If you are planning a trip to Roatan, Ibagari is THE hotel to stay at. I cannot recommend enough. On our most recent trip, we stayed at Ibagari Homes and the experience was amazing - incredible ocean views, private pool and gorgeous rooms made this one of my favorite vacations of all time. As a family traveling with young kids, staying at the villas was the best balance of comfort and service. The ocean is steps from your room, the rooms are spacious and so, so comfortable, service really sets the standard and diving with Duna Divers is the cherry on the sundae. What an absolute treat, we will definitely be coming back!

Within 5 minutes of arriving at Ibagari, we agreed that this is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. We were greeted with tropical drinks as we entered a space with spectacular art that opens up to a view of infinity pools, white sand, and the sea. The architecture and design are exquisite in every detail. We stayed in the master suite (the Hati room), which included multiple sitting areas inside and on the expansive porch overlooking the ocean. The location is perfectly set between West Bay and West End, so we had easy access to the bustling areas without having to fight for a beach chair or deal with the constant barrage of vendors asking to braid your hair or sell you a bird whistle. Ibagari is a high end hotel that provides a tranquil environment focused on impeccable service. I was able to meditate every morning with the feeling that I was alone on the beach. Then I would open my eyes to find that someone had brought me cold cucumber water and fresh fruit skewers. The staff were all gregarious and helpful without hovering or being intrusive. Javier and Sergio went out of their way to arrange various excursions and activities. Lucas provided me with a guided first-time scuba experience that allowed me to progress and explore at my own pace (the reef is amazing!!!). Gabriel, Lourdes, Brenda, and the entire staff took the time to get to know us personally and always anticipated our needs before we even asked. We are extremely grateful for our experience at Ibagari, and we look forward to our next visit.

My family and I (two female tweens and husband) were fortunate enough to stay at Ibagari for 6 nights. It is THE place to stay - nothing else in the area comes close (I repeat: NOTHING in the area comes close - I did explore the competition while here). The property is beautifully laid out with no detail spared in terms of design, artwork, lighting, etc. Sergio and Catherine and their team go out of their way to ensure all of your needs are met and even anticipated. With only 8 rooms in total, you often get the sense that the staff outnumber the guests. The location is a fantastic base from which to walk over to West Bay for some snorkelling, take in the crazy people watching and then come back to this beautiful zen oasis. Afternoons can be spent taking advantage of the complimentary paddle boards and kayaks or simply enjoying the (often empty) infinity pool and hot tub overlooking the beach or the beach itself. The restaurant is open to the public (and is the BEST in the area - bar none) and so guests from other hotels will come treat themselves to a drink or a meal. Why not treat yourself to a stay here? You will be so incredibly happy you did!!! Thank you Team Ibagari!!!

My wife and I were in Roatan in July 2019 and stayed at a different hotel that was a bit disappointing. While we were on the island we decided to have dinner at Ibagari's restaurant, which is highly rated. During that time we struck up conversation with one of the staff members who offered to show us some of the rooms. Overall we were blown away by the down to earth, trendy yet warm sophisticated artistic style of the hotel and decided we must stay there for our next trip (we are divers and already decided to return).

Immediately after returning home in July 2019 we booked our second trip to Roatan for March 2020 and were in touch with Ibagari directly to secure our room for that trip.

To overall summarize our recent experience, this hotel is incredible. The design, the friendliness of staff, the overall service, the food, the scenery. Might be one of my favorite properties I have ever stayed at.

What we love about it is it's a bit secluded and more quiet than other properties; there are limited rooms so it never feels congested with people like resorts; you get more personalized attention from staff; and again the service is just on point.

We got to know many of the staff members there during our 7-day trip and the word to emphasize is hospitality. The staff knows and embraces the concept of hospitality and you feel that in all interactions at the property.

We were also surprised by the quality of the foods, which is always hit or miss at certain hotels. This food quality is well above average.

There are many activities you can partake in as well. While we didn't do the yoga that was offered, we did partake in a painting class at sunset which was quite fun.

Finally, we were booked to stay on 4 full nights and on our last day we decided to extend our trip and shift flights by a few days. The staff couldn't have been more supportive to work with us to make this possible.

Overall, this place is amazing and i can't imagine staying anywhere else.

