Detailed Reviews
Apparently, some When we were here, we were the only guest staying at the camp apart from another group of Russians who arrived later at night, so mostly we had the camp all for ourselves. They have about 15 tents, and two huge dining tent, so there is a lot of space. After arriving from Fes, we were dropped off at the edge of the Sahara Desert and set on an hour camel ride into the camp. The camel ride was quite comfortable and could stop along the way to take photos.
Once we reached, we were ushered into a pretty big tent with two beds (one king one single) furnished with Berber styled interior. The bathroom is small but in good condition. The toilet stall had a showerhead and we could get warm water. The bed was comfortable and the tent was big and cosy.
You can use the remaining time you have to wander around the desert for more photos. There’s also outdoors tables and chairs on the summit of the dunes nearby for you to admire the sunset and sunrise and enjoy some quality time with your loved ones.
A simple breakfast is provided, and a sumptuous dinner too. At night, there was a campfire and Berber music played by staff at but I guess it’s nicer when there are more people around. The night sky is also beautiful with no light so you can see the stars. Next morning you can then choose to head back to the edge of the desert either by car or on camelback.
Honestly, I think staying one night is fine, but two nights is much better to enjoy the experience. But the journey is quite long from Marrakech and to Fes. Overall, the night in the desert was a highlight of our trip!

I stayed at Sahara stars camp with my girlfriends in the beginning of March and we had the best time!! The tents were decorated so cute & were so comfortable. Our room had a comfortable bed, a vanity for getting ready, full bathroom & showers, wifi, and a plug to charge your phone. We had a great breakfast & dinner on site every day. We are vegetarian and they were very accommodating for our diet restrictions. The guys who worked at the campsite played instruments & sang by the camp fire every night after dinner, we danced all night and had so much fun. I highly recommend waking up for sunrise, it’s unreal! We had a wonderful trip in the Sahara at Sahara stars camp. Thank you for being so accommodating & for a wonderful stay!

In the two weeks we spent in Morocco we had many great experiences, but none more memorable than our camel ride into their desert camp. The dunes of Erg Chebbi are even more beautiful from the back of a dromedary at dusk. The individual "tents" had showers and restrooms, but no air conditioning which was not needed at night (it was hot during the day). The breakfast and evening meals were good, and each night there was some type of music by the campfire. Hassan and his team took good care of us, coming to find us when our GPS couldn't locate the rendezvous point. If you are short on time then much of this experience can be had by taking the late afternoon camel ride to the camp and departing the next day. In our case we stayed two nights and added a jeep tour to local sites during the day.

+1
This is by far one of my favorite experiences in Morocco. The camp was beautiful, had a hot shower and even if it was cold, the blankets kept us warm and cozy at night. We watched the stars at night and the people played local music for us. The view in itself was wonderful. Highly recommend.

Whitout any doubt the best accomodation during our trip in Marocco. Everything was perfect: large tents furnished with everything you need, delicious moroccan food and traditional music after dinner. They can arrange tours in the desert, by jeep or dromedary: it's a unique experience!

Not a luxury camp! Buyer beware! We paid for a luxury camp but the owner of this camp scammed us, our tour operator & took us to his non luxury accommodation. Said he moved us to this other luxury accommodation as a group from Hong Kong was very loud. Really? Wow? What kind of a comment is that?
This place was not a luxury camp.It was not what we had paid our tour operator for. They gave us a partial refund so it seems they have also determined him to be dishonest.
Sad that we have to share this experience but feel we need other travellers to be aware of dishonesty. Safe travels all.

We had a lovely time at Sahara camp. The host Hasan actually made our 13 day itinerary for us and organized the entire trip from driver (Ismail) who was 100% wonderful, all hotels, sites and a lovely 2 nights in the Sahara. We are so grateful to Hasan and his company. Can’t recommend this enough!

I stayed at Sahara Stars Camp in March, 2022 with my partner and had such a fantastic time! The tents were roomy and comfortable (though admittedly hot, but that was expected). The first night we took a camel ride into the desert to watch the sunset, then came back for an excellent meal and an evening of listening to live music. I found the desert environment to be just magical ~ absolutely not to be missed. The following day, we took a tour of local sites, including a visit with a nomadic family and an opportunity to hear some live Gnawa music. All wonderful experiences. I highly recommend Sahara Stars and hope to return someday!

We reached the camp after a short camel trek, with the sun rise. Rooms were comfy and food was very nice. After dinner there was some music around the fire and we could see an amazing sky full of stars. We wake up early to see also the sunrise. The staff kindly prepared coffee early enough for us to enjoy before a short walk to the desert dunes. Everyone was very helpful and we had a great night stay.

This place is a wonderful oasis. We rode camels into the lodge, had a spectacular dinner, enjoyed a fire and some music and saw a cool sunrise. We we driven back into town by one of the owners (don’t know the name) in a Toyota truck through the dunes (complete with some interesting turns and dips). A very enjoyable stay. Highly recommended.
