Now for more pleasant) the hotel is very nice! Rooms are comfortable, balconies (but do not expect good cleaning) The food is delicious, the staff of the Swedish line is attentive and friendly. The pool is clean, spacious. There's a playground. The sea is clear. But note that the hotel is on the shore of the northern beach of 7 days 2 was calm, mostly waves and red flag. You can't swim with kids. We noticed it at the very last minute when we already bought a ticket.
The town is small but interesting. Things to do for all ages. Masses of cafes, restaurants, shops, attractions.
Swimming pool ok. In the hot season not enough beds, so typical morning actions to book the bed. When was going for jogging ca 7:30-8, most Of them was already reserved by towels:( hotel staff did not manage the problem.
Location- very close to main entrance to beach, hotel beach with umbrellas is ca 150 m from the beach entrance, nice area and surrounding, quiet, but as well close to city center. It was our first time in Bulgaria, still you feel and see the ghost of former comunistic period. But in general, hotel, place etc was for us positive surprise.
The hotel staff is very friendly but this fact doesn't help you when you get really bad room, which has happened to us. We have spent 3 LOOONG days of waiting for another one.. First room was really tiny and not really the standard promised. Room nr. 205, if I am not mistaken. Avoid this room at any costs!
Hotel staff speak Bulgarian, most of them have communicative knowledge of Czech and the same goes for English.
Food - is quite ok. But too much nonsense is served like pommes frites (Balkan specialty? I don´t think so) and typical Czech food - Wiener Schnitzel (only it is Czech schnitzel ;)).
Drinks - drinkable table wine, local beer and some weird cocktails for free included in the all inclusive. And soda machine with water, cherry/apple/orange "juice". Sad, that the juice tasted rather chemically and I couldn't help feeling some artificial sweetener in it. Unfortunately all kids loved it!
Food serving - sometimes the staff takes away your half-full glasses and plates to show the activity. It was very disturbing. There is no dress code for dining room, so you have freedom to wear even shorts etc. Of course no swimming suits ;)
Hotel room - if you don´t get the wrong one, they are quite spacious, have great (and quite silent!!!) air con and enough space for family to enjoy the stay. All rooms have balcony with 2 chairs and small round table.
Cleanliness - I was very happy with their cleaning standards. The place was really kept in perfect state all day long. After changing the room, we have moved to other part of the floor and our cleaning lady was rather lazy and slow, which was pain, especially when staying in the room more with sick child.
Swimming pool - there are quite many lounge chairs around but in high season I can imagine fighting for it. I appreciated that the local pool guard is removing untouched things from the chairs after 30 minutes of being left unattended. So there is still chance you will get your place :)
Playground - small but sufficient. Ok for younger kids.
Sea - there are free umbrellas (no chairs) on the beach. There are rental chairs available for 5 LV a day. In the noon you catch your place on the beach without any hustle.
Surrounding - cemetery :), many playgrounds and shops in the city.
Shopping - quite expensive are medicaments at local pharmacy, but also the typical summer stuff from toys, towels, up to clothing are not cheap. Recommend to take everything with you if you are traveling on budget.
Doctor - there is local doctor cooperating with the hotel (Czech and Bulgarian speaking) who has contract with most commercial insurers. Strongly recommend to use his services to avoid the high cost of medicaments as he can get you everything what covers your travel insurance.
Airport - is 1 hour away.
Our stay had too many ups and downs, so this time I withhold to recommend this hotel.
They are surely trying hard, but sometimes trying is not enough..
