The hotel fulfilled all expectations. It was clean, well equipped. The food was varied, very much fruit and vegetables. Local cheese and other dishes of a Bulgarian cuisine are worth appreciating.
The hotel (in fact, a group of hotels) covers a very large area. From Marina Royal to our favourite pool was about 900 metres. In my opinion, it is an advantage and not a disadvantage - between the attractions and hotels there was a lot of greenery, shade.
The hotel is of course a bit kitschy. Overloaded with Greco-Roman symbols. Plus gilding, sculptures as if from the Roman Forum plus towers pretending to be castles. But despite that its functionality is excellent, there is a lot of space. There were always free deck chairs (whether on the beach or by the pools).

Customers are primarily Bulgars and Romanians. For me, too many of them were tattooed big men wrapped in gold. There were also quite a few Germans and Poles.
The Marina Royal hotel was built so that most of the rooms were far away from the noise - our room was very quiet, close to the car park but overlooking the sea.
The air conditioning was quiet and worked well.
I would recommend

I start with the reservation process, that was very easy trough a Romanian agency from Piatra Neamt.
We were a little bit scared because of COVID- 19 rules and we get in contact with the hotel and the reservation person in charge, Lyubomir who’s was very charming in his emails assured us that all the protection procedure were respected and I really can say that everything was spot on regarding the social distances.
We traveled overnight with small children’s especially that one of the children suffers of heat sick and Lyubomir was very nice to approve us an early check in for at least one of the rooms but at the end we got both rooms earlier.
Check in process was really welcoming which is nice after a really long journey.
Rooms have been large enough for a family of 4, probably we had a superior.
The food was very good and diversified, the queue at the buffet wasn’t bad at all even at the rush hour.
The drinks are the regular savoy ones but the draught beer is BECKS, which is very good.
The beach is spotless, the sea water doesn’t go deep for at least 50 m, very nice for the children’s.
the hotel grounds are superb, water slide are a joy for the kids, animation team are keeping the kids busy during the day with lots of activities and the night shows are really good.
I really think that Marina Royal Palace is the best hotel in Bulgaria and is getting really closed to Turkey resorts regarding services, premises, all that he offers to the his guests.
I booked again this year to Marina Beach, and I really can’t wait for our Holliday
See you soon !!!

Kindest Regards,

Mihai Rusu

Positive:
Hotel is closed and everything what you need is inside, no ned to leave. Activities, performances, food, beverages is on one hand and free. Rooms were clean. And cleaning lady came every day.

Negative:
1. Hotel is very old and the furnishing also, it needs a big refreshing.
2. There were ants in our room and also I saw one drowned in the soup.
3. Food is with very poor quality, one morning I took scrambled eggs, which didn’t taste as eggs and were in shape like cubes it was very weird.
4. Hotel with 5 starts should have more experienced staff, not 18-20 years old people, who don’t bother to clean your table after someone else. And behave ugly with foreigner.
5. Hotel is huge with such an amount of people there is no way to rest there, always hearing something.
6. Sheets were with stains, because they are so old.

simply furnished, but clean, spacious rooms, daily cleaning, change of bed linen, towels, in the end we had them cleaned every other day. My son got an ordinary extra bed on the sofa bed, so we took the weak mattress down to make it more comfortable for him. when we came from the sea, the mattress was gone and replaced by a real high mattress - an extra bed - the cleaning lady solved it without our urging. If there weren't three really giant spiders in the room during two days, then there is probably nothing to complain about except for the missing fan in the bathroom. Luxury, really the biggest selection we had anywhere, everyone had to choose. Nothing unilaterally seasoned, everything was perfectly seasoned, not salty, suitable even for children, fruit, vegetables, all kinds of meat, sweets, soups, dressings, cereals, for vegetarians, even a corner with sunars and snacks. Drinks of everything, the possibility to take a bottle of water, alcoholic, non-alcoholic, wine, champagne, mixed drinks from the fridge, as soon as breakfast was over, they opened snack bars in several places, certainly no one went hungry

gradual entry into the sea suitable for children and the elderly, plenty of sunbeds on the beach. There were algae for two days (they will not affect the hotel), it is a sheltered bay, a shoal, there were jellyfish but they did nothing, there were waves in the distance, so everyone had their choice, showers at every corner, WC - maintained, cleaned, trash taken out regularly. Lots of seagulls who go after food - but people themselves are to blame - leave leftovers by the sunbeds

This is one of the best Bulgarian hotels I have been. I recommend it. The hotel is huge. The rooms are very spacious and very clean. The beds are comfortable. The food in the restaurant is very tasty and varied. The waiters are kind and polite. There is a huge park where you can walk in the evening. Mini golf and tennis. The beach is beautiful, the sea shallow. Clean and nice pools.

What I didn't like.
1. There was only 1 small bar of soap for 2 people in the room. I had to ask for shampoo and soap. Bring ur own because there is obviously a problem.
2. The umbrellas on the beach are so thin that they do not protect from the sun. All people put towels on them to have some shade. It's as if there are no umbrellas.
3. I noticed dirty glasses and cutlery in the restaurant. It is unacceptable to return a glass every day because it is dirty.
4. The animation was very sluggish.

In general the hotel is nice, ideal for families with children. Huge park, nice rooms, delicious food, wonderful beach.

If you were pleased and enjoyed this resort in the previous years, I am afraid I will have to recommend that you should cherish them and stop planning another trip to this resort. I have just received the worst room after 10 years in a row, completely unproffesional and unpolite personnel and significant decrease of the quality of the entertainment. Worst of all is that there are not enough beach loungers and we have to pay for ones at a beach nearby!!! Shame for this downgrading….

Extremely poor services!
The main bartender at the restaurant bar Marina Royal was demonstrated very rude attitude!
Unprofessional and snooty.
And in general, the level of quality is getting to the bottom compared to 2022.
The resort needs to be refurbished!

The hotel and facilities need refurbishment. It is a really good place as a natural and infrastructure set, but it is poorly maintained. The resort is old and it is detectable from the entrance. Even the umbrella and sun beds are low quality and old. There is no entertainment at the beach and around the pools. The food is low quality. In summary - Disappointment.

Stayed at Royal Marina Palace, Duni, Bulgaria from 10 July to 24 July 2006 for our honeymoon. As you arrive, which for us was late evening the hotel looked fantastic! On the whole this is a very nice place to take a holiday and chill out. We booked through First Choice and told them prior it was our honeymoon - on arrival to our room we were greeted with a basket of fruit and a bottle of wine and fancy towel sculptures. The room was beautiful - comfy beds, beautiful bathroom and lovely balcony with a partial sea view. The complex itself is excellent, we could eat and drink, as part of all inclusive package, at all hotels on resort but the other hotels couldn't use ours as this is the five star hotel on the resort. There isn't much entertainment on an evening unless you walk over to The Pelican and enjoy the staff and music at the Pool Bar, we found that by going into Marina Palace (next door) you could avoid the hussle and bustle and just chill out!

One down side, the hotel is over run by Germans who are extremely rude to the staff, but apart from that I would definitely recommend the Royal Marina Palace and Bulgaria.
