Intercontinental is the best resort in Fujeirah. We have been doing regular staycations for the past 3 years and it never disappoints. We have tried other places in Fujeirah and Intercontinental is by far the best stay.
The overall design and architecture is modern, stylish and very comfortable.
Rooms are spacious, clean and well designed. We are a family of 4 and recommend the suite, which have a spacious bedroom and very nice living room.
There are 2 restaurants, one buffet and another seafood. Both serve good food but we feel having a 3rd restaurant it would be good to have more dinning options.
There's one bar, serving small bites and great to chill out over a drink.
There are 3 pools, the beautiful infinity facing the beach, adults pool only great to relax without kids and the family pool.
The kids club is a must for our kids entertainment, everyday they have spend a couple of hours with plenty of activities.
The staff is very welcoming and friendly, special kudos to Michael on the infinitinty pool, he really makes your time to be the best possible.

Modern, contemporary resort along side the Al Aqah coastline. Rooms are large and spacious. We were allocated a room on fourth floor with the balcony doors opening to a spectacular scenic se view of the beach! Thanks to front desk staff Tamilla, she gave us a room upon arrival (we reached there just before noon) and also offered us a twin bed (we are a couple with one special needs child), each bed queen size, really big, almost as big as those twin beds in US motels! It was really comfortable and spacious. The pool is a great place to unwind and chill. They have those pool beds which are cozy and needs to be booked in advance. Breakfast at Nama restaurant was as usual sumptuous but served at the buffet counters due to the pandemic unlike last time when I had breakfast with my biker colleagues, it was free without those glass shields! No valet parking as well but self parking was so easy. We went out for dinner at the nearby seafood restaurant Estacoza (a must visit if you are in this area). Front desk staff Mark was also extremely friendly and helpful. It was certainly a memorable staycation!

Just spent 2 nights for Eid. We had a lovely spacious room with a really large balcony, with gorgeous views of the beach and pool. Lovely large grounds for kids to kick a ball in etc. Beach and pool both open ( kids club too) and all staff are wearing gloves and masks and taking really good care to keep social distancing and oversee that the pool does not get too crowded. Food and alcohol beverage can be bought in the restaurant and by the pool but do book for the restaurant as they can only accommodate so many people at a time. If you want breakfast you can have it in the restaurant or to your roorm. No buffets. All ordered from your table and the staff were all amazing keeping everything clean and wearing gloves and masks and all did it while smiling. I couldn’t see the smile because of the mask but you can see a smile in someone’s eyes. Rooms are given a rest for 24 hours after a guest has stayed. I am stating that in case anyone is worried about the virus. We had a great time after being in lockdown for the past 10 weeks so for us it was fantastic and really relaxing. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel.

The positive from our stay was the rooms were clean and spacious. That, unfortunately, is about it.
Service was poor all round, food quality was average and overall value for money compared to other deals around was not great.
The biggest concern, however, was around health and safety standards. There is a lot of information and self-publication (and congratulation) about the steps being taken to ensure the safety of guests around Covid 19 but in practice there were significant risks all-round the hotel:
The restaurant was very busy for dinner and breakfast with no means of effective social distancing. Having a booking system to create “blocks” would make things a lot more controlled. Pools (2 open) were extremely full and well beyond expectations Pool loungers, and especially those on the beach, were not cleaned during the day and even overnight loungers had clearly not been properly cleaned Cleaning standards were haphazard – there are cleaners around spraying something on a surface and then immediately wiping it off. No effective cleaning product works this way!
I’m sure there is an effective Covid Control Policy in place from IHG, but it is not being effectively implemented at this hotel.
Beyond controls around Covid 19 it seems that general health and safety standards have been ignored. A raised drainage grate in the pool resulted in numerous observed injuries each day. Room doors slam shut without any door damping meaning fingers (especially for children) are very much at risk.
Being a loyal IHG customer for many years most expectations were not met at this hotel and there are certainly better options around for a Fujeirah stay.
I may have passed all of this information on at check-out if I was simply asked “how was your stay” but that didn’t happen either!

