We were very dissapointed by the meals- breakfast and dinner, absolutely not worth the money. The best thing was spa and swimming pool, massages and cosmetics. The rooms were ok but cleaning was only on basis od the complaint. We enjoyed the stay in the end, but definitely not worth the money. We have been in 4 stars hotel and the quality of this one was rather low.

This hotel is very bad. Bad food quality, bad quality of massages, very simple rooms not really corresponding to 4stars hotel. But the most horrible is to see how a disabled person can be treated. Physical invasion into the body without permission and against the express statement of the disabled on a wheelchair is possible here. The disabled person has been touched by the staff several times and even told that the personel cannot accept the disabled to sit by the pool. And it even continued at the reception of the spa. The fact that the hotel is serving the food from the dinner for the lunch next day is not that bad as the experience that the staff does not respect your private space. It is good that at least the frind of the disabled was trying to defend her and explained that they are leaving immediately, but she had to pay full bill. After all this. Can you imagine? Never again!!!

Stayed here for two nights and were not dissapointed at all! The location is very good, parking close to the building. Our room was pretty big, everything clean, definitely not dirty or broken as mentioned here in older reviews. The bed was comfortable but creaking, the shower was a little bit old but working perfectly. The only broken thing was my husbans bathrobe which had a huge hole on his butt :) Unfortunately we could hear anything happening at the hallways, most of the time children running and shouting… We paid only for a breakfast which was the best decision since the quality of the food was actually bad, the cheapest salami, the cheapest sausage etc. The coffee could be choosen from the machine including cappucino or hot chocolate. We enjoyed 90min wellness included in the price of the stay. there are nice saunas (at least 3 saunas outside and 4 inside), relaxing zone, a pond etc. Spa opens at 11 but the ceremonies are scheduled only for the afternoon. We were asked to pay a deposite for towels, not usual as everything else could be charge to your room… The aquapark was packed with kids, they even occupied the swimming section and the lifeguard didnt seem to care at all. There were three pools outside, the swimming pool which was unfortunately out of order, the small pool with salt water and one warm pool with bubbles. We also paid for a massage. They did not offer a couples massage and the masseuse didnt speak Czech. the first 10mins of the massage was just a peeling, then shower and then the massage. We also paid for the kneipp bath which was nice and private but after 50mins they turn on the light and ask us to drain the bath and leave immediately which was quite rude. they could have just turn on the light after 45mins.

This hotel is terrible. I struggle to find things to compliment. The carpet is installed well...I guess? When arriving, despite booking an apartment suite, having been promised a kitchen and free WiFi, my girlfriend and I were shocked to find that the so-called “kitchen” was merely an unclean microwave and cutlery that had been left in a drawer under the TV. Further to this, despite the hotel’s heavy marketing and emphasis on its “aquapark” and spa, the so-called aquapark not only requires an additional charge of €15 for 90 minutes, but is in fact merely four small swimming pools with one slide. We left after half an hour. Moreover, despite two phone calls and arguments with the reception, our room was not cleaned once for the duration of our stay. We ran out of toilet paper and clean towels. IN A “FOUR STAR HOTEL”! I could write a 5000 word essay on reasons not to come here, but the overall message is that both myself and my girlfriend (having fallen for the hotel’s slick advertising, which the hotel seemingly spends its entire budget on) couldn’t have been more disappointed. Perhaps the worst place to stay together having been reunited for the first time in five months due to coronavirus. At least the town has nice restaurants, though.

