We had a group of 10 non-divers ( and even 4 non-swimmers ) on a week-long trip, ranging in age from 14 to upper 70s, spread across three rooms, 3 in the main resort and one in Las Sirenas. Rooms - Nice. large spaces, comfy beds. They provide you drinking/toothbrushing water in the room. Showers are saltwater, but warm up quickly and do the job. AC was strong against the topical heat. Maybe not the height of luxury, but really, what are you doing in your room when theres that beach? Food - All-inclusives can be hit or miss, sometimes overcrowded, or bland, or lacking in quality. Definitely not the case here. I'll review the restaurants separately. * Snack Bar - This is not your bag of chips kinda snack bar. Ceviche, Burgers, Empanadas, etc. Good flavors, I'll admit I only ate here on occasion. Smaller bar, this faces the pool. * Balam - This is the main buffet restaurant, you'll eat here most of the time. They have a rotating schedule of "themes" ( Mexican, Honduran, American, etc ) so you don't get the same thing every day ( other than breakfast which stays relatively constant but with a very good variety ). The food was far, far beyond expectations. Great flavors. There were many second breakfasts and third lunches. Saturday was a big cookout, * Calketts - This is the main bar and evening restaurant. A step up from Balam, wait staff, Food was very good, service was a bit slow, but you know. Island time. * Beach Club - Ate here on the last night ( there was a wedding that took this space for a few nights ). Gorgeous space, and really, really good food beautifully prepared. In the states, this would be suit and tie/special occasion food. Overall, this was far and away the best all-inclusive food I've had anywhere. Beach - Its why you're here, right? Beautiful stretch of beach, not terribly deep but with a long, slow slope once you are in the water. The water is very salty, so floating is easy as can be. Water is very clear, Standing in 5.5 feet of water I didn't need a snorkel to see the bottom clearly. I'm guessing the reef breaks the waves, the water was very gentle our whole trip. Theres a dedicated swimming area right off the resort, with boats and the occasional jet ski going by to provide some small waves. Starfish in the morning, and we even saw a Trunkfish all the way up by the shore. The were always chair available and the guys who put out the umbrellas were very good, adjusting as needed throughout the day. Tip them, they work hard. There is constant security that was no intrusive at all, and a beach bar near Las Sirenas that saves you a few steps. There are beach vendors selling all sorts of things. A quick no and an extended hand is ample to keep them moving, but at the same time, its decent stuff. The Reef is closest at the south end of the beach ( about a 5-10 minute walk, not a long beach ) Theres a piece of wood that looks kinda like a bench, people set out from there and wet to the white buoy then turned left. Those that did that said it was stunning. Tips. This felt FAR safer than Cancun or, heck, most of the US. Very friendly people ( all of them, not just the people at the resort/shops ). Really cannot stress how nice everybody was. Theres a guy in a blackish canoe with faded red, yellow and green paint who sells coconuts and pineapple. The pineapple with vanilla and rum is as amazing as the preparer. Take cash. A bunch of ones, fives and tens. Tip liberally, everybody worked hard. Water Taxi to West End was $5/per person and quick and easy. Most places take cards, but take cash just in case. Your cell phone connection will be spotty at best. This is a feature, not a bug. Know the cruise ship schedule. When they are there, those are beach chair days. When they aren't there, those are the Zipline/Animal park/snorkeling days. Was told that the end of May was the slow season, with only one or two boats a week. Other times, it can be three boats a day. Thats a lotta folks. HUGE thanks to Sterling, Marvin, Willy and Mariana. Great people at the resort were everywhere, but these guys were a step above.

The Mayan Princess Dive and Beach Resort was a wonderful destination for a scuba diving vacation. Transfers to the airport, bracelet room keys and all inclusive amenities, food and drink. Simply walk from your room to the dive boat where the dive staff takes care of your BCD, regulator and tanks throughout your scheduled stay. The dive center, dive staff and boats exceeded my expectations. The food and service were also very good with the Beach club restaurant being our favorite. A special thank you and acknowledgment to the following staff: members for enhancing our experience by providing the ultimate service and warmth: Damara Bennalt, Johanna Guzman, Cindy, Chris and Harry!

