I had booked to stay here from Christmas Eve until Boxing Day but we left on Christmas Day because the condition of the hotel was so poor and the staff rude and unhelpful. Our first room smelled so strongly of damp we had to move rooms, our second room had ripped bed sheets, smelled of damp and was full of mosquitoes. Spiders nests in the bathroom 'window' and insect nests between the curtain folds. The food was not good and expensive for Vietnam. The complimentary breakfast was very sad. The reception staff was very rude and when we were leaving a day early made no attempt to rectify the situation and in fact tried to get me to pay for the room a second time despite the money already coming out of my account. There is no pool and no spa. No daily housekeeping. No activities or rentals on site. It's like a ghost town. The hotel seems to have fallen into disrepair and little effort is being made to rectify this. …
Food took ages to be ready and was bland and my fresh noodles were far from fresh. Staff couldn’t understand anything and were not motivated at all. For those prices I’d expect more! A real disappointment and compared to the cheap eateries the worst food we had.
After a long day in the park, we decided to treat ourselves with some nice lunch... we ordered the pork ribs for two plus some noodles. The ribs are with 275.000 Dong quite expensive but we thought as long as it is good we are fine with paying a little bit more. Out of the kitchen came a tiny platter with 3 pork ribs and some sliced tomato and cucumber. The taste was ok but by far not enough for even one person!!! We checked with the waitress if this portion really was for two people, and she confirmed. We asked her to send for someone in charge, so the receptionist came to us. He then gave us a discount on the meal (still charged us 206d) and said he would ask the kitchen if there had been a problem. When we paid we asked him what the kitchen staff had said He replied that normally there are 6 ribs on the plate, but for some reason the kitchen was only able to cut three... I have to say that this has been a truly disappointing experience and I definitely do not recommend going there…
We visited the bar and restaurant only. That morning the desk frontman insisted reservations (and orders and down payment upfront) should be made as the restaurant would be full with guests that evening. So we did... Halfway our bar-drinks we were summoned to a our table where all food was already served starting to cool off. Firmly priced mediocre quality food. Hardly any other guests at that time. After having settled the bill our frontman suggested we take up some extra cash with our visa elsewhere. After refusing he walked away clearly irritated. You wonder whether management is aware of all this. An uncomfortable feeling, so far not experienced elsewhere. In all, a place better to be avoided with so many friendly and attentive alternatives in the area.
Please be aware that there is a massive lack of quality in the service as well as in the food and beverages. We made a reservation because the management told us it was going to be chock a block (5 tables were filled in the end) and had to order our dinner during the afternoon. Once all of us ordered their drinks on arrival at the lounge area, and received mediocre quality in combination with beverages not made with love what so ever, we were rudely told to go upstairs because our dishes were already served and were waiting for us. We then sat down around the dinner table and noticed that our dishes were not warm anymore. We as a family talked about the obstacles we faced with the uncommunicative staff during that evening and slowly started to understand that it was probably their lack of training. After having settled the bill, the man at the front desk suggested we take up cash money with our visa card through the help of one of his friends outside the hotel. When we declined his peculiar offer, he then gave us the cold shoulder and couldn't even say goodbye. All in all, an unwelcome and expensive experience to celebrate the 1st of January. …
