We are is located in Erg Chebbi, in the middle of the desert near Merzouga, a place where you can enjoy tranquility and admire the starry night. The camp offers a balance between traditional Berber design and current comfort. It has luxurious and spacious fully equipped tent. The camp has a restaurant where you can taste the Moroccan culinary specialties. Don't forget to try our mint tea. In the evening, come and join the bonfire and enjoy drum playing, a kind of traditional music under an incredible sky filled with stars. One of the highlights in the Sahara is its sunset and sunrise, a view must not to be missed. Moonlight Desert Camp is in such a beautiful location, nestled at the edge of Erg Chebbi (some of the largest sand dunes in Morocco). Merzouga is on the other side of the dunes and is where we took our camel ride from, across the sand and into the sunset. An impressive and mind blowing landscape awaited us, ready to be photographed from every conceivable angle! I had a romantic vision of this experience and it superseded all expectations. It will remain imprinted in my memory forever. The camels took us right into camp where we were greeted by Berbers serving Moroccan Mint Tea - or Berber Whiskey. The tents were so luxurious with no expense spared on decor, style and comfort. The bed was so comfy, I could have stayed forever! After a delicious meal in the restaurant tent, we spent time beneath the vast sky watching the stars appear and blanket the darkness, reaching far to touch the horizon. The lovely hosts had built a fire and were drumming, singing and engaging us in traditional desert music. It was such a fabulous night I was already beginning to wish we had longer there. We awoke early to watch the sunrise, which revealed deep red sand to start. It was incredible to witness this colour shifting landscape evolve into the golden dunes we'd trekked through the day before. It was sad to leave, but we left happy and content. Happy in the comfort that we'd had such a magical experience. Thank you Said, Ishmail and all of the Moonlight Team. We'll be back one day!!

We are a family of six (4 young adult children) who spent 2 fabulous nights at this desert camp. This is definitely “glamping”, the facilities are amazing with wonderful showers and toilets. We slept so comfortably those two nights. Said and his staff attend to every request and the dinners were lovely. The two nights at Moonlight Desert Camp were the highlight of our 12 day Morocco Itinerary. We did the camel ride, ATV’s, and one day in the back roads of the open Sahara. Don’t miss out on this experience with Said and the Marvelous Moonlight Desert Camp. It definitely is the best out there.

We stayed at Moonlight Desert Camp for two nights as part of our 4d3n Fes to Marrakech tour with Morocco Countryside Tours. We understand from the owner that this camp is catered for private tours and relatively small, with 6 independent tents/guest rooms. The tents were impressive, spacious and cozy, with ensuite bathroom and equiped with facilities and amenities of a 4-5 star city hotel. Awesome!! The bed and pillows were comfortable, and piled high with layers of blankets. Mind you, in March, it was still very chilly in the middle of the night, especially when it rained:-( The camp is run by a team of energetic and friendly young men, handling all chores including preparing breakfast and sumptuous dinner!! They are talented too, putting up an amazing drum performance and singing session after dinner. We missed the camp fire as it rained whole night. Yet, it's still an enjoyable stay!!

Moonlight Desert Camp was an amazing experience. I wish we had more nights there, but we couldn't have gotten any more lucky as the skies were clear for our night there. I have never seen so many stars in my entire life! It was beautiful. The staff was amazing and welcoming. The tents were beautiful and comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed. The food was delicious. I would recommend this camp to anyone. Thank you Moonlight Desert Camp!

Moonlight desert camp was the most fantastic experience. We went for the full day tour option so we were taken on a tour of the desert and surrounding souks in a 4x4, this included having tea with Berber nomads, a traditional Berber lunch and a camel ride through the Sahara to name a few things. Said, Omar and the rest of the team were very accommodating and even prepared a lunch box filled with breakfast bits ahead of our early bus the next day. The accommodation itself was also fantastic, we both were able to have a hot shower and a very comfortable sleep in a big bed! I couldn't recommend this camp enough!
