We had an amazing week. I want to thank the staff at Bay Garden Inn for making our stay so enjoyable. Everyone we met was so friendly and polite. Nothing seemed to be any trouble. We had everything we needed in our room and a nice balcony looking out towards the pool and garden. Breakfast was included which was served each morning at the Hotel. Towels were provided for the pool and beach. It was such a good idea being able to use the facilities and services of the other establishments. (Bay Garden Hotel across the road to the Inn and Resort which is on the beach front) We had the best of two worlds at the Inn. Near to the village with shops, restaurants ex. and the shuttle bus which took us to the Resort and free sun beds on the lovely Reduit Beach. I would certainly recommend the Inn.

We were looking for a budget hotel on the island of St Lucia, and this one from the Virgin Value collection fitted the bill perfectly. I always do a lot of research so it was as I expected.
Esther on reception gave us a warm welcome when we arrived, and was very helpful and friendly throughout our 10 day stay.
The room was very spacious, bright, overlooked the pool as i believe all the rooms do. Plenty of storage for our clothes which I liked so we could unpack properly.
We had 2 welcome meetings on our first day, the first with Leeandy who represents the hotel. She was very warm and friendly and gave us the different hotels schedules and suggested things to do etc.
The second was with the Virgin representative Natacha, who was also very warm, helpful and friendly, it was like sitting down having a natter with a friend.
There is no bar or restaurant on site and nowhere to buy drinks. We knew this beforehand so were forewarned. You have to walk across to the Bay Gardens Hotel, a 2 minute walk, where they have a bar and restaurant. This is also where you will have your breakfast.
Breakfast was good, nice setting overlooking the pool. Huge variety to chose from which varied daily. There’s cereals, fruits, bread, bagels, English muffins, yogurts, cooked breakfasts (items changed daily). They will happily make you an Omelette up fresh, we had these twice and enjoyed them. I also particularly enjoyed the Cheese Scones and Banana cake.
We had a meal at the Bay Garden hotel across the road, unfortunately I really didn’t rate it. There are plenty of places within 5-10 min walk though, so this isn’t a problem.
I liked the pool area as there is no music, so it’s just very quiet and peaceful. The pool isn’t very deep though. Just remember to stock your fridge up with drinks and snacks, unless you don’t mind walking across the road to the Bay Garden hotel. The supermarket is a 3 minute walk and has everything you could possibly need.
The hotel has a shuttle with runs every hour to its sister resorts. We caught it down to the Bay Gardens Beach Resort regularly, as you are allowed to use all there facilities. The beach is lovely, they have a really nice pool too, with a bar and several restaurants too, which we ate at and enjoyed our meals.
Would I go again? Yes I would, the hotel was as I expected. I would prefer it if they made the shuttle bus every 30 minutes, because at peak times not everyone could fit on and had to wait for the shuttle to come back again, if you were first in the queue and couldn’t get on it was annoying. St Lucia is a beautiful island, there are lots of things to do and we didn’t have time to do them all. The people are friendly so I would return.

Breakfast staples include either scrambled or fried eggs with either sausages or bacon…and then everything else was interchangeable/whatever they had in the kitchen that day (could be fish, dumplings, spring rolls, fried chicken wings etc). A few different bread types/rolls and spreads were provided, as well as limited fruit platters - all in all, the breakfast was basic but sufficient.
The room itself was clean but basic; however the AC unit was good! The shower was medium pressure but with constant hot water and toiletries were provided via a dispenser on the wall! If you stay in the Inn (which is next to Bay Gardens Hotel), some mornings require you to cross over/go to the main hotel’s restaurant for breakfast, or sometimes you’ll eat in the function room located in the Inn’s premises (but you’ll only know on the day).
The pool is rather shallow and easy to graze your feet/knees on - I’m only 5’5 and I had to be careful not to hurt myself when I swam too! No jumping in, for definite, as the pool is unmanned/without life attendant too! However, in the morning and in the sunshine, it is seriously the nicest pool area out of all the areas available to you (both in the Bay Gardens Hotel, which has 3 pools, and Bay Gardens Inn, which has 1), so I was glad we booked here.
Walking to all the restaurants, shops and bars in Rodney Bay is easy and within reach of this hotel and they also offer a free shuttle service every hour, to take guests to their main Bay Gardens Resort Hotel on Reduit Beach, where you can access all non-motorised water activities for free! Think paddle boarding/surfing/hobie cat sailing etc.
Really good deal and a pleasant stay, I would recommend this hotel.