Mayan San Simone - Thoroughly disappointed with Mother’s Day brunch. We booked a week in advance via WhatsApp messages, however, when we arrived they told us that they didn’t have a table for us and that we had to sit at the bar. The hostess and manager did not even apologise for messing up our booking and essentially gave us an ultimatum on either we have the bar or we leave. Having already travelled from West End to West Bay just for the brunch, We obviously chose to sit at the Bar. It took 15 minutes for anyone to offer us a drink and another 10 to get a menu, this was also after I asked for drinks and a menu. The food and drinks were good for the price and we did thoroughly enjoy it. However there was a raffle for Mother’s Day and we were not offered tickets and then when we did get tickets, the other half of the ticket was given to someone else, so it didn’t even actually get put in the raffle itself. There was a woman sat next to us, who had the exact same experience, she had booked, and they had lost her booking also. The cherry on top however was that two tables that was set up were kept completely empty. The whole time we were there and still empty when we left at 2 o’clock after the brunch. I will say that the food was excellent and the drinks were good, our bartender was also extremely lovely, but the manager didn’t help at all or apologise and should really have better customer service.

The resort was amazing. The entire staff was wonderful. But there were two special women that made our trip very memorable. Cindy one of the hostesses. Always had a smile, very helpful and extremely friendly. And my favorite barista Damara Bennett. The best cup of coffee ever. Ready and waiting for us every morning. Thank you ladies for everything! LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU!

Check in was fast and courteous. We were in the Las Sirenas section with the AL Sunwing package. It was Easter week and busy. The room was small but very clean and comfy. The bed was a queen size. Small fridge with a large jug of water to refill your mugs. The beach is amazing. Each morning we were greeted by El on the beach he would set up an umbrella for us and move it during the day with the sun. He was awesome. We also had waiter service on the beach, so good. Mayan Princess has the best beach section in all of West Bay. The security team walking around spoke English well and were able to answer any questions we had. We loved being to close to our rooms and the smaller pool in the Las Sirenas section. We ate at the buffet mostly, we ate off resort a couple of times. Do not go here thinking it is a large all inclusive buffet like you would get in other counties. It is small with a few main options. There is always a salad bar and fresh rolls to add to the the hot food being prepared. The food is excellent and they will serve you at the counter. They don't do a lot in terms of desserts. A few small squares only. I love the sweets so that was a bit disappointing. My only complaint I had was all week is that all drinks, water, cocktails, pop, juice was served in a paper cup. I was glad to have my stainless steel water jug for water. One night I asked at the bar and they did give me my margarita in a glass, so much nicer! There is no entertainment staff and the bars and restaurants close at 9pm. If you want action head to West End. We snorkeled every morning at 6am before the boat traffic started. We headed down to the rock wall at Grand Roatan and came back across the reef. We took a water taxi to West End for $5 per person one morning for shopping. The staff were all excellent and made us feel very welcomed. We will return.

We can't comment on the resort since we only ate at their restaurant, Calkett's. The food was delicious. The waiter was excellent and didn't charge us for water. Our friend got the buffet option which had a good selection. When we asked about dessert the waiter told us to have our friend get some from the buffet. Great setup too!

Went with my wife for our honeymoon and we didn't get disappointed, it's definitely one of the most amazing places I've ever been. Food is amazing, the beach area incredible, cozy rooms. It's just simply amazing, I'm pretty sure next time we go to Roatan we will definitely be staying at this place.

I spent a week at this lovely resort, the end of February-beginning of March, 2023. Everything was perfect at the resort! Amazing suite, great food, wonderful staff and fantastic location. All suites are basically the same layout and I was very lucky to have a beachfront suite. The resort is small which makes it special and everything is close, including the beach. Snorkelling at the end of the beach was amazing! I will definitely return!
