Zeus Hotel strikes a chord with guests for its excellent service and prime location, with staff members often receiving personal commendations for their warm approach. While some travelers have expressed disappointment in the additional charges for basic amenities such as air conditioning, and a breakfast that fails to impress, the hotel's cleanliness and lively atmosphere receive consistent praise. Although room experiences vary, the modern and stylish options are favored, and the hotel's maintenance of its facilities is well-regarded by its visitors.

No problems with anything . Super friendly ,helpful family . Everywhere clean and tidy , drinks a fair price . Breakfast adequate . Biggest selling point must be just how relaxing the stay is . I am sure to visit again early 2024 to see the people I now regard as friends ! . Super friendly but not intrusive in any way . Do as you please within limits of course . I am mostly wheelchair bound and the help Nicholas gave me was way above the call of duty . Not my usual thing but being a very seasoned traveler I was in the same restaurant every night . Food /service / price / welcome was second to none . I can say it was (Jack's) brothers place . Syrtaki , return there again soon also ,, not been through the whole menu yet . Perhaps share more grappa with the family ?

What can I say. This hotel is an absolute pleasure to visit. It was my 2nd stay and my brothers first. We had booked 2 twin rooms. When we checked in we couldn't be put on the same floor but to our delight the following morning they moved us to a 2 bedroom family room with a lovely view. It made the trip so much nicer as we had a little kitchen area and a lovely balcony. The weather was fantastic for October which was a treat too. The hotel is spotless. Hats off to the amazing cleaners who do a fabulous job. Thanks for your hospitality and I will definitely be returning

Stayed for one week early September, hotel is family run by a very friendly group, all areas are very clean and well maintained. Plus side - lovely pool area with extremely comfortable sunbeds, nice bar area and a lively atmosphere in the evenings - mainly due to the exuberant bar staff :-) Many repeat (and very friendly) guests - who are pretty much all from UK. Only negatives - really low, hard and uncomfortable single beds (this seems to apply to all rooms) and as others have mentioned the breakfast is dire. We loved our stay in Kefalos and the hotel is well situated - close to the beach and many, many fantastic restaurants.

The beach is very close by and there are plenty of restaurants , Greek food is by the far the best food I’ve ever tasted . I would say the hotels is best suited to couples.

Just back from 2 weeks at this hotel. Rooms are basic but clean. You have to pay for WiFi - no idea how much they wanted for it seeing as everywhere else you could get free WiFi. Aircon was 90 Euro for the 2 weeks which I think is expensive. Arrived about midnight on Friday and received a warm welcome. Had a few drinks in the bar and went to bed. Breakfast the next day was incredibly inadequate, not even yoghurt or fresh fruit - we didn't bother with it. You could pay to have more selection of you wanted it. Plotted ourselves by the pool about 8 am. Lots of sun beds already had towels on them, but there were still plenty available. Had a few drinks in the bar mid+morning then popped out to get some lunch. When we returned we were informed that we had to take our towels with us if we left for lunch. Have never had to do that before. Next day we again got to the pool about 8 am. Again, plenty of sun beds already reserved with towels - many of these people not turning up until late morning. We noticed people coming and going around the pool and not one of them took their towels when they left. However when we went for lunch we took ours with us. Next day we got to the pool early and found the same - beds reserved with towels. The beds either side of us had been reserved with towels and were not occupied until 11am and the other at 12. There were 3 empty sun beds in front of us and 2 the other side of the pool. People were coming and going and leaving their towels, so when we went to get some lunch we thought we'd leave them. When we arrived back about an hour later the manager came storming over to us shouting that we had been told not to leave our towels. Tried to explain that no one else was taking their towels but he just kept shouting that we couldn't leave our towels and should pay a deposit if we wanted to reserve them. Said that the bed next to us had been reserved for at least 4 hours and why was he singling us out? He just shouted that no one was allowed to reserve beds. He said that he had received complaints that there were no available sun beds. We pointed out the 3 empty beds in front of us. But he wasn't listening. He was very aggressive. We felt that we were not welcome there We asked the couple next to us if they had ever been told not to reserve the beds and they said they had been coming for last 5 years and had always reserved their beds without a problem. Decided that we were not going to spend another penny of our money there and for the rest of the holiday went to the beach or used the pools in other nearby hotels (which quite frankly were much quieter and had the benefit of free WiFi)

We have recently returned from spending 4 nights at Zeus hotel. We were in Kos for a wedding hence the short stay. We could not have received a warmer welcome from Nicolas despite not arriving until almost midnight. He was so so friendly as were all the staff we encountered, can’t fault their hospitality. Only 15 minutes from the airport it’s in a good location just off main road on Kefalos. We had a deluxe room which was basic but adequate. Shower was very tight and snug but was hot and very powerful which was great. Was noisy in the room until the early hours of the morning due to other people’s doors banging off the main corridor but this didn’t bother me to be honest as I’m not a light sleeper. We had heard the breakfast was not very good so we didn’t try it as we ate out at the abundance of tavernas in Kefalos which were all great, so cannot comment on the quality of the breakfast. The pool was very nice and a lovely refresher from the baking heat. We hired a car so were able to spend our time exploring the whole island, Manolis made the car rental so easy, I personally feel you need a car as harbour and some tavernas are a decent walk from the Zeus although there were some good choices close by. Jim’s supermarket was excellent and cheap and Jim was so friendly. We found all the Greek people to be so friendly everywhere from hotel to airport staff. I can see why many people return to Kos again and again. It’s a very friendly, laid back way of life. Kefalos was very quiet even in peak August which was a shame for the local people who rely on tourism. We really liked it as we don’t mind a chilled, slower pace. The price of our holiday was very expensive at £1200 for 4 nights but I appreciate this is most likely more down to Jet2’s mark up rather than Zeus hotel as I’ve read several reviews where people had said they stayed for 2 weeks for nearly same price. I think the air conditioning should be included in the price and the safe. It wasn’t good value for money having to pay another 28€ for the air con on top of the £1200 we’d already paid for the holiday. We’ve stopped in 5* luxury hotels that have cost less than this per night. Having said that would we stay again? Yes we definitely would as the family that run the hotel were so nice and we did have a great holiday but it would have to be better priced to entice us back. Perhaps it’s better to try and book directly with hotel and book flights separately. If it was £1200 for a fortnight I’d snap their hand off. Don’t let the negative reviews put you off just go with realistic expectations and enjoy beautiful Kos and the very friendly family run Zeus hotel.
