These people at the Tulbagh know their business. We arrived late after 20;00 and the lady was able to negotiate a price from their normal rates to accommodate us. 1. It was value for money 2. Excellent service The only thing I can worth criticize is parking in the street

The people in Tulbagh are renowned for their warmth and easygoing hospitality and I could see why. Since the moment we arrived at The Tulbagh Boutique Heritage hotel, we were transported from the chaos of city life to a world of lush comfort and elegant hospitality. The friendly receptionist checked us into a beautiful room in one of the manors...

We didn't stay at the hotel but attended a pre wedding early evening get together for friends and family. The terrace at the front of the hotel looked lovely and the band, organised by them, were excellent. The event was well organised, the staff friendly and efficient and the Pizza's were delicious. This is a charming hotel, the rooms looked...

Great to stay away from the main tourist areas. Historic and interesting town - not the main street but certainly Church street. Great breakfast and dinner. Staff very friendly. Our room was perfect for our trip.

We were welcomed by the smiling Elske, who, upon finding that the restaurant was fully booked and we hadn't made any plans to dine elsewhere, arranged a beautiful table on the terrace for us. The room was large, well-decorated and cosy, complete with air-con, satellite TV and a well-stocked mini bar. This hotel is ideally placed for people visiting the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Tulbagh is centrally-located and conveniently placed to explore the town with its historic Church Street and many other attractions and amenities. The main hotel building dates from 1859 & offers a range of contemporary-styled luxurious rooms. The Winterhoek Manor(1813) and the Toll House(1809), opposite the hotel, are two of the heritage properties in Church Street, offering charming period rooms. Individual décor and fine cotton linen adorning four poster beds. Chandeliers on yellowwood beamed ceilings. Our Honeymoon Suite is the jewel in our crown. Crafted from the old wagon shed, this suite oozes romantic charm. Open thatch, two fireplaces, bath and shower for two. There are three pool areas, free Wi-Fi throughout and an in-house beauty therapist. All areas have air conditioning and there are cosy wood-burning fires for winter evenings. Tulbagh is just over an hours drive from Cape Town, nestled at the foot of the Witzenburg, Winterhoek and Obiqua Mountains in the heart of the Cape Winelands. ... more   less
