Le Méridien Al Aqah Beach Resort is lauded for its exceptional service, with staff members earning accolades for their attentiveness and the overall caring atmosphere. While some amenities incur additional charges, the dine-around package is often seen as a worthwhile investment. The resort's array of amenities, including a praised spa and beach access, is popular despite calls for some refurbishment. Nestled in a superb location ideal for family getaways, the hotel offers an appealing atmosphere with clean, spacious rooms that boast scenic views, although the decor may feel a bit outdated to some. The hotel's commitment to cleanliness, from the rooms to the facilities, is consistently highlighted by guests.

We booked an AI package through Virgin Holidays at relatively short notice. Having read many reviews here, we opted for the standard AI package. Please correct me if there are more than 2 different packages. At first glance, eating in Sapore ( Italian ) or Taste ( Thai / Indian ) off the al la carte menu appeared confusing. However it was easy to understand - there are small supplements in RED on the menu on some items when on AI. We stuck to the none supplement items and had a reasonable choice. We found Taste to be excellent. Sapore is also open for lunch and nice to be able to sit outside. Not sure of the value in upgrading to Dine Around as Gonu, the only restaurant not in the basic package, wasn't open every evening. Drinks selection was good and the wine very good. We had a leaflet at check in explaining the inclusions. In addition all soft drinks were included , even iced coffees. Evening drinks venues were limited to the Beach Bar and Astro's on the 20th floor - check the times for AI alcohol as I see on one website that it's very limited. We drank there until about 11 with no charge. The buffet restaurant I would describe as good - we have had much better selection elsewhere in the UAE.
Rooms: please make them aware if you require a non smoking room. I was rather shocked to be allocated one and consequently refused it.
The sun loungers were of good quality and plentiful. However, there were some people who constantly bagged favourite locations at the crack of dawn and didn't appear until much later plus those with both beach and pool locations.
Tourist tax: we were told at check out that this is not levied in Fujairah.
The hotel makes a good effort to provide some entertainment. Live music in the afternoon was very pleasant.
Overall, we had a very nice stay. I would both recommend and revisit depending on price compared with another favourite location.

The classic room with ocean view was cozy , big and so clean with an amazing view
All the staff starting from (Bein) in the reception was so welcoming , cheerful and friendly let us feel that we are the most welcomed person
The restaurant staff during the dinner and breakfast was so helpful and cooperative so even there was some restrictions (not annoying) due to covid19 situation , but they tried as much as they could to make sure that we are satisifed specially (Eman) from views restaurant.
The pool was so wide and water temprature was cool , even it was a weekend stay but the pool wasn't crowded at all.
The things which we didn't like was the dinner buffet variety in the (Views restaurant) was so limited to the indian cuisine with very rare other optiones from other cuisines and arabic cuisine was missing at all.
The dinner should be pre booked and the seafood restaurant was fully booked so we didn't get the chance to try it.
The beach there is not good to swim if you are a beqch lover.
The hotel is highly recommended and definitly will come back again

We stayed here about six years ago during a holiday where we visited Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah. This was our final stop and our favourite place so we promised ourselves we'd return one day. This time around, the hotel was far busier with lots of families, possibly due to the slightly cooler temperatures in February as opposed to September when we stayed there previously. Good for business but for us, this meant there was less of an exclusive feel. The hotel is still well maintained but perhaps in need of a little TLC here and there.

For us, the best things about the hotel are the friendly and helpful staff, particularly at the beach bar and in Astro although we had no complaints about any of the restaurants, We opted for the Dine Around package at check in as we're not huge fans of buffets and had dinner at Taste, Sapore, Gonu, lunch at the beach bar and Views for breakfast. The Dine Around option cost almost £100 per night extra which allowed us the freedom to choose where we ate and to enjoy a greater selection of drinks including draft beer and prosecco. We were also entitled to use the mini bar although we only consumed a few soft drinks - beer is also included. We were originally given a price for our full 6 nights however given it was 11.30pm by the time we had checked in and we pointed out that we would only be heading up to the bar for a few drinks (all restaurants were closed but we didn't want to eat at that time anyway), the price for Dine Around was revised for 5 nights which we felt was only fair and appreciated this consideration. Food and service in each restaurant was excellent and we experienced no problems in making dinner resevations, even when we wanted to swap 2 reservations around when the weather was too chilly / windy for eating at Gonu.