We decided to take a 2 nights staycation here. The property is well spread out. Check in was as smooth as can be in these sensitive times. The afternoon we checked in a musician was playing and it was amazing, wish they called him for live music over dinner.
The property is a beach property with the mountains in the back and you can see snoopy island from the balcony. Ask for a room on left side of the hotel as the right most rooms are too close to the mountains and the see view is not seamless. We got one such room and on request they promptly moved us to a lovely room on the left wing but please note it’s a bit of walk to the elevator. Love the amount of greenery they have around the property.
The room was spacious and you could keep the sliding door open and enjoy a soak in bath tub while enjoying sea view. The small balcony with seating looked nice for nice cup of morning coffee but probably not in summer. Loved the chaise lounge for catching up on my reading and taking intermittent glances at the sea.
Only 1 swimming pool was open so it was a bit crammed and we quickly gave up the pool idea. The beach is great for swimming and playing as it’s shallow for quite a distance. Only negative I felt was in summer 6 pm was way too soon to close pool and beach.
The beachside bar has comfortable seating with great view, the cocktail was good but the mocktail I ordered was terrible it was just a small bucket of ice cubes with some lemongrass!!
We had some diet restrictions as we are vegetarians and we did write to them in advance. Indrajeeth the F& B manager met us and put us in touch with Krishna the chef there who specially catered to our special diet needs. The breakfast both mornings was a feast, honestly I was overwhelmed with the efforts Krishna put for us. He even made sushi platter for us which was to die for. Thank you Krishna. All the staff, especially at the restaurant were quick and helpful and the hostess addressed us by name which was a great personal touch.
Though I had some business stay at holiday inn this was my first stay at intercontinental and I am floored. I look forward to staying at their other properties.

A really lovely resort. From check in, all the staff were lovely. Hotel gave us a lovely upgrade to a suite.
Club lounge staff were all lovely. They have a lovely area for kids called the Infinity Lounge so they can enjoy club benefits without disturbing other guests. This came in handy as my kids are loud! The Club Lounge served food for the kids for dinner which was handy.
In terms of Club lounges, I felt it was poorer in terms of offerings. I feel they could have offered a light lunch like other hotels in the UAE. I would have also preferred self service for drinks and afternoon as well as evening canapés. The evening canapés were freshly made and very small. We felt greedy asking for more and I feel self service is better as you can take what you want. This is what they offer at the Ritz Carlton, Rosewood etc, so in future I would recommend they offer maybe 3-5 hot dishes in the evening on a self service basis. I also think introduce a small lunch and give the option to get your own drinks too. Overall lounge staff were amazing but offerings were very small compared to the other hotels we stayed at.
The staff were all very nice across the hotel. Met a lovely staff member in customer relations called JD who was a real pleasure. Always happy to help and always with a big smile on his face.
Kids club was by far the best thing of the hotel. Staff members their was out of this world. Thank you to Irin, Harshi, Joanna and Elenita. They looked after my kids with so much love and affection. Such an amazing and massive kids club. Fun planned activities and one of the best kids clubs we experienced.

It was a great staycation after long time staying home. We have chosen Intercontinental Fujairah as we have visited this hotel many times and enjoyed the property a lot. Intercontinental Fujairah has beautiful spacious rooms fully equipped with all facilities needed: you will find everything necessary from slippers to shaving kit in room amenities. Bed and pillows are very comfy and let you get rested well. All rooms we stayed in had amazing sea view and spacious terrace. Beach is very good for swimming: soft sand without rocks, swimming pool is big with clean, comfortable temperature water. I can surely say that Intercontinental is a right place for relaxing and great staycation. But during vague situation all world facing now, I would like to emphasize and to express gratitude to all staff of the hotel for putting great affords despite new circumstances to make stay of the guest comfortable and enjoyable. Our check in was smooth and quick, receptionist provided us with all necessary information regarding changes in the service. Housekeeping department was quick to respond to any request and happy to assist. Special word restaurant staff deserves as it is big pressure on F&B department due to inability to keep buffet (specially breakfast) Service in the restaurant was prompt and accurate. All waiters were very attentive and polite. Special thanks to hostess (unfortunately forgot her name) who was very professional trying to allocate guests to the same table whenever they visit restaurant for dinner or breakfast. Only great Intercontinental's buffet was missing at that time, specially during breakfast ( but decision to stop buffet service is not up to the hotel and hopefully it will be back soon and guests enjoy it as before. It was nice to see mr. Waleed and mr.Nadim who was always around supporting and helping staff and interacting guest making sure of their satisfaction and comfort. One word for all personel of the hotel - Keep it up and thank you for going above and beyond to do the best under quite difficult circumstances.

