We had a great time at Mammaloe’s. The location is beautiful with a lot of small details, very green and the staff is very friendly. There is a large outdoor kitchen with everything you need, so we cooked most of our breakfasts and dinners. Every wagon has its own fridge in the room and also one extra in the kitchen. There is also the option to get breakfast, it can easily be ordered just the evening before. The wagon was very small but cozy. The AC worked great, the wagon got climatized super quickly. It might be worth mentioning that there is only a curtain separating the bathroom and the bedroom and that showers run with cold water, but that was not a problem for us. The location is great because it is only a few minutes to a local beach, and you can reach the north but also the south quickly. The host was very nice and gave us some recommendations of things to do and places to eat.

It was really an experience staying at Mammaloe´s Bed and Breakfast. We stayed in one of the houses for 7 nights and had everything we needed. The area is secured by a gate you can open and close on your own and keeps all your belongings and your onside parked car safe. Especially great was the very friendly staff and the lovely and freshly prepared breakfast every morning (on sunday we got a very good take-away breakfast). The staff took care of all our needs and presented us with a lot of insights into the island and hidden gems to explore. The room had an AC which was good to have to cool the room for the night. The room had a private bathroom and fridge, the public fridge held freshly prepared frozen meals and cold drinks for reasonable prices. The whole area of the B&B is very lovely styled and you feel at home immediately. Also the pool area was a nice place to stay. We especiylly liked the small turtle garden, which gave the whole place an even more personal touch. We thank Mammaloe´s for a great time in Aruba and hope to be back soon!

Upon arrival you are surprised by the coziness of this oasis. As an aruban who has driven by this area dozens of times, I was surprised how large, yet intimate this hidden retreat with all its wonders is. The exterior does not reveal how many delightful landscaping ideas awaits you. Every corner is full of benches or hidden areas for you to sit, swing from a hammock or read classic books. You could easily spend a weekend here doing nothing and be perfectly at peace. And yet, all the wild flowers and paths blend into the natural Aruban landscape of cacti and the shadow of divi-divi trees. It is nice to wake up to the local fauna. If you want a relaxing natural and unpretentious personal retreat, this place is for you. It is the opposite of mass tourism and yet it does not lack luxury such as a swimming pool. It is amazing that in just a short three years the owner and manager was able to transform this plot of land into beautiful colorful very private cottages. The pictures on the website give you a glimpse of what awaits you, but it is actually better because of the manager's friendly, down -to-earth personal touch at breakfast. The fact that she has run a popular cafe/restaurant previously helps and is noticeable. Everything is very reasonable and you keep track of your own drink consumption on a score board. The Casita Azul is my favorite since it is hidden away in a corner and has the most privacy and fenced in land. We will use them not only for lodging in the near future but for birthday parties as well.

We spent 5 nights in the Queenie Wagon. The bed is comfortable, cold shower only but not an issue you are in the Tropics. Lots of water pressure. Rooms were kept very clean.

Larissa was great both in person and always available for any questions on WhatsApp, even when we caught her on a day off.

Communal kitchen was well equipped and the extra refrigerator per accommodation was excellent.

The pool is small but perfect for cooling off after a day out exploring. Cozy sitting areas and the breakfast area was very nice.

The property seemed very safe and secure.

Our room had excellent Air Conditioning however there is an additional 10 dollar a day fee to run it between 10am and 7pm. We realize this is not uncommon in certain parts of the world it’s just that we weren’t aware of it via the website or booking communication.

This is a very relaxed vibe, where you do for yourself at your own pace. Also the opportunity to meet other travelers who are seeking similar kinds of travel experiences.

All in all definitely recommend.

At the end of October 2020 I stayed at Mammaloe’s and had a great vacation, during these crazy times. Due to unforeseen circumstances I stayed here, but it turned out so nice, i couldn’t have wished for a better place. When you wake up early in the morning and the sun is rising, you have the most magnificent view over the place, hear the birds sing and when it has rained, everything smells so good and everything flowers like there is no tomorrow. For some that is even true :) Willeke is the best host! I still reminisce about the conversations we had. Deep conversations about life, but we laughed a lot too, while drinking a nice bottle of wine. When you need help, you can always count on her for advice or get tips about where to go for dinner or what to see. If you stay here, i recommend to hire a car for during your stay. Mamaloe’s is central positioned on Aruba, so everything is relatively close by.

Made a reservation to stay our last night on the island as our Airbnb could only accommodate up until one day before we left. We booked through Booking.com, but started getting messages from the facility several days prior that they needed our credit card information including the CVC number to secure the reservation. What? The reservation was already secured through the website. They said we had to pay in advance or they would cancel our reservation. Then they tried to tell us we had only paid for one room. We told them we had a guarantee for two rooms. Now, we knew we needed to take care of this, so we took time out of our vacation to drive there in addition to emailing Booking.com. When we got there they insisted we give them our credit information in advance as they had so many people “waiting” to book their rooms, however their credit machine was down. We paid cash, but expressed our disappointment at their tactics. And, before we did, we asked to se the rooms. We only saw one bungalow so to speak. It was small, but sufficient. The property is cute and green with trees. A very small pool. We thought all was well, but later that evening we received a message from the owner stating that we were not a good match for her property and should come get the money back before 11pm. We went at 7:30pm and they would not open the door. They said we had to come back the next day before noon, which we did, and finally got our money back! What a nightmare!

The visit that did not happen for the best of both worlds, So sad to see that people don't understand that if you book a room online you have to pay a deposit for holding the room. For you this was a very strange fact, why would we ask you for a deposit??? For people who run businesses in a time like this, it is very important to have some security, as it is very simple to just not show up as many have done before. We tried to explain this to you over and over again, and the moment that the reaction of anger came up was the moment that I as owner of Mammaloe's decided that I don't want people with these vibes on my property. The moment you are treating my staff as if they are nothing, is the moment I have asked you nicely to reconsider your stay with us because this is not matching with our concept. With all due respect try to look a bit further than your own world.. I wish you all the best Rgs Willeke

The Mammaloe team is friendly, supportive and helpful during my full week of vacation in the mits of Santa Cruz nature where you hear the chuchubi and trupial sing. There is a lot of things to do with all kinds of interesting trips and activities that you'll get explained on the first morning by the team. Breakfast is fine and eating together with others is pleasant and brings a relaxed atmosphere. Do not forget to walk the trail in Sabana Basora! Heartily recommended!

Mammaloe’s is an absolutely lovely bed and breakfast. Apart from the really cute gypsy like trailers that you sleep in, there is also lots of places to hang out and relax on the property. It was very tastefully designed by the very nice lady who runs the b&b. She gave us a warm welcome and made sure that we had an absolutely delightful stay. 1000% would recommend

We visited Aruba again after many years. We stayed at Mammaloe's in Santa Cruz. The space, the details, the environment, the personal attention... As if you just enterred a spa: serene, comfortable and all your worries fade away.

The little houses are amazingly decorated with the most beautiful colors and materials. The bed was really comfortable and we took the time to rest a little extra.

We took the optional breakfast which was an excellent idea. The host, Willeke, asked us what we preferred and every morning we were surprised with new creations. A recommendation!

One evening we decided to use the outside kitchen and prepared a pasta ourselves. The kitchen was well equipped and very clean. But we are more the kind of people to order in :).

We used the pool extensively. The pool area is beautiful between the natural cactus bushes and plants. We were surprised of the silence at that part of the island. Amazing.

Thank you Willeke for having us and being such a warm and friendly host.

Ana