Where to start here. It was terrible from start to finish. This is supposedly a 4 star hotel but I’ve stayed in 2 star hotels that far outclassed this one. The shower head in our room was broken, the TV remote and clock were also broken, the wifi was slow and laggy. They advertise a gym and squash courts on their website but when we got to the hotel we made the unpleasant discovery that these were shut for renovations. We booked an ‘apartment’ suite which had no kitchen or anything that would make it any different to a normal hotel room. Here is the worst thing: the room was not cleaned ONCE in our entire 4 days here even though we put the ‘please clean’ sign on the door the entire time. Everything extra had to be paid for, even meals. The so called ‘aqua park’ advertised on their website is completely overpriced: there’s one slide and 4 small pools, extreme let down especially considering the 20€ cost per person for 90mins. We tried to go to the aqua park at 8pm because it shuts at 9 but when we got there we were told that the latest to buy a ticket was 7:15pm and so we couldn’t go in. The service is absolutely terrible, when we complained none of the staff seemed to care, the customer is made to feel completely neglected and their needs are uncared for. I want my money back, this was a complete wasted holiday and not at all what was advertised to me. The reception staff spoke poor English, luckily my boyfriend speaks Czech and so could easily communicate with them but otherwise language would have been an issue. The only positive I can think of was the breakfast which had a lot of options, but it is not at all a ‘restaurant’, more like a dining hall. It is ironic that this is sold as a ‘wellness’ hotel when I spent the entire time frustrated, bored and upset. Luckily the town of Frymburk is beautiful and we enjoyed the food and atmosphere in local restaurants, as well as Lipno lake, but this hotel was a total rip-off and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I have stayed in Travelodges and Premier Inns that were better than this 4 star hotel. I have never felt so dissatisfied and cheated than after my stay here.

I think somebody has forgotten that we don't live in 90'! The hotel is absolutely anti-guest focused. I have never seen so many argues between guests and receptionists or other personnel. On paper looks everything great but reality kicks you out of dreaming very quickly. - A 4-star hotel should have better equipped rooms - without broken hairdryer, smelly fridge, water staying in shower tub. - Arrogant personnel. - Cleaning of rooms is performed after complains. - Cold water in aqua center showers. - Quite expensive dinners for the quality of served meals. This is really not a 4-star hotel and absolutely deserves not the money you spent for your vacation if you don't want to be angry and disappointed like us. Please try other hotel this one doesn't deserve you ;).

1. Total dirt in the hotel room. Hotel, not apartment. Our room was not cleaned at all until we asked for it. They have only 1 or 2 cleaners who is very arrogant and never have time. They don't change towels and do nothing literally in the room, do not even come. So we had to use wet towels next day as it didn't have time to dry. 2. Receprionist told us that we have a dinner included. After three days it appeared that dinner is not included and we have to pay 100 euro for that. After we tried to explain that she made a mistake, manager came to as and said that this is our fault and that we mislead the receptionist and the restorand employees !!!! In very arrogant and nasty way! !!!!The fish rots from the head!!!! 3.Internet? No wifi in rooms, Even 4G intetrnet hardly catched. 4. Oh yes, during coronavirus they suppose to have desinfection everywhere, and yes, they have. But it is NOT DESINFECTION inside of bottles. Smells like water from swimming pool. 5. Fan was broken in the first day and noone came to fix it after we requested. 6. And the cherry on the cake - there are no mirrors..)) really. You will never know how do you look until return home. Our sincer advice STAY IN DIFFERENT "HOTEL". It is not 4 stars at all, I would say it is not hotel at all. If you really need to have wellness go the once but live in different hotel. This one is disgusting.

Not a 4 star for sure! Table tennis was on the list, but not available. We wanted to play billiard but there was no light where the pool table was set, we asked for light, some guy came and changed a light bulb in another location. We asked again and told the reception lady that we cannot really play without light and she said "... but you are playing...". Restaurant bar staff was very rude, whenever we asked something the answer was "moment" with a rolling eyes face. At the pool you are forbidden everithing: no ball, no jumping, no splashing, no smoking, even outside, We were not alowed to take coffee at breakfast out of the room to the hotel terrace for a smoke. Welness receptionists were nice and always willing to help. We got the first room on the last floor, room was not ready, covers were in a pile not on bed and withour sheets. We asked for another room, we got one but with the default eyes rolling and comments in Czech (my partner understands Czech and the coments were not nice). Overall, a bad experience. Too bad because the location is great.