+1
I had stayed at The Bay Gardens hotel many years ago, but chose the Inn for this visit as it is quite small but you get to use the facilities of the wider group of hotels. The room was basic but comfortable, but for its size it would have been nice if there was a sofa or armchair as an alternate place to sit.
I loved the fact that we practically had pool to ourselves and it was nice and quiet. For meals and entertainment we had to walk next door to the hotel, but I liked that as it meant our room was quiet in the evenings. The food and service were good. For the breakfast buffet a nice mixed of foods to try plus the basics of scrambled eggs sausage etc. There was a shuttle service to the Bay Gardens Beach Resort, one an hour but it was only a 20 minute walk. More restaurants here, a spa and it was right on the beach. It was great to be based at the Inn, right in the heart of Rodney Bay with plenty of choices to eat out, but able to access what was on offer at the other hotels and the beach.

Words cannot discribe the amazing experience I had at this hotel. They brought new meaning to the phrase "Home away from Home," as the staff of Bay gardens Inn made me forget that you were no longer in my own country. From their warm greetings to their understanding and accomodating measures and especially the Location, made my first time on the Island of St. Lucia one of the best experience i ever had. I look forward to another New Years in Bay Gardens Inn.

This was our first long haul flight since before the start of the pandemic, having travelled extensively around the world. Upon arrival we were treated to an efficient check in and a rum punch:). The room was exactly if not more than we expected for the price we paid. It was a large room, clean, plenty of towels, in a good location and just a few steps away from the pool. It is not a luxury hotel but in fairness it doesn't advertise itself as one. Some days we did have to ask for towels, coffee and toilet rolls but Hey Ho, this is the Caribbean (and exactly what we needed) as soon as we made the call they were always prompt with their response and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. On our first day we asked for more coat hangers and were asked if we could call back later that day and we could pick them up from there.
We completely forgot and when we returned to our room they had been left on the side. The staff behind reception were a delight, my husband mentioned that we were going on a trip and would need clean beach towels in the morning, the reception staff remembered and had clean towels waiting for us! Having the use of all of the Bay Group hotels is a bonus, most days we used the facilities at Bay Garden Resort Inn, sun beds were always available and the guy monitoring was so helpful with a good sense humour.
As I mentioned above everything described about the hotel was exactly what "it said on the tin". If you have higher expectations then you need to book one of the high end hotels but miss out on the "real Caribbean"

Only stayed here for one night on New Years Eve at the end of our trip to St Lucia, but had a great experience. This hotel is part of a resort/chain of hotels in the area, so you benefit from the facilities of the other hotels - including the one on the beach front. We spent a great day on the hotel loungers on the beach and used the waterpark, again included within your stay. Breakfast was a great buffet spread at a neighbouring hotel (2 mins walk). All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Lots of parking available right outside the hotel. Rooms were basic but clean and comfortable beds. Hotel pool and pool area was also clean with pool towels available. Only issue we had was found the shower quite hard to use, the water was either very hot or cold. Would recommend for when staying in Rodney Bay.

My husband and I were booked for two nights here and then extended our stay because we enjoyed it so much. The amenities are great - access to a beach resort with water sports and a poolside bar, a full breakfast in the mornings, a fridge, A/C, water kettle, coffee/tea fixings and microwave in the room, big comfy king bed, easy walking distance to nearby shops/restaurants - all for a very reasonable price. The staff is lovely, as well, and we hope to return in the future!

On arrival, the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The accommodations looked a bit outdated but most importantly it was consistently kept clean and in good condition.
Dining options were limited and entertainment was non existent. I'm not sure if this was due to covid restrictions but I think more variety will add to the property's value. In the end, opted to take the shuttle to the other resorts in the chain which is located nearby to use the pool and go to the beach.
Best breakfast there was the local breakfast and there are one or two cats who visit the restaurants for a snack. I didn't mind and made friends with a them.

Such good value for money ,our room although not huge was well proportioned with a full size under counter fridge. The bathroom and shower appeared to be freshly renovated. The best thing about the hotel was the staff, from restaurant to security nothing was too much trouble and a friendly greeting was always available. The Bay Inn is only 33 rooms with its own pool and breakfast is taken in the sister hotel where the reception is located, it is literally steps away.
Breakfast was very comprehensive hot regional food , full continental and full menu cooked to order . Frequent shuttle to the other sister hotel on the beach but is easily walkable. An excellent location for the supermarket and the restaurants , would recommend this lovely budget hotel.

Apparently not as the hotel are in dispute with Blue Bay travel. You can pay extra through bluebay to upgrade to this though
No, the Bay Gardens Inn is not on the beach, but there is a free shuttle which runs regularly between the 4 properties and can take you to the Bay Gardens Resorts which is one of the properties, and is on the beach.
I have stayed there too in the past, and it is very nice.
As far as I know, the Inn does not have any room suites, but the Bay Gardens Hotel just across the road from the Inn has. Again, I have stayed there too in the past, and had a room like what you are enquiring for.
I stayed in the Croten suites building, room 315 which has what you are asking for. It has a bedroom,Living room, and a kitchen.
Hope these answers help.
Brian.
