My partner and I stayed here on Thursday for one night on a Travelzoo deal. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff at reception and in the restaurant were pleasant and helpful. The hotel is in a small pretty village near to Chesham, and was a great location for us as we were visiting a relative in Stoke...

Restaurant service laughable (but depressing). We booked for 7.30, first course arrived at 8.30, second course at 9.30. Rooms tired. No Ice available and glasses were hot. A long way to walk to get anywhere - they should warn when booking as people with minor walking difficulties (two in my party) really struggle. There was a large hole in my...

The hotel's location is quiet but this large site can get very busy as it is an events and conferences venue. The grounds are large and there are numerous buildings to provide extra facilities for conference guests. The rooms were clean and fairly well maintained but there can be a lot of walking involved, depending on where your room is...

I had a few bad experiences with hotels holding on to their past and forgetting the customer requirements of a modern day business traveler. But I was not prepared for the following: Staying 3 nights in the de Veere Hotel Latimer Place felt like a lockdown in a tiny prison cell. Although interior designers tried to disguise the fact that...

Quiet scenic location. Very friendly service throughout our stay. Mixture of old Victorian part and modern buildings. Everywhere clean and well decorated. Excellent pool and leisure centre. Bedrooms we saw were modern and well appointed: some with fantastic views (unfortunately ours was not one of them). Excellent restaurant and breakfasts. Nice bar, plus very spacious public areas. I would certainly...

Stayed in the new building, although room was small, very clean. Choice of food was interestingly unusual and of a high quality, staff were attentive, friendly and provided a great customer experience.

I booked a one night stay at Latimer Place on line and received a confirmatory email. I arrived after a 6 hour drive through snow and hail and just wanted to put my feet up. It took reception 15 minutes to find my booking! I suggested that they should speak with their web designer about a glitch in their booking...

We were initially put in a large bedroom in the main building. It was absolutely freezing. I called maintenance who came and took the radiator apart, the dust and dirt behind it was pretty shocking. He adjusted various parts and then left saying he'd be back in an hour to check on it. I had to sit and do some...
