Our room was 46 degrees so the hotel gave us a couple of electric heaters, however, they caused the circuits to overhead and shut off. My wife had to go down the hallway with her cell phone light to switch the circuits back on. We slept with 2 quilts and 2 horse blankets. Little or no hot water. No stove, no microwave, just a glass top that ran on electricity. The only saving grace was the staff were trying hard. We left after a day and a half.

We were ushered in to our room by the manager of the hotel, Mr. Giandomenico who was very helpful in giving us details of the area, places of visits and restaurants. Toiletries and towels are provided in the room though the restaurant was not yet open in the first week of June. The view from the hotel is amazing with the massive Dolomite mountains with snow capped peaks right in front of you. The hotel is massive and well kept. Would love to go back and stay there again. There are a number of restaurants, ski places and other places of interests, nearby. The beautiful Lake Carezza is just a 5 minutes walk away. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel where local buses ply.

We come here every year at our friend's palce and it is always great to ski, hang out and use the swimming pool (which was unfortunately closed this year). There is not much to do after dinner but it's still ok as long as you are with friends. The owners have changed and it seems it will get better in the future.

This is really a "grand"hotel, but it is grandly neglected.A splendid lobby,a huge music hall ,some more halls,but... We got the key to our room which hadn't been yet cleaned. The beds had to be discovered-they were folded in the wall!(Agatha Christie ,who was a guest there, shouldn't have had a problem finding the beds, but we had) Wi-Fi doesn't exist anywhere, free or paid. And then there was the swimming pool and spa-highly advertised in the brochures-but it wasn't-it was closed the whole week we were there. However, the view is splendid, the weather was ok,the hikes attractive. We are not going back.

While we arrived late and were glad to discover that the kitchen was still serving, the food and wine were just okay and the service was perfunctory. Although the help at the desk were kind enough to personally direct us to our room, which was helpful given the vast size of this hotel and the seeming labyrinth of hallways, we were disappointed to discover that the sink in our bathroom wouldn't open once the drain had been closed, and that there was no one answering the phone at the front desk to address this issue. The next morning we were able to get the sink open ourselves, and when I mentioned this at checkout they appeared to be genuinely concerned about this inconvenience, but that was as far as it went. Altogether, the room was clean and quiet, but I would not give this hotel high marks when comparing it with other hotels we'd stayed at in the Dolomites the previous week.
