This is by far the worse place I have ever stayed in my life ! I didn’t expect the world and I will admit we do nice holidays, Barbados, Maldives etc. I knew due to the price I wouldn’t be having 5 star luxury, but this was just unacceptable, the owner is just rude, we had to go to a clinic for our COVID test which is at the top of a huge hill, now he sat listening to me book it,at 9.30 am I then asked where to get a taxi to get me to the top of the hill, very very steep, no taxi, then tells me the bus was at 10am , now a little notice that informs you of bus times would be helpful, lots of older people in the Hotel , not a big job. Asked him when the rep came or a contact, no idea he says, she comes when she feels like it, well there was a small notice in the foyer, telling you exactly when she came, didn’t point it out. Last day was classic greed, he saw us 3 times in the morning, didn’t say a word, then found us at the pool, delighted to tell us that we had to pay €25 extra because we weren’t out of the room, not bothered about paying the extra, but purposely didn’t tell us, there is a sign he says, but he has no idea of the sign telling us the reps time, and he lives there😡 it is not clean, lots of hair everywhere not ours, the place is decrepit and ran on an absolute shoestring so the greedy little man makes the maximum. Tony the barman is the only saving grace, how he works for the man is beyond me. May as well hire a hut on the beach!

My Wife and I and our 2-teenage Sons (18 & 15) holidayed at the Kamari Bay Hotel for 10-nights in August 2021. We booked the Holiday at short notice (2-weeks before) through Jet 2 Holidays, paying £330 each for 10-nights bed & breakfast, flights and transfers in the August school summer holiday. We we weren't expecting 5-star, we didn't get it. What we did get was a clean, friendly, well maintained and managed hotel, in a very central location, 5-minutes walk from the beach, shops and restaurants. We booked two twin/double studio rooms, we were given Rooms 212 & 213. These are basic, but cleaned daily (except Sunday), have good air conditioning (extra charge for), and have a fridge. The rooms are Studio type and don't have a kitchen, though we knew this when we booked so it was no problem. These rooms also have a very good side sea view. Breakfast was ok, simple continental type (cereal, toast & egg / jam, ham & cheese & roll, or yoghurt & honey), we had it most days and it was fine for us. The pool was a very good size, always plenty of sunbeds, no towels left at the crack of dawn to reserve a bed (thank God), apart from the last day when 3-mature couples from the South of England arrived and did the dirty deed! The pool side bar served up a wide variety of good quality snacks and drinks at good value. Every evening we retreated to the hotel bar for a nightcap. Tony the barman was a great and knowledgeable host. Yanni the owner was a charming and friendly soul, who always welcomed you with a warm smile. On our last day we weren't flying home till just before midnight, so kept one of the rooms for a small nominal charge. As mentioned at the start of the review, we booked this holiday at a very reasonable price, the Kamari Bay Hotel was great for us and we wouldn't have any hesitation in returning.

Omg we had 2 weeks holiday in this hotel what a dirty place we arrived on a Monday night and come Saturday our room had not been cleaned or clean towels. So I went to see Danny devito as we nicknamed him and asked how often our room got cleaned he said everyday between 10 and 2 I explained that we had been here since Monday and nothing he turned round and said we always sleeping when they came (what for 5 days) he was quite rude and said I needed to go see maid on top floor which I did and finally got sorted but cleanliness is not there best forte shower curtain was mingling hadn't seen a duster in weeks our toilet wouldn't flush towards the end of our holiday I reported it but nothing was done I could go on but you get the picture I would not recommend this hotel At All

Thank you and congratulations to Yannis and all the staff at Kamari Bay for providing an enjoyable and safe holiday under very difficult conditions. Due to the reduction of sunbeds around vthe pool and tables in the restaurant the requirements for social distancing were easily met. All of the staff worked hard to ensure that customers had a good holiday and enjoyed themselves. Maria's meals at the p[ool bar were excellent. Keep up the good work ans see you again next year.

The room was a bigger than I expected. The beds were really cosy and no squeaking from them when you rolled over. Hairdryer, good size television and a fridge (for some reason the fridge had do not use on it) however we requested a medical fridge through Jet2 before arrival and it was handed to us on check in, plenty of storage space and hangers, in fact so much so, for once on holiday I didn't use every nook and cranny to store my things. Wifi was free in reception but I believe you can buy vouchers. Bathroom with shower was average size and the shower always had hot water available and was powerful. Balcony was a decent size with a table and two chairs. Yanni is a lovely guy, I cannot understand some of the previous trip advisor reports. Tony the barman has a great sense of humour (Tony I hope you got to Agios Mammas 8 times today). The drinks at the bar were not any more expensive than around the resort. I have read previous comments about noise at 4am in the morning from the bar area but can honestly say we never experienced that. Previous comments say about door slamming, I can only assume this is when the hall windows are open and people go to their rooms and just push the door closed it will slam (I know this as I did it once). Great size pool and Marie Pool Bar has a wide range of snacks during the day at good prices. Cleaning of rooms was not what you would normally expect but during the current pandemic the cleaning regime is not scheduled as normal. If you need towels or bed linen just ask one of the breakfast ladies. People need to remember they are paying 2* prices and I think some expect 5* service. We had such a great time and would return in a heartbeat.

We stayed at Kamari bay hotel from the 24th of July to the 7th August 2020 , this was our 4th time stopping here and last ! We came last September and put up with the noise as you do but this time I feel I need to write a true account of our stay. First of all we are not people to complain and especially when we are in a pandemic however the way we was treated by the owner over towels and clean sheets was appalling. We had a sheet on the rules of cleaning schedules sheets changed every 4 days towels everyday but you needed to ask. This was not the case! We had sheets on our bed in for 7 days which were ready for a change with the sand and heat , we only asked for towels every 2 days but when we went down to ask the owner he was abusive and shouting saying we was not having none !he couldn’t afford it !! I had to go back to our room and pick dirty sheets off the floor and put them back on. The room was not cleaned throughout our 2 week stay and sometimes we was lucky to get our bin changed. Every time we needed towels it stressed me out cos he would be aggressive! You had a fridge in your room but you could not use it due to Covid ! No this was to save electricity the fridges are small and would take no time to clean. The noise on a night goes on till 3 in the morning , one night a couple in there 50s collapsed outside our room and smashed glasses and just left them !! Me and my husband will not be returning to this hotel, there are plenty of others who treat their guests with respect and give them towels when needed !! !! PLEASE AVOID !!

I know you get what you pay for, however how much more does a smile cost? Just returned from a week in kos staying at this hotel. Compared to other hotels in the area and holiday makers reports we did not have the cockroaches they did- our hotel was very clean. The downsides were surly staff , dreadful breakfast tried on the first morning and never repeated!! Noise from the bar area went on till 4 in the morning !! No thought given to people who had gone to bed , on complaining several times was told people are having fun on their holiday!!😡 Fridges in all rooms were taped up and were unable to be used due to Covid!!?? That’s a new one on me, all other hotels were allowing fridges to be used, in the screaming heat you need the use of a fridge to keep water and some fruit cool/ air con was €7 per day I’ve usually paid between 3-5€ , plus the air con went off in the middle of the night so if you managed to get to sleep due to noise you were woken up due to being too hot!! Not a good scinario. As I say you get what you pay for and it was definitely cheap but Not cheerful
