Went at the very start of the season, lots of snow, thomson crew at airport v helpful, met by reps and quick turnaround of snow gear, they do provide EVERYTHING, gloves, hats, boots etc but if you got spares I'd bring them as they have to be returned the night before you finish. Hotel apartments well equipped and warm. We...

Like the last review, we went last year to the Snow Elf and had an absolute ball! We travelled with our 2 little ones (7 and 5) and had an amazing time! When arriving to Kittala airport we got all our thermal clothing and then we were off to the hotel. When arriving we went straight away and booked our...

Just over 8 weeks to go until we return to the fabulous Akashotelli (Snow Elf Hotel). If you are looking for an authentic experience this winter, this is the place to be. Absolutely perfect surroundings, for ski or non ski holidays. We love this place because it's provides everything you need for a Magical Christmas, without been over the top....

We are due to stay at this hotel this year and are wondering if: When using the swimming pool are normal pool shorts that most of the men in the UK wear or is it imperative that budgie smugglers are worn (in that case we wont be using the pool). 2. What is the food like? We have a very...

Our 5th visit - food has improved in the past couple of years, but cabins starting to look uncared for, unclean and dark with very limited facilities and space. We managed to move into an apartment mid holiday which was much brighter, cleaner and better storage and facilities. However this was closer to the road where cars (taxis, buses) are...

My partner booked this hotel as a surprise for my 21st birthday in 2012. We stayed in a log cabin which had its own sauna, this was amazing! The log cabin was very quaint and traditional! The hotel grounds are so beautiful and have a huge ski route where you get to see some lovely places. The hotel restaurant and...

We stayed in an apartment here for an Easter holiday skiing break. What a nice choice. Our two-bedroom apartment was right down by the lake shore; a peaceful location and perfect for access to the cross-country ski trails, not to mention viewing the Northern Lights. Our apartment had two twin/double bedrooms, a kitchen diner, a shower and sauna. It was...

We were living in a 56 square meter apartment that was quite new, clean and modern. Two bedrooms and small living room/kitchen combination. Kitchen was good for making some snacks and coffee but there were only few cups and classes. But it was enough for us after long day doing downhillskiing. Apartment had very peaceful location behind the hotel main...

I have [cross country] skied in numerous locations but this the best for snow sure conditions, excellent tracks [lots of them] and excellent signposting. I have come back yearly for several years to this area and this hotel. Breakfasts are buffet and extensive choice [to paraphrase Star Trek "It's scrambled eggs, Jim, but not as we know it" but rest...
