This is more of a motel than a hotel. There is no bar or restaurant or even a lounge. But if offered quiet rooms and a very good breakfast, if a bit late on the Sunday. Very small street entrance but a larger area out the back with their own car-park which fronts onto a supermarket car-park. I was visiting... More

I came down to see my colleagues and stayed here for one night. The staff I delt with were very friendly and helpful. My first impressions were good nice room and bathroom, very clean and tidy. It was a hot day and the windows hadn't been opened so the room was sweltering and uncomfortable to be in. I went out... More

Efficient staff, room was small but very clean. Extra folding bed for third person was just sort of plonked in between the double bed and wardrobe and we couldn't open the wardrobe doors without climbing over the folding bed and pushing it out of the way. There was one light bulb out in the bathroom plus a dodgy one which... More

Rooms are ok, nothing special. Similar to a standard chain hotel. We had no view out of a window as there was a roof sloping right towards our room. We felt a bit overlooked. Only 1 out of 3 bulbs in our bathroom working. The kettle was full of lime scale - i poured myself a hot water and it... More

This was our third stay here, last time was a few years ago. Although an executive room, it was small compared to Premier Inn. Bathroom looked to have been recently tiled but there was large crack in basin that had obviously been there for a while. Our bed was fine but next door's had a bad creak! Breakfast was a... More

We stayed in room 20. Whilst I cannot comment on the executive rooms, this room was truly awful. There is no soundproofing and conversations could clearly be heard outside and from another room. The furniture is basic and old fashioned. The beds we did not find comfortable and the pillows were cheap foam. The real low point was the unacceptable... More

Just returned from a night here, greeted by a friendly helpful receptionist. Nice room, comfy bed, fab toiletries in the beautiful bathroom.. Top marks for the shower! Breakfast was also lovely served in the sister premises The Kings Arms, which also looked worth a visit for lunch or dinner.

Some reviewers have said the carpets here are hideous and they are right! The carpets are hideous but that didn't detract from the fact that this was a very nice, very comfortable, very quiet and very clean place to stay.
