we needed a break from driving and thought we would stop for the night and something to eat. we stopped into Sundridge to check out places to stay and found this hotel, our room was on the lake, if you are not looking for fancy, this is the place to stay. we had everything we needed plus a beautiful view...

It's an older building. Coffee shop, pool and bar is downstairs from the street level, lobby and dining room are up a steep flight of stairs, and conference room is up another steep flight of stairs where the rooms are. The people are great, it seemed clean, but for those with limitations, this hotel would be unacceptable.

Clean Rooms, with great restuarant on site. Cabins are awesome and have stayed in them in the past. Had room in main building this time which was fine. The beds need to be updated, very lumpy. The tvs are a joke, way too small to watch from bed. And that goes for all rooms...two other couples we were away with...

Arrived Feb 13th, the coldest day on record. Had a wonderful lunch and dinner at the restaurant. Rooms were clean as was the hotel. Staff friendly. Power went out at midnight, no power at all, no water and it was cold. The owners and staff had a huge fire going in the lobby and made coffee and muffin somehow. This...

Yes the rooms are old and tired, but they were clean and seemed to be freshly painted, with new windows. The towels were new, extra pillows in the room. New bathtub/shower enclosure. The decor could be improved with some minor details, colour and imagination. But the hotel is right on the lake, we spent the evening sitting in lawn chairs...

We stayed here for 3 nights this past weekend and found the place to be better than the reviews indicated. Our units had new windows and doors, laminate floors, bathroom fixtures were in good condition, older furniture but in reasonable condition, new fridge in both units, grounds were well maintained, beach front a very nice place to relax. Recommendation to...

A place that is trying very hard to redo. In this world where people expect everything and then some for nothing you should then stay home. Places are also what you make of them and your attitude will either bring out the best or worst in yourself and others. I worked in the hospitality industry for years and know how...

We stayed in a Lakeshore cottage and it was simple and very clean. It had comfortable amenities, new towels and perfectly adequate space for the cost, etc. I do believe that the people complaining the most are the ones who are smokers and who are given (well informed) the rooms that have not been renovated. For a couple or small...

Don't count on there being internet, ceiling tiles are rotted out and look nasty, doors don't close properly and locks have been broken into on doors, patio door has no lock and you have to use stick to keep anyone out

We apologize for your unpleasant experience. Unfortunately the Bernard Suites are our older units that have not been renovated - a detail we try to inform our guests of. The building is, however, the only unit that permits pets and smoking. Regarding the ceiling tiles - we've just recently had the roof repaired and the ceiling tiles have been replaced....

I love old hotels that have history and yet have managed to stay current. This, sadly is not one of these places. Not that it is run down or cold or dirty, it just looks like nobody cares. Lobby is painted in dated Dusty Rose hue. There are no interesting historical pictures or a list of the hotel's notable past...
