Cannot fault the cleanliness of the hotel, friendly staff, towels and sheets changed regularly. Nickolas remembered what everyone drank and was an amusement in himself. Manos and Sonya (brother and sister to Nickolas) were also lovely. A lovely family run hotel. Housekeeping staff were good although the quality of the cleaning was noticeable when our regular lady had a day off and was not as good. However, we also had the ‘I ve been coming here for 20 years brigade’ who had their towels on the sun beds by just after 8.00. There is a sign asking people not to leave things on their sunbeds if going to the beach but this obviously doesn’t include leaving the hotel for a 3 hour lunch. It’s lovely that people return time after time but surely they shouldn’t take over!!
This was our 9th annual holiday at Zeus. And the first since COVID, so after a 2 year break As always treated like part of the family. Nothing is too much trouble. As we hadn't had a holiday for 2 years we treated ourselves to 1 of the larger rooms overlooking the pool. The weather in Oct is a little cooler than June but only a 2 hour rain shower and an overnight storm to indicated that Autumn was here. The breakfast was as always simple but healthy with toast, cheese, ham, boiled eggs, tomatoes, grapes, jam and cake. With Tea, coffee and a choice of 3 juices. If you wanted eggs on toast or full English, this was available cooked to order for 3 to 5 euros. From lunchtime to 5pm there is a wide range of snacks and meals available from the poolside bar. Along with hot and chilled drinks and, ice cream. Loads of sunbeds around the pool with 1 umbrella per 2 beds. ONLY 2 rules. 1) food eaten at the pool must be bought from the pool side bar. 2) do not leave towels on sunbeds and go for a day long stroll. The rooms were serviced daily and plenty of hot water available at all times of the day. Bedding (2 sheets) changed frequently. Towels daily. Evenings at the bar can be lively, but usually well mannered and often hilarious. 2 large TVs show sport on request. Background music is main stream UK from all years and genres. Drinks are priced slightly above local bar prices, but the measures make up for that. :-D TIP when you leave your room if the window is ajar, don't let go of the door. IT SLAMS WITH A BANG. Its coastal there is a constant breeze. All in All a great hotel to spend your well earned two weeks holiday. Many of the guests return year after year so they must be doing something right. We would like to thank Manos, Nick, Dionusia, Maria & Zak for helping us enjoy our holiday. Already booked forn June 2022 and looking forward to another great time.…
I can't believe this is only a two star hotel, I stayed in 4 star hotels that do not compare to the Zeus. This family run hotel has a friendly atmosphere, the rooms are spotlessly clean, there's a great pool and thick padded sunbeds. Nicholas on the bar remembers everyone's name and how they like there drinks he's a funny lad. It's only a five minute walk to the beach with a few bars tavernas and restaurants close by.
Just got back from two great weeks at the Zeus. A lovely family run hotel were nothing is too much trouble. We've stayed in four star hotels that are nowhere as good as the Zeus. The rooms are spotless, decent size balconies and a great pool. Nicholas the son is Amazing (his words not mine) he is a star he'll remember your names from day one and remember how you like your drinks.
First time to Kos first time to Kefalos could not fault any thing a great family run hotel who could not do enough to make you have a great holiday always helpful especially with the dreaded tests and locator forms( thanks nick) the rooms were modern and big enough with a good shower air con (extra 6 euros a day) hair dryer and a small fridge we had a lower room which was fine by us spotlessly cleaned everyday the pool again spotless as was reception/bar area continental breakfast as you would expect but an English can be bought at 5 euros or a 30 meter walk to a English cafe the pebbly 5 min walk 2 beds with a parasol 7 euros a day also lots of water sports plenty of eateries close by A MUST TRY IS THE HIPOCRATESE great food ,for music and beer MY PLACE only walked into town the once as it was about 30 mins that is why people hired cars as well as to see the rest of the island WOULD I GO AGAIN? for rest relaxation sun and cold beer DEFO A GREAT THANKYOU TO ALL THE FAMILY Andy &Julie 19/30 sept…
First time at the Zeus and booked already for next year , really nice hotel , very very clean , beds are comfy, and shower is fantastic . The staff can't do enough for you an are really lovely . As i said the only thing thats wrong with it is the breakfast which isn't awful but could really be so much better , maybe let people do their own toast , and add some cereals and fruit , it would make a massive difference . Apart from that small detail its perfect
First time at Zeus Hotel even though I have been going to Kefalos for over 20 years. It is quite a way from the centre of Kamari Bay. But there are plenty of restaurants close by to choose from within a short walking distance. I had one of the older type rooms in the basement. It was fine for me. Very spacious and kept clean. The staff here are great. Niko is a great host in the bar and how he remembers everyones name I will never know. They do get a lot of returning guests which on the whole is not a bad thing. However, there are a few who think they own the place. God help you if they don't like the sunbed you set your sights on. They will literally remove your towel and replace it with theirs as happened to me even though there were other sunbeds available. Horrible people. But, you cannot blame the hotel for the actions of a few selfish guests. Would I stay here again? Probably yes I would.…
Nice place to stay for a couple of days in Kefalos. KTEL bus station and a market 100 meters away, cafe and couple of rent-a-car shops nearby. 5 minutes walk to Agios Stefanos beach, 10 minute walk to ruins of the Basilica St. Stefanos. Place seems popular with british guests who hang around the pool most of the day and were a pleasant company for a late beer in the hotel bar.
Just returned from 2 lovely weeks in the Zeus hotel . I travel to Greece 2 or 3 times a year and always stay in small and friendly hotels but the staff in the Zeus tops the lot . wonderful people . The hotel and pool are spotless and well maintained , my only negative is the rooms are small by Greek standards but that wouldn't stop me from returning .
Had a lovely two weeks at the hotel , great staff who are so friendly . Rooms are spotless, beds are comfy and the shower was great . What more could you ask for. I read reviews of the hotel before i went which were good but i didn't really think it was going to be as nice as it was . The only thing i think that could be improved is the breakfast which really is pretty awful and really too basic . Maybe some cereal and some fruit would be nice and let people make there own toast , just a suggestion . Despite that i would go back in a heartbeat .
