This was our first time to Lapland/Finland and can honestly say we can't wait to go back to the same resort and potentially same hotel. The package deal we got with Monarch was first class and really worth the money, this included flights, transfers, accommodation in a scenic log cabin plus half board (upgraded from B&B) ski suits and boots...

You can practice all snows activities with hotel free facilities, swimming, karaoke, bar, and so on, the restaurant is very goog and sufficient large, we spent a week and all was very nice. Specialy the reception for example to help us for technical problem on our ski, or some rooms accessories.

We booked this hotel as most of the log cabins were sold out or were too big and expensive for two people. I can barely give it three stars and the reasons are simple. Standard rooms are medium size with two very narrow single beds. In the beginning I was afraid to tip over when changing position. The lighting in...

The apartments are good with oven, sauna and drying closet in room very important after winter activities! (but never book standart room - it's very small and uncomfrotable). the location is superior with crosscountry ski tracks from the hotel, 10 minutes drive to ski lifts you are in the very center of the winter wonderland... there are no double beds...

I went here with My seven year old son on a 4 day trip 22nd to 26th December. When we arrived at the hotel and shown our room down a metal spiral stair case with our luggage. I was not very happy with the room, admittedly it was one of the cheap ones,so fair enough. So I went to reception to...

We picked this hotel for our short stay in February and booked one of their log cabins to stay in - on the grounds. Upon arrival our cabin was not quite ready so we wandered off for a walk and had a look around the small village of Akaslompolo. The village has several good restaurants within easy reach and a...

We travelled to Lapland with Monarch Holidays on 7th February 2017, for a 3 night stay. We stayed in a cabin at Hotel Akashotelli in Akaslompolo, which is around 40 minutes from the airport. Before getting to the hotel you are taken to one of the other hotels to pick up your snow boots and snow suits, which are certainly...

Just back from an amazing trip to Yllas, arranged through Monarch; the arrangements were faultless and everything ran smoothly throughout. Warm clothes on arrival (only take base layers with you, no normal clothes needed). The taster sessions were great, we loved the visit to the Snow Village (which is really just an ice restaurant, and one "warm" restaurant, then the...

We stayed in one of the log cabins and loved the rustic simplicity although they could do with a bit of a makeover. The cabins are very warm and cosy and have all that you need for a few days. It is very peaceful in the forest and we liked the short walk to the main hotel to eat breakfast...

We did the Artic Experience through Monarch and stayed in a log cabin at the Lapland Akashotelli opting for half board. We visited the Snow Village and took part in the taster activities with Lapland Safaris, who also supplied the snowsuits and boots. We booked the longer activities of husky sledding, snow mobiles and snowshoe walking and although expensive, thoroughly...
