The experience is very unique and the decorated rooms are amazing. There is certainly a novelty that you will not get anywhere else, combined with being that far north you have the most amazing sunrise and sunsets that lasted for hours. You will only want to book 1 night in the cold accommodations. First word of advice, book the cheapest...

Booked with Discover the World who were excellent. We had 1 night at the Abisko tourist station, 1 night in a Northern Lights ice suite and the final night in a warm cabin. We did 2 excursions, husky sledging and snow mobiling and were very blessed that the Northern Lights put on an amazing show for a hour. What can...

My husband and I expected a grander design, and was a little disappointed with the small overall area and the tiny church. Upon arrival at the main reception with 4 luggage bags, we were asked to drag our bags through the snow to the warm reception area about 30-40m away. It wasnt that far to be fair, but the person...

We stayed only one night in the cold accommodations at the Icehotel. We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. If you are looking to stay in a first class traditional hotel, I recommend staying elsewhere. If you are interested in a once in a lifetime experience at an ice hotel. This one is the best with professional...

Fantastic 3 nights. First night in the ice hotel in the new deluxe suite which was amazing. The only ice room with own toilet! Also had its own sauna and shower! The ice room was -5 so freezing but slept ok in the sleeping bag provided and our thermals! Had a dog sled ride from airport to karuna which was...

I contacted Simply Sweden to book a holiday and have never received such a great service from an agent. Chris was beyond helpful, I asked so many questions and I was always assisted promptly and the answers provided were very detailed. I couldn’t make up my mind re various excursions, and hotels and Chris really highlighted pros and cons for...

Staying at the ice hotel is a real experience. We had one night in a ice room and spent two days there either side. The staff are very helpful and friendly and make sure you're fully prepared for your night in the ice. The free tour of the hotel is great and you have lots of time to check out...

Stayed 3 nights as part of a 'Discover the World' northern lights package, 2 in a warm room and the last night in an ice room. Transfer was efficient, we were expecting a bus transfer but a taxi collected us and another couple. Unfortunately our room wasn't ready on time, so we killed time having a very nice buffet lunch...

I went with my girlfriend as a surprise. It was quite a clinical, non-personal experience compared to a great time spent in a small swedish town Porjus where we saw the Northern Lights in full bloom. Our room was very small and was nothing like the one that was advertised on the website. The ICE sculptures were fantastic and the...

There are times in your life where you get emotional that you are able to be part of something, and staying at the icehotel was one of these. We stayed the night in the Eternity Room which is an art suite. We didn't really feel the cold at night with the hotels sleeping bags. There are no bathrooms or changing...
