There's nothing within walking distance that I was aware of. Las Sirenas was about a 20 minute drive from our port. Part of the "all-inclusive" price we paid was actually that the resort provided our taxi service from the Carnival port so we didn't do any exploring around the area on our own. You can walk up and down the beach and there MIGHT have been places to eat, but most of the things I saw were resort-type places. There were plenty of things to do on the beach though.. jet skis, massages, scuba, etc.
