Husband, friend and I all needed a refresher dive and Mirta was terrific in all aspects! Efficient at reviewing equipment and procedures, calm and relaxing upon descent and showed us a beautiful slice of Roatan waters during the dive. Have dived in other parts of the world including Thailand, will definitely be going back to Roatan and Las Rocas soon!...

Las Rocas' location and rustic charm is the heart of this resort. It is situated in West Bay, yet it's off the touristy beach traps commonly found in the center of West Bay. The rocky shoreline keeps the crowds and hustling souvenir/tour sellers at bay - in other words, people don't wander this far up the shore and into the...

This is a wonderfull nice and quite place. the rooms are large with good space and clean. The small hotel is away from the main beach and very quite from the noise, but within 3 min. walk everything is accessable. The Bungalows are very close together and leaves not a lot of space for privacy, but it is all looked...

First let me start by saying the two dive masters - Laura and Alex - are the only appealing thing about this dive shop. They work incredible hard to offset overbooking by their management. The boat is decrepit and in need of upgrades. With the overcrowded boats, you can only do one dive at a time, which means you will...

This review is actually from a visit 2 years ago. We went there to dive. The diving was nice but nothing spectacular. Saw lots of turtles and had one really great drift dive that surpassed the others by far. I felt really safe with the female divemaster but not with the young male divemaster, who was often nowhere near our...

Just returned from this place. They are able to pack much punch into a small property. This is not a luxury resort by any standard, so if you need higher class conditions, might not be your cup of tea and crumpets. We came for the diving. DIVE CENTER: Very friendly and helpful staff from my perspective. Laura was our primary...

While on a cruise, we signed up for a 'try SCUBA' excursion which was from this resort. I had taken SCUBA lessons over 40 years ago and had a very traumatic experience. So much so that when I did a try SCUBA in Hawaii 4 years later, I panicked. I wanted to try again but was very (very, very) nervous....

Must first apologize for the lateness of this review. My wife and I arrived at Las Rocas at the end of May for a 7 night vacation. Upon arriving in Roatan we were received by the hotel staff driver at the airport. After a 20 minute drive we arrived at he resort and were met by the staff at the...

The staff and the dive shop make this an amazing place. My girlfriend and I got our padi open water certification with Laura and team. She is honestly the best instructor you could ask for. She is honest, friendly, and knows her stuff. There was also a student getting his dive master cert at the time by the name of...

We loved our stay at Las Rocas! As many other reviews have mentioned, the staff is excellent. Everyone is super helpful, super nice. The location was a highlight, as well. The resort is sort of disconnected from the main part of West Bay at the end of the resorts in West Bay as you head towards West End. This puts...