This is a very beautiful hotel
The architecture is simple but spacious and elegant with plenty of space for everything you may need. Bed is comfortable and AC works just fine although it’s split and not a central unit. There is hot water all day and, this includes the diving center for a hot shower at the end of the dive
The owners are art patrons and art is part of the building, more or less everywhere, with some excellent and some less then great pieces, but in total an eclectic elegant look that still maintains its charm and comfort
Food at the restaurant is mostly great. I’d like to give special high grades to the grilled octopus and black paella, that are extraordinary, normal grades to the seafood soup and not so great grades to the lobster bisque
From the deserts the cheese cake is my favorite
The team at the hotel is absolutely great; made my stay pleasant and safe to the highest degree
I have to specifically mention the diving shop team, Luca and Lucille that made possible dives all fun no work ( for me ) taking away all the small and big things one need to do in order to dive that are not part of the dive itself ( changing tanks, cleaning the equipment- even packing it on the last day, etc )
There is no close reef near the beach, but the place is beautiful, cleaned daily, and extremely peaceful. The trees coming almost to the water are a nice add on
In summary, this is an expensive place by all standards, but it’s a place that delivers for the money and beyond and it’s an ideal vacation location

This is one of the coolest places I've every stayed, globally. It's small enough that its not crowded at all, and its so incredibly stylish and beautifully designed while being authentic to its environment. Sergio, Kathryn and the rest of the staff are kind, accommodating, friendly and wonderful. My husband and i travel a ton, and can get a bit picky about hotels, especially when it comes to customer service, food, cleanliness and operations. this place excels in all categories. Their beach isn't the most amazing in Roatan but it didn't effect our stay at all. We were there for diving so we got our fill out on the open water. We dined at their restaurant several times and it was great quality food. Its often hard to eat healthy and fresh food while traveling but not at Ibagari. We were so happy there that when it was time to leave, we extended our stay by three days! The hotel was very accommodating and we were thrilled to stay a bit longer. Highly recommend.

Beautiful artistic property with private beach. The bed was really comfortable and we had a huge private patio to enjoy the view from our room. We stayed in the top floor tower room and the bed faced the ocean. The room has beautiful art and the furniture and color combination make it seem like a work of art. The exterior noise did not carry into the room and the music stops at 10pm. The shower and bath tub combo have great pressure and maintain the hot water. Now the food, we basically didn’t leave the property and enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner here with Kianny always sharing her laughs and smiles we loved her. Our top drink was a tamarind margarita. The staff here is so accommodating and nice definitely world class 5 star level. There is a security guard at the exterior of the building and there aren’t many vendors on the beach which is nice. Most of the guests here looking for quiet, privacy, and relaxation so not a party spot although some people did have birthday dinners but that is the most of it. The beach is shallow and kinda clear but great temperature and the hotel offers free non motor sport kayaks and stand up boards you can take around. If you want a Caribbean style water you can walk to it in about 15 mins but it’s very chaotic on that side so not my preferred scene. Be sure to arrange airport pick up or take a taxi from the airport. The hotel also can coordinate some fun excursions.

If you have the opportunity to visit and have a meal, you will not be disappointed. The grounds and beach are spotless with unique spaces to sun on the beach, lounge in the shade or soak in the infinity pool. Kayaks and paddle boards are available to borrow. The menu is tempting and the food is cooked to perfection. The staff are friendly, helpful and seem genuinely glad you are here! We 4 ladies were able to enjoy the facilities and restaurant and would not change a thing! Bravo!

We spent a week with my family here in Ibagari and we all had a great time. The service and the hotel are both beyond exceptional. Great amenities, great location, great food, great service, and a beautiful design. We highly recommend this property if you want to spend quality time with your special ones away from it all and you wish to enjoy great food and over the top service. For over the past 15 years, I've been going to Roatan at least once or twice a year to vacation and this is probably the best hotel I've ever stayed on the island. I Highly recommended it, it is worth the effort. Can't wait to return soon

Best hotel I've ever been in Roatan!
Anna was waiting for us on the reception. She was supernice! She showed us all the hotel! Since the very beginning we feel like at home. Our room was very well decorated, full of details. It has one king size bedroom superconfortable,  the toilet was very clean and spacious (with a shower and a bath).  The terrace has an spectacular Oceanview, the sunset from our terrace was amazing! We've been snorkelling on the barrier with a kayak and  snorkelling equipment (courtesy of the hotel). They were taking care of us in every moment, specially Paula, very friendly and nice.  We're so pleased for all U've done for us.
The decoration of the hotel is incredible luxurious, I cannot stop taking pictures of every corner.
All the staff was superfriendly. It was a short stay but intense! We have to come back, for sure!
Definitely Ibagari is a Paradise!
Thanks a lot to Ibagari Boutique Hotel

There were plenty of people there who weren’t divers. It’s such a lovely place I never wanted to leave. Still you can take nice beach walks or hop a boat to town. Can’t rate it highly enough. We felt so lucky to be there!