Spent three nights at the Wellness Hotel Frymburk with family for a prolonged weekend recently. The hotel is located just outside of the lake, with some pretty good features - inside and outside pools (28-34 deg Celsius in February), bowling alley, saunas (cannot judge, wasn't there), lobby bar and "Underwater world". We had two bedrooms apartment with two balconys - the equipment is a bit worn out, do not expect luxury or extra great sleep, but it's decent and clean. Watch out what is or isn't included in the price - not to be surprised later.

We have booked with a clear indication that the hotel facilities (pool & wellness) is included in the room rate, and that we will have the option to pay 6 EUR per person for breakfast. Uppon check-in the following have happend: -I was happy to check-in with my family and wanted to sort out the payment of 3 breakfast straight away, the reception said, what breakfast? We are closed, the restaurant is closed, the hotel is renovated, you have no breakfast...OK i mean it was an optional extra, meaning there should be an option for it, and i would never book a hotel where i have to wake up chasing for breakfast "somewhere in the town" as the reception kindly suggested, but OK -I asked about the Wellness (the absolute sole purpose of our visit, the ONLY reason why we came) she said "ask them, I dont know, you have to pay". OK, so now its getting a bit fustrating. I show her that I have booked a room in the Wellness and Spa hotel with the facilities included. She says no, we put you in an apartment, other company. I said, the reservation is at THIS HOTEL, and it is for a ROOM. She said " I dont care". She calls the "boss", who was probably the ruddest person in the world (which was pretty hard to achieve after talking with his spa team -no good evening, just you PAY- and his reception -I dont care-) -The "boss" confirmed to me, that even though he is the CEO of this hotel, and the reservation is for THIS HOTEl, and the room card has this hotel's logo, and there is absolutely no indication and no communication of putting us in an external company's apartment, with no rights to anything, at the end of the day, wait for it: IT IS NOT MY PROBLEM. YOU ARE A JOKE MAN, IT IS NOT MY PROBLEm...exact words....After 100s and 100s of hotel nights around the globe, for the first time I was properly shocked. I asked one more time, you know that this supposed external company (which im 100% sure doesnt even excists , just a dirty management trick) is using your hotel's name and photos and making pre-paid reservations (LEGAL CONTRACTS) using your name and photos, for services that are not provided? " I DONT CARE, NOT MY PROBLEM, YOU ARE APARTMENT" -The most morbid part: we were alone in the whole place, completely dark corridors (with no option to switch on the lights), closed hotel with under construction signs, 2 spa workers and 2 reception workers (all of which are following the "boss" way of guest service) and us. Thats it. It turns out that the spa not only belongs to the same guy, but the workers are even friends and laugh at us. In other words, all they had to do is, say to the spa girls, OK let them in, their reservation says so, we sort it out in the morning. NO, they were talking about how they should NOT let us in, and how we should pay, in cash..... -Fortunetely it was happening all in the EU and with the world's biggest reservation web platform, so we were able to get our money back and an 1 hour later we were on the way out. The reservation website could not reach them (even though 4 of them were hanging out at the reception, they just would not pick up the phone), so asked us the video the conditions of the hotel. We did that on our way out, to which they started to get agressive, threatened us with police and video recorded our cars.... OK, as in this story it was very clear from the start who is the criminal and who is the one who is being tricked, I did not care much for this part and sort of wish police or some authority shows up, but my family was terrified. Totally understandably. Do yourself a favour and stay away from this place. We learned our lesson, and ended up in a charming little place in Cesky Krumlov. This place, based on reviews, during the season is just a simple, bad service , come here and pay for everything that we said will be included type of dump, during off-season (we were there in november) it is however, a DANGEROUS, CLOSED DOWN, OUTLAW type of very dark place in every sense of the word. I dont wish this for anyone.
