Food was edible but quite boring as well.
There is two hotels under same name, wich is a bit misleading. Brochures and photos are showing hotel across the street and it proper name is Hotel Perla Luxury. So we were a bit disappointed on arrival. We could not use other hotel facilities apart from bar beside the stage were all entertainment was taking place.

Great location by the sea, with pool + 2 pools for kids and a slide to each of them. the lobby and reception were as well renewed and the service at reception has improved significantly with very friendly and supportive staff. It's pity you cannot reserve a room. They do their best to accommodate all requirements, but room is unknown until check in.
What I still don't like for this hotel is the restaurant, namely quality and variety of food and the unfriendly supervisors there. Soft drinks are instant drinks. Meals are the same all the time. Products they use are really poor quality - margarine instead of butter, instant milk, low quality cereals, low quality cheese and salami, etc. Very unfriendly supervisors contribute further to the bad experience at restaurant.
They offer room with breakfast, half board or all inclusive. If you are not all inclusive you can pay additionally for dinner, but than you can't get any drink, including water. Strange approach.
In a nutshell: I like the hotel, but not the restaurant and quality of food offered there. There are lot of small family run restaurant around - great food and service at the same price.

The family room (2+2) was quite spacious and the cleaning was OK. The disappointment came with the All-inclusive package we had bought directly by the hotel. It turned up that just one brand of beer and a handful of types of alcohol drinks were included in the package, not all local brands as it had been promoted upon the purchase. The snacks (between the breakfast and the lunch and between the lunch and the dinner) were awful and with no variety: a plate of dry ''sandwiches', a plate of pizza-pieces that were as hard as my shoe soles, and a plate of tiny green oranges. The pancake baker disappeared after the 3rd day, the so called coffee in the restaurant was disgusting and the regular coffee offering at the lobby bar used to open after 10am.
The personnel looked bored and far from service-minded.
Most of hotel staff are friendly and hard working. In restaurant (buffet style with bar and barbecue corner) they work like a swiss watch.
Most rooms are sea-view, our 2+0 was big enough to be turned into 2+2. Aircondition and fridge are present but didn't use. Food was fine, selection of at least 5 dishes of every type, but repeating.
At our stay were clients Czech, Germans, Russians and Bulgarians, mainly families (like in all Primorsko). Therefore nothing for anybody who hates children running and shouting everywhere incl. restaurant. The pool is not large for such a big hotel, but beaches in Primorsko are nice and large enough.

The following things were noted BUT were not holiday spoilers. This is a traditional Eastern European Hotel. My wife is Polish and I live in Poland.
I WAS THE ONLY ENGLISH PERSON IN THE HOTEL (My problem)
The balconies are shared. Hey, for that morning cigarette with your fellow smoker next door. Be sociable.
In our room 108A Ground floor - The shower might be found to be small for some ´larger people´. People´s fault not hotel´s. However spending on average 20 minutes a day in the shower.... Come on.
The toilet door would not shut properly. Me and my wife know what we look like. Fault reported at the end of the holiday.
We don´t as a rule use any air con on holiday (Not that we are mean .. air con is free in this hotel) WE think it is unhealthy. However would check is working OK as soon as you get there.
TV had no English channels. My wife is Polish and we live in Poland. Life is brutal.
The all inclusive (VERY GENEROUS) drinks ,usually in glasses ,had to be scanned for using a wrist band. Something that does not normally happen on Greek holidays.
Overall
We were on the 1st Floor pool side with limited view of beach. We usually do Greek Holidays. This was much better. Food (Main meals as well as bar side snacks ranging from sandwiches, as much as you can eat ice cream and cooked to order burgers or pizzas in the afternoons), room, service and staff excellent. Pool and pool area was clean with plenty of parasols and loungers, Chairs and tables.
The animation team worked very hard with both the adults and the kids club. You only get out what you put in.
All staff worked very hard and were always looking happy. They probably were not the way some of the guests talked to them. Good effort on all of them. Remember you judge people on how they treat people who can´t answer back. Be nice to the staff.
The beach was a nice 10-15 minute walk from the hotel via the bridge.
The ferry was quaint, BUT BEWARE that the operator has lunch 1200-1300.
On the beach sun loungers and parasols are fixed priced and cost about 40 zl (8 pounds) a day for 1 parasol and 2 sun loungers. Best to take some beach towels and buy a parasol from the town. Town centre was a normal touristy place.
The location of the hotel is good - 5min away from the South beach.
There is a parking, but it has only 10 places which are always busy - you need to park on the back street or for your car`s safety pay for parking. The municipal parking costs 6 leva per day and its 10 min away from the hotel, on the back yard of a school.
The breakfast/ lunch/ dinner is always the same. Main dishes are chicken and fish and a couple of salads and potatoes. The free alcohol is not good - the wine tastes like mixed with water... For breakfast do not drink milk or coffee - their taste is awful.
The towels and sheets was not changed even once for 5 days. We asked for extra toilet paper and the cleaning lady did not left us any - we went to reception to ask for one.
The pool is small and I did not went in. Every day we went to the beach. Umbrella and sun bed cost 10 leva. I recommend it instead of staying next to the hotel pool.
"Do not take a room at first floor! 1xx. Your balcony is almost in park in front of hotel."Read full review
"higher floors have better view, although even floor 1 is good enough for a great morning sunrise view. Half of the rooms look at the back and perhaps you need to ask for a sea view."Read full review
