and had a fabulous stay. It started with check in after a flight with delays from Heathrow, they could see I was tired and stressed and did everything so well to let me relax and start my holiday. Friendly, efficient and fast - everything you would want. As an all inclusive hotel I was unsure of food quality but by the next morning I was seeking out the chef to compliment him on a Caribbean shrimp curry that exceeded all expectations. This was followed by a breakfast where I asked for eggs royale with 2 poached eggs, and they are so happy to accommodate guest requests that I was brought eggs royale with 2 extra eggs on the side, but it was so good that I ate it all. The restaurant staff are all so good that before you even know you want something they are there ready to serve you - the barrista and cake station was especially popular and had many visits. I really cannot compliment the hotel enough from the location, pools and manicured gardens but in particular the smiling friendly staff who really made my stay wonderful. The manager was there every day making sure things ran smoothly, greeting guests and making staff feel valued - they made me feel that I was the most important person there, and to make everyone feel that way is a very difficult thing to do but they pulled if off. I will return as soon as possible and definitely recommend this hotel.

The Club hotel was honestly one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at!. The service was excellent the food at the restaurant was exceptional. The staff was so sweet and accommodating the room was beautiful the was a clear view of the ocean from the entire room which made it so special and fun to stay in. I had easy access to the gym, pool beach, water sports, spa, and tennis courts which made my stay even more marvellous. Also a special shout-out to the manager Caroline Hurly for being the best part of my visit to Barbados she was social kind she was the heart and soul of the club hotel.

We were booked for a 14 night stay. Almost as soon as we arrived we were worried. There seemed to be very few guests around. We asked to move rooms and this request was accomodated with no issues. It was one of very few positives to say about the place. The new room was a 1 bedroom suite. The bedroom was gorgeous but the bathroom was simply awful. There was a tiny sink like one would find in a public toilet or powder room at home. Each side of the sink they had 2 shelves made out of clear perspex and attached to the wall with plain pieces of wood. Not what one would expect from a 4* hotel. The bathroom was a wetroom and set up for wheelchair access. There was rust marks running down the wall from some of the fitings in the shower area. The majority of staff gave of an attutide that they couldn't care less. Simple requests took ages to arrive. I have severe coeliac disease but the staff in the restaurant did not seem to understand what gluten was. I had to insist on speaking to the cook but this was with limited success. Within 36 hours of arriving I began to be violently ill. I immeidately thought I had eaten gluten accidentlially. i had no choice but to stay in the room for most of the day and evening. It wasn't very long before myu husband also began to be very ill. It was then we realised it was food posioning. I contacted our travel agent and to our huge relief they liasied with the hotel and we were allowed to move to another hotel, albeit at extra cost. I had got quite friendly with one staff member and kept in contact with them after we left. They told me that another couple had also moved out due to food posioning around the same time as us. The staff member told us they had all been given 1 month's notice as the hotel was closing for a refurbishment at the end of June. I really hope that once they reopen they will employ staff who understand dietary needs and who have good customer service skills. The hotel is advertised as being a beach front location. It is a waterfront location but there is no beach. There is a concrete area with sand covering it which overlooks the sea. It's possible to walk to Sandy Lane beach but this means no access to loungers, food or drinks. As stated previously, they are having a refit but this will have no impact on the fact there is no beach.

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for choosing The Club Barbados Resort & Spa. Our guests' safety and well-being are of the highest significance. Please accept our heartfelt apologies if our resort could not accommodate all of your dietary needs. Our resort offers various meal choices, including fresh vegetables, salads, fruits, and grains. Our resorts have significant experience catering to a wide range of dietary needs. However, we cannot guarantee individually-tailored meals for guests with specialized diets or restrictions. Due to the all-inclusive nature of our resort, this practice has been intact since our doors opened. And to correct your false claim of advertising as a beachfront location. Our website theclubbarbados.com, clearly states, "Superbly located on the oceanfront of the Caribbean’s west coast, this tropical island resort will exceed all your preconceived notions of what luxury looks, smells, tastes, feels, and sounds like." It's pretty discouraging to read your review, and it saddens us to know that despite our best efforts, you would have returned home with a diminished opinion of our resort. On behalf of our Club Barbados Resort & Spa team, we sincerely hope you reconsider your decision and grant us another opportunity to provide you with an excellent, all-inclusive Caribbean holiday. Best regards, The Club, Barbados Resort & Spa Staff & Management

Yet another fabulous stay at this gem of a hotel. Many new staff along with familiar faces who gave us great time. Although I could try and mention them all I will add some names to look out for - Matthew who looks after food & beverage along with his great chefs, in restaurant Kim, Carmilla, Mia, Sherry, Diana, Jalisa are just some. At the coffee shop Latoya and Vinnie, Sophie and Kevin at the bar. Andre at the reception was also very helpful with information. The beach front rooms are amazing and you can watch stunning sunsets. Protocol is followed careful and they try hard not to let it spoil the atmosphere. Well done to all

I would like to say a huge thank you to The Club Barbados Resort & Spa. Starting with the check in, it was a beautiful design. The lady checking me I was very polite and I appreciate the bell hop taking my bags as I did pack heavy. The best part of the stay was the food, well seasoned and to know that dessert is out for majority of the day. Thank goodness I wasn’t on a diet. Enid’s was by far my favourite food spot. I enjoyed the entertainment at the Sunset Restaurant and the ambience at Piano Bar. My time there was what I needed, a great getaway.

