Friday 04 08 2023 - 09.00 - 19.30 - MICE - AGMs Stayed at the Iberostar hotel Saidia - Morocco, "again", we have stayed here over 8 times in the last few years. Last Friday, 04 08 2023, we held 3 conferences which were a great success. The conference was perfect, the air con was cold, the room was perfectly clean and well set up. The hotel even arranged for the IT kit for our lap tops and presentations. The food and drinks were amazing, the tea, coffee and soft drinks were topped up all the time, during our marathon 10 hour meeting. The food was also super, ranging from sandwiches, pastries and Moroccan sweets and biscuits. The service was perfect, the staff are so so friendly and helpful. Our guests were very impressed with the hotel in general. WILL 100% use and stay again. Well done Iberostar !! Richard & Noura Dear

Last we went to Tunísia and this time we decided to visit Marrocos but it was a mediocre experience. First, 80% of the food is terrible, badly cooked and filled with weird smells and tastes. The hotel is starting to feel and look old, just looks cheap All around. The hygiene is very bad, everyone touched on everything in the buffet. The rooms have a weird bug repellent smell , my shower didn’t even work properly and the thing that disgusted us the most was the we found a COCKROACHE in the bathtub. After that we start to question what we eat and drink. The animation team is fun a polite. On the other hand , to many kids and people and constant annoying screaming, singing, laughing around the pool etc. Not the place to relax. Pools are big and good for kids. The outside bar is disgusting and the employe gave two cups for water that were filled with gunk on the under side. Decided to get a bootle SEALED instead. Don’t drink anything that’s not sealed. And to end my review, on the first day I caught some bacteria or food disease that kept me near the bathroom every day until the end. PS: it’s in remote place, you can’t do anything outside the hotel unless you pay for excursion who take far too long to reach the destinations (1.20h)

Nice location right in front of Saidia Beach. Unfirtunately is not a “Iberiostar” as we are used to: room had several things to improve: need to apply for Technical support (but went well). Service is not a 5 star. Exemple: oriental restaurant…food at the buffet is repetitive, overcrowded, higyene should improve significantly. Animation Team is 5star. In this particular aspect we see Iberostar standards. In the surrondings there aren’t many things to see. Marina is small and not many things to see/do. Saïdia only diserves a visit if you need cash (ATM available) or Pharmacy.

Regarding our stay at this hotel, classified as a 5 star, it has left a very poor impression and a lot to desire. Aspects such as the cleaning of the buffet (tables, chairs and sometimes even crockery), with rests of food and sauces, cockroaches in the eating area, refrigerators with warm water (that left a sensation that the cold chain is not working), and food that, due to the fact that there was a lot of people eating at the same time, was cooked with raw food at the same time, can turn into a cross contamination that can lead to a bacterial infection. Speaking of bacterial infection, rooms number 3150 and 3152 got symptoms such as diarrhea, fever, stomach and intestines pain. One of the rooms had to take antibiotics, since the fever had reach almost 39°C (that had to be seen by a medical doctor of the hotel). After all of that, at least half of our staying was marked by beeing in our room and not enjoying the hotel, the beach and the surroundings. Such situation lasted until the last day, and we will came back to Portugal still sick. We asked to be served in the room with food and it was provided most of times cold. It's true that the morocco and the portuguese cultures are different, but that can not be an excuse for the health security risk. In other hand, these kind of situations are not acceptable, even more in an hotel like Iberostar. Aspects found in the Iberostar chain, that normally give comfort and security to people, could not be recognized here.

it would be nice, like in so many other instances, to be able to provide a positive critique regarding iberostar saidia. truthfully, the ideal solution would be for the iberostar chain to sell this hotel, as it does not align with the standards i am accustomed to from this very chain. and it's not worth mentioning that this is a matter of culture or country. i regularly choose iberostar hotels multiple times throughout the year, and even just last year, my stay at the iberostar club palmeral in marrakech did not disappoint. unfortunately, with this particular hotel, there are countless reasons to criticize. i cannot award it a single star, because while the reception manages the work volume adequately, when it comes to the restaurant, there are endless lines and a very limited variety of food for a 5-star hotel. there are careless employees, poorly trained staff, lack of attention even in cleaning cutlery, not to mention table cleaning. at the bar, it got to the point where i had to request a new glass after leaving the used one, and even then, they simply rinsed it and returned it. there are countless shortcomings, and compared to other iberostar hotels, there appears to be a lack of supervision over a large part of the staff. the security personnel are rude and poorly trained in their interactions with guests. i cannot recommend, and i cannot endorse an iberostar hotel with such significant flaws. additionally, there is a capacity shortage in the outdoor areas for the number of hotel guests. there are insufficient sunbeds for anyone, and there is also a noticeable shortage in the all-inclusive drink service around the pools; only sweets are available for snacks. regarding the rooms, the bed linen and towels are stained and carry marks from previous use, and there is even an unpleasant sewer odor coming from the bathroom. while there are many more failings that could be enumerated, these are the essential ones for now. a hotel from 2007 that urgently needs remodeling, or to be sold to protect the iberostar brand. if remodeling is the path taken, it is imperative to hire effective management, as there are many instances where it is lacking

I'm staying here until August 16, 2023, and I'm not enjoying my stay. Service is minimal. You have to queue for 15 minutes to get anything. The bar next to the pool has no glasses, no coffee, no beer, and no water. The poor guy keeping the place has to face people's disappointment all the time, so he disappears in order to collect glasses around the pool. If you want to have pizza in the main restaurant (called Oujda), just forget it. It doesn't taste like pizza and it'll take you an hour to get a slice. The other restaurant called Fez is an insult to the city of Fez, which is really known for its somptuous food. The food in this restaurant is horrible (not proper for humans to eat really) and the servers are total beginners. For the price I'm paying, I feel I was ripped off by deceitful adverts.