Superior rooms are huge with large bathrooms, walk in wardrobe, seating area and balcony overlooking the pool and sea and with all the usual amenties you'd expect from a hotel of this standard - mini bar, safe, hairdyer, tv etc.

The hotel is right on the beach and you can walk in either direction for quite a way. The pool area is huge with a roped off shallow end for younger children and the lifeguards are actively on duty all day. Gardens are well maintained and there's also volleyball, badminton, darts, table tennis, kids club, a few shops and spa. Wifi is good and we experienced no problems with connection during our stay. There's also shuttle services to Dubai and Fujairah although we didn't use these during our visit.

We were disappointed that the mini golf was closed and in a state of disrepair but in the grand scheme of things, only a minor gripe. We did however enjoy free private transfers both from and back to the airport which was a bonus.

All in all we enjoyed our second visit. The hotel is well worth the drive from Dubai if you;re looking to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy excellent food and great service.

i was worried on how to keep the social distancing in the hotel and was not planning to let the kids swim at the pool, however, i found the hotel did an excellent choice by operating half of it only and ensuring that all rented rooms are sanitized and closed for 24 hours, it definitely made their life harder, but it was surely more reliable and made us feel safe.
the beach is great and there was not any over crowding, totaly enjoyed our time.

Also having the option of Breakfast at the room as part of your normal BB is great and saves a lot of time and makes you feel safer.

Very well done and Thank you Mr Diaa for your welcome and hospitality, we will surely come again soon

We stopped at Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort for 8 nights at the beginning of February. I can honestly say that from initial check in to check out this hotel surpassed all expectations. The room & it’s facilities was more than adequate & spotlessly clean. The grounds & swimming pool very well kept & again spotless. The View Restaurant, which was self service, has an amazing choice of food. The waiting staff ensured that the tables were kept clear & the Chefs were constantly replacing food, ensuring that nothing ever ran out. A special thanks to Taste Thai/Indian restaurant, where we ate most evenings. Every Waiter/Waitress were so friendly, they made eating there more than just a normal “meal in a restaurant “, it was a true experience. A mention to the Taste chef as well, he is very talented & the meals were prepared exactly how we ordered. The staff that worked at the Pool & Beach bars were also very friendly & attentive. Reception staff were also friendly & helpful. All in all this was one of the best holiday experiences that we’ve ever had & will definitely be returning, soon hopefully, rather than later. I would recommend Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort to anyone.

We had the most amazing experience with the Le Meridian Al Aqah. The hospitality of this hotel is amazing. Every staff member is always so willing to help and ensure that your stay is comfortable and pleasant. From the manager Sreekanth, the chef Sharafat, the room delivery staff, the housekeeping , the poolside staff, Pradeep and Hani at the Boom Diving and water sports , all restaurant staff we want to thank you for making our stay so memorable. We highly recommend the hotel for families with kids, they are taking so many precautions to make sure that the guests and staff at the hotel remain safe. You can see the extra efforts of sanitizing everything possible from towel cards, Sun beds, tables etc before a guest has to use it. Thank you for making our holiday a relaxing one!

