Not much to say fishing is always amazing!!! Just need to listen to Wayne. From pick up to drop off. Barb and Wayne are great hosts. Second trip this year for the group done both spring (May) and summer (August) fishing is just as good either time. SEE YOU IN 2023.
We have already booked for next year Wayne and Barb are great hosts and the fishing in this area speaks for itself. Although the heat wave hit us while we were there it did not stop the fish from biting. We look forward to seeing you again next year.
Not even Covid 19 would stop us from breaking our annual tradition. Wayne and Barb have implemented full Covid 19 safety protocols for their guests. Once again the fishing did not disappoint lots of Walleye, Bass, Pike to be caught. See you next year guys!!! Stay safe.
First Time at the lodge and first time fishing kipawa. Had a great time at the lodge and caught alot of fish. Cabins were perfectly clea and roomy. We will definitely try and do this trip once a year. Thanks Wayne and Barb
Once again we were not disappointed we have already reserved for a fourth year. Although with a front moving through made it a little more challenging, listen to Wayne the fish whisperer he will tell you what to do. See you in 2020 Barb and Wayne!! Everyone is looking forward to it.
We stayed at Kipawa this past weekend with our family and had the best time! Wayne and Barb were very hospitable and gave some great pointers for fishing. The lake is so quiet that we barely saw another boat. The cabins were cozy and very well-equipped. We wish we booked for longer! Can't wait to go back next year already!!! Thanks Wayne & Barb :)
This was our second year here at Kipawa Lodge and we have already reserved for our third. A couple of reasons as to why we are going back. One of the reasons is the friendliness of Barb and Wayne and they really want to make sure you enjoy your stay. Wayne’s daily fishing tips were invaluable. The main reason, the fishing it is that good we caught even more fish then the previous year. In all the years we have been doing our trip this is by far the best fishing we have ever done. See you in 2019 Wayne and Barb.
We stayed at the camp June 23 to 30, 2018. The Owners Barb and Wayne along with their top notch staff were friendly, professional and helpful. From our arrival at the dock our gear was whisked into the boat by Jacques and we started our 45 minute ride to the Lodge. The ride was informative as Jacques was a great tour guide. Upon our arrival we were met by Wayne and two staff who put our gear in a trailer and took it to our cottage (Trout Haven) where they proceeded to put it all into the camp. Wayne informed us of where our boat was docked (Get the upgrade it is worth it) and where the best fishing is. He gave us a fairly detailed map and we were off. The fishing was good (probably cause we did not fish hard) although a 27" 7 lb walleye was caught and released. Overall we would recommend the camp very highly, we were sorry to leave.…
This review is from my husband. He went with 8 friends. This lodge was clean, well appointed and functional. The beds were very comfortable and the fridge and stove worked perfectly. The rental boat and motor were clean and functioned perfectly. The lodge owner was knowledgeable and helped direct us to the best fishing spots. He had bait and ice and maps that were very helpful. Overall, an excellent fishing experience.
For a decade a friend and I have been enjoying spending the last week of May fishing for walleye at Kipawa Lodge. Barbara and Wayne Moreau owner operators have over the past three decades offered good accommodations, great boats 🚣♀️ (opt for improved boats equipped with 15 hp electric start motors, depth finder, swivel seats, bilge pumps), option all or no meals; their cottages are well equipped, have good gas and solar electric appliances and power, good wood (provided) stove, lots of hot water for showering and dishes. WI-FI is available though only SatTel has coverage. Bait is always available (leeches and worms, minnows are banned in Quebec). A good enclosed fish cleaning station with power is on the docks. Finally the fishing is always good to amazing with a few surprises of lake trout, pikes (some huge), ling, large White fish... every year I return in July with my wife who though not a fanatic of fishing 🎣 enjoys the warm hospitality of Barb and Wayne, the comfort of the cottages all for a very competitive price. We no longer take our own boat 🚣 as Kipawa lodge offers a transfer from the dock to the lodge (a more than 20 miles boat ride). Camps can accommodate couples and larger groups. Trout Haven the cottage we repeatedly reserve can host six people. We are looking forward to our week in July when a grandson will join us. I strongly recommend Kipawa Lodge, you will enjoy the fishing, nature, lodging, boats and overall service. Ensure that you bring potable water, bedding (optional), food and drinks (the Lodge keeps some items to help if you are stuck).…
