Penzion Veronika se nachází v samotném srdci jednoho z nejkrásnějších míst České republiky, v obci Pec pod Sněžkou. Kouzelné místo nejvyšších českých hor Krkonoš, obec Pec pod Sněžkou, skrývá neodolatelné přírodní a geologické krásy, dýchá historií a typicky horským životním stylem dávné minulosti, avšak hledí kupředu, poskytuje vše, co si moderní člověk představuje pod pojmy dovolená, odpočinek, relaxace, zábava, aktivita, poznání.

Well I admit that visiting this resort in late summer is not usual but c´mon. We came and were quite tired after long hiking in the mountains. OK, the view from the room could have been better but acceptable just for the sleep. Breakfast quite acceptable with really poor offer. So, next time in Pec pod Sněžkou in a different accomodation because this really didn´t worth the money!!!

I'm sorry, Mr. Měcháček that you have chosen accommodation that is below your level. Early on arrival, it has made you tired of having to pay a recreational fee, which is common practice in most countries of the world. I run the pension for the third year and you are the first guest who did not like the view from the room on the first floor. As far as our breakfasts are concerned, 95% of our guests rate them as excellent see the booking.com price and the price for one person 630, -CZK for one night you spent with us with breakfast (rich buffet) is in the center of Pec pod Sněžkou more than favorable. Unfortunately, it is clear to me that even if we cut off so we do not blame you for anything.

We went to Veronika's on our last night in Pec Pod, as it was near our apartment, and looked warm and cosy. The service was fantastic, and our charming waitress helped translate the menu into English for us with great patience. The food was lovely! We had ribs, which came with grated fresh horseradish and BBQ sauce, and a Greek salad and Caesar salad, followed by ice cream sundaes. Would definitely recommend (esp for lunch or in summer as the views from the restaurant are amazing).

Although it is an inexpensive hotel, we were a little disappointed with the Penzion Veronika. An awkward process of having to pay by bank transfer in advance was compounded by a somewhat ungracious demand for up front payment soon after we arrived, our greeting before that having been cursory and perfunctory in the extreme. Towels and a proper clean were only carried out once in a six night stay and there was a mustiness to the room that is partly due to outmoded bedding. Location wise, it was fine, being placed close to some good places to eat and drink (Bar 213 and Enzian Grill in particular) while trail heads are also not far. The breakfast was decent enough but a bit inconsistent in what it threw up.
