So, our very, very first experience - arguably the most important five minutes - was pretty poor. We stayed in the cold part of the Ice Hotel for the first night. Booking in took an AGE with young, panicky staff not knowing what to do because 'the computer doesn't work'. It happened again the next morning when we wanted to... More

Whilst this is not a cheap holiday or short break The chance to see, stay and experience this lovely hotel is fantastic. The ice hotel it self is divided into quite a few different levels of rooms You have 3 different types in the actual cold accommodation Art, suite and basic. They are differently priced and depending on what you want... More

An experience worth the cost and travel time. None existent day time but an adventure for those with a warm heart and feet. They provide you with snow suits and YOU NEED TO BRING YOUR OWN HAT. We did not stay long as I did not know about a lot of activities offered there. They have to offer enough to... More

My friend and i took a winter vacation to Sweden in December 2010 and stayed one night in Kiruna and one night at the Ice Hotel in an Ice Suite room. The experience was unforgettable and absolutely fantastic! The one thing I would change, if I did it again, is that I would have toured the ice Suites but stayed... More

We booked a 3-night tour through "Discover the World" with the second and third nights in the Ice Hotel. We also booked an early afternoon husky sledging trip and a 19:00 - 23:00 snowmobile trip to see the Aurora Borealis. Both were good value and we were very lucky to see a great Aurora from the snowmobile when we stopped... More

The ICEHOTEL is definitely worth a visit. My kids rated it as highly as our trip to Kruger National Park & Shindzela private game reserve in Sth Africa. A real experience of a lifetime. The icebar, ice artworks, lighting and overall experience were wonderful. Our room was spotlessly clean. The hotel gives you plenty of time to view the fascinating... More

The most amazing experience! Unfortunately I got food poisoning at the hotel in London the night before which kind of wasted the first day (which, when you're on a 3 night trip of a lifetime is a bit of a bummer!) Still, we were determined to enjoy it as we were celebrating our silver wedding anniversary and we weren't disappointed!... More

Very good service. The staff are refreshingly willing to go above and beyond to ensure you are well looked after. There aren't any "computer says no" brainless robots here. The Ice Hotel is an amazing feat of art and design. As a functioning hotel it's effectiveness is less convincing. We stayed in the deluxe suite which we felt was not... More

What an experience! However you need to speak to someone who has been to get the right tips! First, there are package deals that fly you direct - avoid the trip to Stockholm and the transfer flight thereafter if you can. Books excursions early on so they aren't fully booked. We ended up dog sledding at £400 per person because... More

My wife and I were married at the Icehotel in January 2002 and returned this year for our 10th anniversary. Having been there before we were aware of some of the issues involved in sleeping in -5 deg temperatures, and opted for a warm room for the entire duration of our stay. The room was large and very comfortable with... More