After our last overseas trip to New York in December 2019, the world changed. And we went from being obsessive, prolific travelers, to spending the next 450 nights in the safety of our own beds. Until we decided to venture out again and chose this resort for a staycation in the spring break. We could not have made a better choice as our first pandemic mini holiday. The resort is one of the newer ones on the Al Aqah stretch and because of that it’s bright and luxurious, not dated like some other properties. There’s a feeling of space and light everywhere, bright blue swimming pools, fountains and of course the turquoise sea against a backdrop of pristine white buildings. Manicured lawns stand surrounded by a splash of red from the many desert rose bushes in the avenues. Every five star amenity is a available in the room, from slippers and bathrobes to l’occitane bath stuff. Also available on request are nespresso machines which now are not standard in the rooms like they used to be (because of risk of contamination) but immediately available on request. The most amazing part of this stay was the service from just about everyone at the resort. Jazmin at the front desk and Chef Indrasis were the two standouts who really take customer service to the next level, but almost everyone else went out of their way to make us feel very welcome and special. We ate our breakfast at Nama, which was a huge buffet spread with a lot of variety. The only change was that now we were served by the chefs at each counter instead of helping ourselves, again because of covid precautions. We had most of our other meals at Drift, the a la carte restaurant and here too the staff and chefs were lovely. What amazes me is that the hotel was at full occupancy, and yet we experienced no delays, no mix ups in any orders, absolutely faultless service. This is so hard to achieve and it’s a credit to the management and staff that they provided such excellent service when they were so busy. There was required social distancing everywhere, most guests adhered to masking norms and the resort didn’t feel crowded. Overall we felt quite safe during these times. We loved it so much that we plan to be back quite soon for another short break. Thank you to everyone at the Intercontinental Fujairah for making our first pandemic holiday a brilliant one!

We drove down from Abu Dhabi for a short staycation. The hotel is set on gorgeous grounds and we had such a great time.
Health and safety measures were being followed closely so that made us feel comfortable. As soon as you get out of each lift there is hand sanitizer. At the pool stations and in front of each restaurant there are masks, gloves and sanitizer for people to use so that's very reassuring. Staff at the restaurant just need to ensure that everyone is wearing their masks at all times when up choosing buffet options. The staff in the restaurant were so lovely and friendly and went out of their way if needed. They remembered our daughters names and would always use them upon arrival. My husband and I commented on a few occasions how much we appreciated how nice the staff in the restaurant were.
We alternated on our days between both swimming pools and liked them. I would say access to drinks/food at the family pool is a little harder as the restaurant is based near the main pool so the hotel should make sure there is always someone around or stationed at that pool for orders.
We enjoyed the food at the hotel, we were on an all inclusive package. However there needs to be a little more variety for my husband who is a pescetarian, the fish options were not as expansive. However bonus points on one of the mornings the hotel had pork bacon and sausages. Maybe also the addition of cocktails to the AI option.
Overall we had a great time and would definitely return. It's pricey but you get what you pay for.

We have booked to stay the last week of August 2020 for a family staycation . Booked 4 nights half board. Amazing location and weather. The hotel staff were all complying with safety measures and all the guests were wearing masks and also makes and gel were available everywhere. The staff were very attentive, helpful and friendly. I would like to thank Florelle and Jomal From reception for making our checkin process smooth and quick. Even though one of our rooms was handed over to us 3 hours late due to the long process of sanitization , we received a beautiful clean room and received a free lunch voucher to be used any day.
The rooms were spacious and we booked deluxe ocean view rooms and the view was amazing. Rooms were cleaned throughly everyday. I guess due to the COVID situation the rooms were equipped with the bare minimum of the necessary amenities. But ask for anything and they will deliver.
As for the Food ... At Nama restaurant, the Buffet was assisted buffet. The variety was better than I imagined . The food was tasty and never disappointed. I woul like to thank chefs Krishna and Marawan along with Rose , Gareth , Joylene and Joressa from the restaurant service team. Very attentive and friendly.
The beach at this time was high but we managed to have fun nevertheless. The pools were clean and of cool temperature and life guards were always present. Cold water bottles were available on both pool and beach areas.
I totally recommend this resort To anyone who wants to be pampered and just get away from the busy and hot weather in Dubai. Will definitely come back .

"There isn't much shopping or food outside the hotel and nearby at all. If you do want to shop or dine outside, having a car is a must. The valet really helps here."
There are more places to choose from in the Al Aqah area.