We returned to The Club Barbados at the end of May for the first time since December 2019. It is the slow season for The Club and we had expected some of the things we experienced, as we had visited in May 2016, 2017 and 2019. Most of the staff that we had come to know over the years have moved on but a number are still there: Akeem, Carmela, Diana, Engrid, Kim, Matthew, Natasha, Pearson, Sherry, Sophia, and Vinnie, in particular. All still stars. Got to know some of the new staff, many of whom are still finding their way, but Latoya, Jalisa, Natalie, Decari, Shaq, Anita, Andre, Guy and Kareem are standouts and will help make your stay enjoyable. Water sports staff helpful, all activities readily available, unlike previous visits, which was often difficult, during low or high peak season. On the downside, it was so slow, and such low occupancy, that some of the services and offerings were unavailable: -only one bar open at one time, day and night -Enid’s (second restaurant) only open two nights a week -no BBQ (or events, activities around it), no Manager’s cocktail party, and dinner schedule not set, so you did not know if it would be a la carte or buffet ahead of time -likely because of the low occupancy, but often things ran out and were not replaced (specifically on the buffet, but also on a la carte menu and all day menu). Again, difficult to manage during low and high peak season, but… -entertainment ended at 10pm (which may appeal to those with early dining times), but if dining at 8:30 or 9pm, you would like to enjoy the evening entertainment after dinner. The main bar open until midnight, with no piano bar (perhaps understandable with covid restrictions), but there was little seating around the pool area (tables, but few chairs) to enjoy a conversation in open air or enjoy a beverage under the stars -activities almost non-existent (although likely due to Adam being away for the first week of our stay) We also had issues with housekeeping. Although we were aware of the 2 day schedule, on multiple occasions, on day 2, by 4pm our room had not been serviced. Had to chase down someone to get it sorted. Caroline and Kathy (management) helped out when and where they could, but it was clear they had their hands full. While we agreed to, and accepted, the $24US per day hotel charge, over and above our package booking, which was to cover the government room levy, wifi and enhanced cleaning protocols, we expected our stay to be as close as possible to previous experiences, even with Covid protocols in place. We must say wifi was improved most places throughout the resort, with the exception of in room connection. 2 day housekeeping schedule appears to be more of a cost cutting measure, than COVID related. In the end, we did have an enjoyable stay at The Club, but being return visitors, we must say it was not up to par, after paying top dollar. All that said, we love The Club, and have been visiting for 30 years (in all its various forms and owners) and hope for its success, and post this review as constructive feedback, and to share our experience with those new to and familiar with The Club. We will be watching closely over the next few months, as we understand The Club is closing for a few months for refurbishments. Fingers crossed all goes well and we hope to return in December 2022, to visit our ‘home away from home’, meet with our ‘Barbados family’, and meet new friends along the way.

My wife and i spent a week at the club at the end of May 2022. The overall experience was perfect, nothing to complain about at all. We stayed all inclusive, and the food and drinks were of a high quality. Best of all were the staff, we can name specifically Latoya, Mia and Sophia, however all the staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay there again,

The Club Barbados was not what we were expecting at all. Much smaller all inclusive than we are used to. I would say they are more of a boutique resort. The walk to the 4th floor with no elevators to the loft room was tedious. I did not enjoy this room but was willing to settle since I know this is what I paid for. The shower clogged up while I was bathing and they came to plunge it. They were minimally successful and said they would come back the next day and try again. I was disgusted. It was so nasty sounding I refused to stay in the room. We ended up having to change rooms and they “didn’t” have a beach front room available. They gave us an “upgrade” to a one bedroom suite that was nice but was not beach front. It faced the “garden.” They did not help bring our luggage back down. They did not get in touch with us about whether a beach front room became available or not even though they said they would. I was very disappointed. The room change ended up being nice not having to climb the steps. The shower worked and the room was clean!! Upon arrival we had lunch from the snack/bar menu which was great but the buffet dinner was nasty. I just knew I was going to lose weight this trip if this was all that was going to be available. We ate breakfast and dinner the rest of the trip at the resort. Lunch was mostly on excursions. We chose to not be at the resort most of the trip because there were not a lot of people, the best swimming beach was not on our property (so no chairs), entertainment didn’t seem like it was our typical etc. Breakfast was a buffet and it was good. Needed salt and pepper on most things. Dinner remainder of trip was a la cart and excellent. The drinks were great. We did not participate in any of the included water activities. We did visit the pool most days and it wasn’t the cleanest but playable. Nightly entertainment was a diffident singer each night. I’m glad they were there but it was the same thing just different voices. Our excursions were great. We did a catamaran cruise on the Calabaza Wednesday. The experience was great but the included lunch meal was not. Staff was great. Boat was amazing. We did the “just bim” tour on Thursday and that was all the way around amazing from our tour guide Ryan to the various locations we went and the food. Overall my hubby and I made the trip enjoyable and we would like to go back to Barbados but maybe experience it in a different way. I would not necessarily suggest this resort to any of my friends. But if I did the suggestion would come with explanation of what to expect.
