The pros: If you get a good rate, with all-inclusive, it is a great deal compared to most places in St Lucia. The beach is great, free lounge chairs on the beach (though you have to set yours up), convenient bar near the beach, nice big decks off of all rooms, rooms were clean, air conditioning worked well, water taxi service to Pigeon Island and kayaks/paddleboards to rent next door on the beach. The Sea Grapes restaurant (that is only open some nights) was excellent. Both restaurants have great ocean views. The front desk customer service was friendly, as was the taxi service people there on the property. Cons: It usually felt like the male bartenders and the people working in the main High Tides restaurant were annoyed to have to serve you (there were a few female servers that were great). You rarely received a smile and sometimes it felt like the service was intentionally slow. Even when we tried to be as friendly and appreciative as we could. They played loud regae/hip hop music or painful karaoke most afternoons/evenings, so it's not the place to go if looking for a relaxing peaceful place to stay. Housekeeping never brought additional towels or replacing TP when needed - we had to call for these basics. The food in the high tide was just average, although the bargeque on the beach was great. Location in St. Lucia: Although the beach is great, we found it to be a long ways from most things we wanted to do - which seemed to be closer to Soufriere.…
My family had a blast at the Bay Gardens Beach Resort and Spa for 1 week in late January. The resort is beautiful. The Hi-Tide restaurant is airy, situated perfectly between the beach and the pool and has the most delicious, artfully-presented, healthy, fresh and plentiful meals. The beach is clean and has breath-taking sunsets. The staff members are friendly, attentive and helpful. The Splash Park is tons of fun and a challenge for the whole family. The Spa is relaxing and rejuvenating. The shower water made me hair feel silky and amazing. The towels were very clean and fresh without any chemical residue smell. We would love to go back!
Worst experience ever it was my boyfriend birthday ,some staff don’t ever greet you ,dinner was the worst we got there we waited around almost 2 hours for dinner when it came out they told us everything was done and they just gave us chicken ,rice that’s not we’ll cook with the water on plate and carrot ,I really regret going there
Arrived at 5 pm and didn’t get our room until 10 pm. The resort might be nice but we were not able to enjoy it. We had planned to enjoy the facility the next day but was exhausted from our late night of waiting and waiting for our room. Manager on duty was sub par.
I highly recommend Bay Gardens Beach Resort & Spa. My all-inclusive package was just what I needed to just relax with no worries. The entire staff was genuine and friendly. I appreciated that the most. My room and the view all around the resort was fabulous in any direction. The food at Hi-Tides and Seagrapes was phenomenal!!! Cheers to Chef Paul. Yayyy! I enjoyed the beach and the pool while soaking up the sun on this clean and immaculate property. I look forward to coming back in the future. Daleel
It was a perfect beach day for us on our third time in St Lucia. We would come back and stay at the resort. We didn’t stay so I rated the sleep a 5 but we don’t really know. I would assume that it is good .
We really enjoyed our stay at Bay Gardens. Our room was very clean and had a wonderful view of the pool area and the ocean. The food and drinks were tasty. We LOVED playing at the water park which is right in front of the hotel. Hotel is located at the northern part of the island so a bit far away from the major attractions such as the Pitons, sulphur springs/mud baths.. However, the beach was amazing. It is also very close to Pigeon Island (approximately 5-10 minutes with a water taxi) and the Gros Islet Street party. All in all, we are very fond pf our stay at Bay Gardens in St Lucia. Thanks everyone for giving us such a good time.
Went in this morning at 10am and asked if we could have sandwiches made to takeaway. He didn’t bother to ask what we wanted in the sandwiches, just said we are doing breakfast so no you cant have sandwiches. Isn’t a bacon, sausage or egg sandwich a breakfast!! All I can say is they must be making plenty of money to turn away business, especially as they only had 4 customers sitting in. Definitely won’t visit again if that’s the attitude, wouldn’t have given any stars if that was an option.
Lovely room with beautiful view across the bay. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Beach facilities were excellent, I used the Kyak and Hobie cat alot and David was really brilliant. Best trip to the mud baths was from the beach water taxi hut. Excellent trip with a maximum of 8 people, couldn't have been better.
Excellent resort - very clean everywhere you go on their property, and very well maintained. Staff go out of their way to help and serve you. The Beach is excellent and service at the bar and restaurants were excellent! Highly recommend!
