We were very dissapointed by the meals- breakfast and dinner, absolutely not worth the money. The best thing was spa and swimming pool, massages and cosmetics. The rooms were ok but cleaning was only on basis od the complaint. We enjoyed the stay in the end, but definitely not worth the money. We have been in 4 stars hotel and the quality of this one was rather low.

This hotel is very bad. Bad food quality, bad quality of massages, very simple rooms not really corresponding to 4stars hotel. But the most horrible is to see how a disabled person can be treated. Physical invasion into the body without permission and against the express statement of the disabled on a wheelchair is possible here. The disabled person has been touched by the staff several times and even told that the personel cannot accept the disabled to sit by the pool. And it even continued at the reception of the spa. The fact that the hotel is serving the food from the dinner for the lunch next day is not that bad as the experience that the staff does not respect your private space. It is good that at least the frind of the disabled was trying to defend her and explained that they are leaving immediately, but she had to pay full bill. After all this. Can you imagine? Never again!!!

Stayed here for two nights and were not dissapointed at all! The location is very good, parking close to the building. Our room was pretty big, everything clean, definitely not dirty or broken as mentioned here in older reviews. The bed was comfortable but creaking, the shower was a little bit old but working perfectly. The only broken thing was my husbans bathrobe which had a huge hole on his butt :) Unfortunately we could hear anything happening at the hallways, most of the time children running and shouting… We paid only for a breakfast which was the best decision since the quality of the food was actually bad, the cheapest salami, the cheapest sausage etc. The coffee could be choosen from the machine including cappucino or hot chocolate. We enjoyed 90min wellness included in the price of the stay. there are nice saunas (at least 3 saunas outside and 4 inside), relaxing zone, a pond etc. Spa opens at 11 but the ceremonies are scheduled only for the afternoon. We were asked to pay a deposite for towels, not usual as everything else could be charge to your room… The aquapark was packed with kids, they even occupied the swimming section and the lifeguard didnt seem to care at all. There were three pools outside, the swimming pool which was unfortunately out of order, the small pool with salt water and one warm pool with bubbles. We also paid for a massage. They did not offer a couples massage and the masseuse didnt speak Czech. the first 10mins of the massage was just a peeling, then shower and then the massage. We also paid for the kneipp bath which was nice and private but after 50mins they turn on the light and ask us to drain the bath and leave immediately which was quite rude. they could have just turn on the light after 45mins.

This hotel is terrible. I struggle to find things to compliment. The carpet is installed well...I guess? When arriving, despite booking an apartment suite, having been promised a kitchen and free WiFi, my girlfriend and I were shocked to find that the so-called “kitchen” was merely an unclean microwave and cutlery that had been left in a drawer under the TV. Further to this, despite the hotel’s heavy marketing and emphasis on its “aquapark” and spa, the so-called aquapark not only requires an additional charge of €15 for 90 minutes, but is in fact merely four small swimming pools with one slide. We left after half an hour. Moreover, despite two phone calls and arguments with the reception, our room was not cleaned once for the duration of our stay. We ran out of toilet paper and clean towels. IN A “FOUR STAR HOTEL”! I could write a 5000 word essay on reasons not to come here, but the overall message is that both myself and my girlfriend (having fallen for the hotel’s slick advertising, which the hotel seemingly spends its entire budget on) couldn’t have been more disappointed. Perhaps the worst place to stay together having been reunited for the first time in five months due to coronavirus. At least the town has nice restaurants, though.

Where to start here. It was terrible from start to finish. This is supposedly a 4 star hotel but I’ve stayed in 2 star hotels that far outclassed this one. The shower head in our room was broken, the TV remote and clock were also broken, the wifi was slow and laggy. They advertise a gym and squash courts on their website but when we got to the hotel we made the unpleasant discovery that these were shut for renovations. We booked an ‘apartment’ suite which had no kitchen or anything that would make it any different to a normal hotel room. Here is the worst thing: the room was not cleaned ONCE in our entire 4 days here even though we put the ‘please clean’ sign on the door the entire time. Everything extra had to be paid for, even meals. The so called ‘aqua park’ advertised on their website is completely overpriced: there’s one slide and 4 small pools, extreme let down especially considering the 20€ cost per person for 90mins. We tried to go to the aqua park at 8pm because it shuts at 9 but when we got there we were told that the latest to buy a ticket was 7:15pm and so we couldn’t go in. The service is absolutely terrible, when we complained none of the staff seemed to care, the customer is made to feel completely neglected and their needs are uncared for. I want my money back, this was a complete wasted holiday and not at all what was advertised to me. The reception staff spoke poor English, luckily my boyfriend speaks Czech and so could easily communicate with them but otherwise language would have been an issue. The only positive I can think of was the breakfast which had a lot of options, but it is not at all a ‘restaurant’, more like a dining hall. It is ironic that this is sold as a ‘wellness’ hotel when I spent the entire time frustrated, bored and upset. Luckily the town of Frymburk is beautiful and we enjoyed the food and atmosphere in local restaurants, as well as Lipno lake, but this hotel was a total rip-off and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I have stayed in Travelodges and Premier Inns that were better than this 4 star hotel. I have never felt so dissatisfied and cheated than after my stay here.