We had an amazing two weeks thanks to the dedicated staff at Al Aqah, who responded to whatever we needed speedily and cheerfully. Kaliraj kept our room spotless and went out of his way to check if we needed additional supplies of towels, soaps etc. He decorated our room beautifully for Valentines Day, what a lovely surprise! We used Views for all meals, where we were very well looked after by the team of Eman, David, Mai, Venesia, Nelson. Nothing was too much trouble, they made a huge fuss of us on our final evening and we felt like celebrities! At the pool, Ayo and Mohammed were outstanding, remembered our preferences from the off despite the sheer number of customers they were catering for. Great place but these guys really made the holiday for us. Other hotels could learn a lot from the staff at Al Aqah.

We recently stayed at this hotel for one night at the end of August, and we wish we had stayed longer! We were already planning our next trip back whilst staying there.
Lovely big clean rooms and the rooms have a stunning view of the ocean. We were on the 2nd floor so I can imagine the views higher up are even better.
The hotel also did very well with their COVID-19 precautions. A special mention must be given to the buffet restaurant which we had both dinner and breakfast at. They have done a fantastic job with screens in front of the food so there is no risk of contamination.
The swimming pools are huge and the beach front is
spectacular with views of the horizon and Snoopy Island. The restaurant on the beach is also a must visit while staying at the resort. Perfect for sundowners! It’s just a pity the little mini golf area has not been maintained next to the restaurant, hopefully the hotel will neaten that up soon. Other than that the hotel grounds are beautiful and it was lovely to be surrounded by so much greenery.

Thank you for the wonderful stay! We will be back soon!

It’s a wonderful place, great rooms with balcony, nice pool and beach. We stayed in the club floor, too bad the lounge is not operational, they used their restaurants for breakfast, cocktails etc instead. Great place for friends and families with kids. Activities are all over the place like table tennis, chess, volleyball and more. Quality of food is really good in general. Gonu grill serves fresh seafood while you hear the waves by the shore and Sapore is Italian, fantastic pasta and pizza! I’d like to thank Kaye and Lu from Gonu, Venesia from Sapore, Vamshi from the lounge, and the tall Egyptian guy from Sawaad for all doing a good job. 👏🏻 Ofcourse, Shubi from the security department (my bro lost his phone, long story!) but yeah they found it! She’s the best! 💪🏻
One thing, we needed to wait for our rooms even it’s past 3pm, the front desk was a disaster when we arrived. It’s a small reception we can hear everything, they even give rooms to people who literally arrived after us, plus giving away late check out until 1pm! 1 hour of delay greatly affects housekeeping and whole operations, thus explains delayed check ins. We even asked for a manager yet nobody bothered. Still I’d rate it 5, it’s sure they are all trying. ✌🏻

We stayed there in 2007 and 2009. During our latest break (October 2021) we noticed some positive developments. The rooms have been attractively renovated to the Meridien's brand standards. The F&B is very good in terms of quality and choice - special thanks to the Sous Chef, Mr Uday who was always ready to prepare special dishes when requested. Cleanliness standards are high (however it would be nice if the housekeeping managed to clean rooms before 2pm). One bit of advice for the breakfast buffet: it would be great if it offered almond, coconut and oat milk.

What I like about this place most is the resort buzz. Unlike the neighbouring properties, Meridien Al Aqah features nice grounds with elaborate lush landscaping. Beach cabanas are well maintained and are spaced to offer enough privacy (unlike the three resorts nearby where beachgoers feel like sardines). The beach features mature palm trees - one can’t stop thinking of Thailand. The pool is large and offers enough space for all guests. During our stay the hotel enjoyed 85% occupancy yet we didn’t feel the place to be overcrowded. There are great activities for kids of all ages. Two pool bars ensure waiting for your drinks won’t take ages.

Al Aqah remains one of my favourite resorts in the UAE thanks to its character of a classic, relaxed tropical resort. Meridien Al Aqah is a green oasis we’ll defifinitely visit again.

Restaurants are not closed during Ramadan. There is no transfer from Dubai Airport to le meridien al Aqah if you have a stand alone booking. Unless you are part of a group with a package booking including such transfer, there is no shuttle from airport to thr hotel at al Alaqh
