Good experience, perfect location for ski-in/ski-out. Accommodation comfortable & modern.Restaurants a short walk as Le Hameau is in the Obelisque hamlet area, not centre. Ski hire & small supermarket next door, so ideal. Limited reception hours.

just returned from another trip to same place and apartment been since day 1 of opening. ideal location to the slopes area and place is good with plenty of ski for all the apartments are now tired and need a good clean and decor we got placed on low level ground with a carpark view and a side view of the ski shop, having been many times we were very disappointed to say the least as we booked 14 months in advance. Oven was not that clean with oil and fat dripped in-between glass and door windows and doors were thick with smeared polish continuous air vent blowing through as this was broken in the kitchen area, heaters were dodgy and temperamental Duvet grey and old no connection to watch a film on dvd player as wouldn't work however we made it a holiday and slummed it in the over paid and priced accommodation time to spruce it up 10 years on would go back with a full request Housekeeping is only on leaving day

I'm not a complainer by nature and very rarely write bad reviews, I was going to leave it but felt that Brits considering booking this apartment through Crystal Ski should be in the know before they decide to book. We stayed here this past Christmas week at the Hameau des Airelles with Crytal Ski. We were told that they had a 'Digital Rep' system which means that your nearest real life representative was over the mountain in Sauze d'Oulx in Italy, we have since learnt that this is the only accommodation Crystal has left in the resort as the other two they had closed down within the last 12 months. If you make a complaint on day one, don't expect a call back until 4 days later. The place is extremely tired and dated and the apartment although very warm was on it's last legs, the chairs had nails sticking out of them and the furniture just felt really unsteady, both my husband and I are pretty fit but our backs haven't got over the mattress experience 10 days on from our holiday even though the hotel changed them for us on day 3, they were 4 inch memory foam mattresses which appeared to have kept the memory shape of the that person that last slept in them. Moreover, the bedrooms constantly smelt of sweaty old feet with which the heat didn't help. The walls and floors are paper thin, so much so we regularly heard every aspect of the late night entertainment from the couple next door, as did our kids. (If I couldn't laugh, I'd cry) More importantly, we did not feel that the hotel staff were very accommodating to us Brits, if you were French everything was tailored to French and Italian clients. We booked the hotel because of their Kids club facilities, but my 3 children didn't feel welcome on their French movie or cake baking nights, the DVD and games you could hire were also only in French. The check-in process for us was quick however if you needed reception between the opening hours of 4.30-8pm queues went for hours. Wi-Fi is very poor, actually non existent and there wasn't even a english speaking news or a music channel on the TV to watch in the mornings, don't expect to be able to browse social media let alone stream films because ....well, you just won't unless you are at the ski lift!. We didn't use the pool once in the entire week, the changing area and the pool was tiny, it was always overcrowded and too busy. The location of the residence wouldn't be too bad if it were just myself and my hubby because we would just hop onto the run next to the hotel, but we had booked ski school for the kids which we were promised was behind the apartments, this is only true for little ones. The hotel is right at the other end of the resort so to be able to walk to the main lifts/ski school took ten to fifteen minutes on foot (the ski bus was never regular) luckily we booked a locker at the slopes for our ski's and boards for about 60 euro for the week because you could never walk every day with kids and equipment. Ski school was booked in advance with Crystal ski, our kids are not beginners so we booked them in the appropriate level groups for them.....the morning of the first day of ski school meant that we found out that Crystal had just put all three in a beginner group and there was no room in their appropriate sessions and I wouldn't be refunded by ESF so that I could then pick private lessons because I had paid Crystal directly. I rang customer services every day who failed to sort it out. £500 for 3 kids worth of half day lessons gone to waste because my kids were snow ploughing with either beginners or in a group far too hard for them because they were fully booked, this ruined the week, I can't tell you how disorganised Crystal ski customer service is. (BTW Crystal ski customer services is in Palma Majorca!) We had booked one of the most expensive times of the year to Ski and paid the equivalent of a 4/58 family holiday in Mexico to have experienced a 2 star service. Another note to mention is the Brexit effect...it was in full force, but most notably the Skiset hire shop below the Hameau des Airelles. My husband and I travel on Irish and Italian passports so generally wouldn't notice it, but our 3 kids are British so when we went to hire equipment for them, the chap in charge told us that we were happily welcome in his shop because we were obviously 'real' Europeans who wanted to stay (You'll know which bloke I mean as he tells everyone he's been a ski instructor for god knows how many years and continually points at his little gold badge), I'm sat observing him ignore the British clients patiently queuing while my own kids were being fitted out, he then uttered in a mix of French and Italian that I am certain was to confuse anybody listening and told his staff to serve the Europeans first and leave the English to last, he also told all of the english/british clients that they all liked to wear their boots too big, I'm sat watching people squeezing into boots that were too small of them because he enjoyed having a laugh about it ....if only he knew he had an English born woman sat there with an Italian passport, sorry but I don't do bigots! Oooooh before I forget, the poo....omg they love to bring their dogs here especially at our hotel probably because of the apartments being able to take up to six people. But it's not copable, the French let their dogs defficate everywhere and never clear up after them. I had to tell the kids not to touch any snow in resort an only on the piste! The exits and entrances to the main reception and the ski locker areas were full of dog mess, so tell your little ones to be careful. So all in all, I sound like a right complainer, but all of my points were more than valid, the hotel was horrific, but only made cop-able by the fact that the Skiing and boarding was fantastic, we had two huge dumps of snow as we arrived and the resort itself is lovely and the ski area fantastic. The restaurants further towards the centre were all brilliant value with great service and the ski/board shops opposite the main chair lifts were so helpful when we needed new boots/goggles and boards waxing. So I would visit Montgenevre again but definitely not the Hameau des Airelles.

We stayed one year at the Hameau des Airelles. The place looks tired and dated (burgundy coloured corridors...), and the flat was very charmless, though functional. Importantly, we did not feel that the staff was trying to make residents' stay particularly good. The check-in process was one of the worst I have ever seen. Queues went for hours and an early check-in was charged € 40! We-Fi is very poor - don't expect to be able to read your emails, let alone download a movie. The public spa is ok, but badly organised (hardly any changing space). The location of the residence is not bad (there are slopes at the door), but not if you are a complete beginner - there, a rather long walk to the centre of the resort will be required.

Dissappointing stay at MMV Montgenevre. After eight years staying both summer and winter at MMV MOntgenvre this year proofed a dissapointment. Waiting 1,5 hours to check in, only to hear we had to come back at five o'clock and wait again 45 minutes just to receive the keys (all fomalities were already done). The building is starting to look worn down. Lights in stairways at not working. Our bathrooo was not properly clean, the dinner table was almost collapsing due to age, lights were broken or even gave you an elecric shock(!) and the heaters were hanging loose from the wall. Last but not least a panel from the toilet wall fell out.
