Located in Cervães, in the heart of Minho, the Torre de Gomariz Wine and Spa Hotel is set in a verdant landscape, defined by the vineyard and a leafy forest of five hectares with numerous secular trees. The hotel integrates one of the most emblematic historic buildings of Vila Verde, the Tower and Casa de Gomariz, which together with the other modern buildings offer a unique connection between history, nature and design, giving it a touch of sophistication where the classic and the contemporary blend in an exceptional way. In a modern wing are the remaining 10 suites (Camelia suites) and 12 rooms, which have an interior design that provides an environment of comfort and sophistication. This wing is located next to the Spa, Pool and Wine Bar building. The architecture is the responsibility of the architects Paulo Braga and Cristina Amaral. The award-winning Atelier Nini Andrade e Silva was responsible for the interior design of the hotel.

Wow! We stayed here for a week after a couple of day’s in a very busy Porto. Such a beautiful and peaceful location, if you’re looking for tranquility look no further.

Facilities are to a very high standard with fabulous, incredibly spacious rooms and bathrooms. Rooms with views over the pool and vineyard and a shaded terrace to enjoy. Beautifully landscaped grounds, wonderful breakfast, extremely professional and accommodating staff. The house wine is wonderful, I looked forward to coffee on the terrace each morning after breakfast, and there is a spa if you want to indulge in a treatment.

The hotel is located in a very quiet spot and you will need a car if you want to explore the local area and other eating options which are a drive away, although the hotel Restaurent is superb it’s fairly expensive and if staying for more than a couple of days you are likely to want other options for the variety.

We loved our stay here and highly recommend.

We spent three nights at Torre de Gomariz for some rest and relaxation after hiking a portion of the Camino Portuguese, and it was a great choice. Room was very spacious with a nice patio and huge bathroom. Enjoyed a view of the pool and the vineyards in the distance. Bed was very comfortable and it was nice having A/C for our stay. Only complaint about the room was a weird door at the back of the walk in closet that wasn't soundproofed, so often you could hear your neighbors or people walking by.

Didn't want to take the car out so we ate all our meals at the property. Breakfast was excellent with both a cold buffet and choice of hot entrees - really enjoyed the pancakes with Nutella. Dinner was on the second floor of the Tower, with a good mix of Portuguese and other offerings. Servings were pretty huge, so we left full every night. It did get loud one evening as there was a tour group taking up most of the restaurant, but fortunately they went to bed earlier than us so it calmed down by dessert. Also did a wine tasting one afternoon, fun to try the various wines and really enjoyed the slight carbonization they use in the white wines. Very surprised when they gifted us with three bottles upon check-out from the hotel, and they came in handy as we were not a huge fan of the wines in Douro or Braga.

The spa and pool area are a great offering, especially on rainy days when the outdoor pool isn't possible. We used the steam room and sauna every day of our stay, highly recommend reserving a visit. I also got an excellent massage on the last day of our stay as I was still a bit sore from hiking.

Only other issue with our stay was an ill-timed fire alarm at 1:30 in the morning, which took a little time to shut off as most of the staff was still working a wedding. Didn't have a problem falling back to sleep, and the staff nicely gave up 15% off our spending for the inconvenience. Wasn't expecting that, and it was much appreciated. Would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in Portugal again.

Great space to enjoy with the family. Quality installations with an interesting design and very attentive staff. Well staffed, they offered professional and personalized service, they knew what we needed from the start, offering services without being pushy, you will always find some to help. -> something we could learn from in most Spanish Hotels.
The place is only 15 min from Braga and about another 15 from Guimaraes, both great places to visit in Portugal.
But most of the time we choose to enjoy the hotel restaurant, bar, summing pool, wine selection King size bed, etc.
Will definitely come back.

Beautifully restored property with a real sense of local history. We felt comfortable and relaxed very quickly. The hotel is well situated for touring the area, visiting Braga, Guimarães etc.

Recommend the Camelia Suites for space and comfort.

We very much enjoyed the food and wine - congrats to the team who prepare and serve - all top and very knowledgable and helpful.

The spa and treatments are lovely too. It would be nice to add a little gym to the property 😊

All of the team were kind, helpful and professional. Great short break -thank you 👍

We spent two nights in this paradise.
It is a kind of small castle in a beautiful vineyards property.
The room was incredibly romantic with an amazing view.
The spa is located just in the vineyards with also this amazing view.
Service and massages were just perfect.
We had also dinner in the hotel restaurant: a great choice of modern Portuguese kitchen with tasty local wines.
Great people in the restaurant also !
We enjoyed the tasty breakfast on the terrace
Great memories there !

Beautiful rooms in a peaceful and charming setting. You can enjoy the swimming pool, play tennis, ride a bike or simply walk in the vineyard. The breakfast is delicious. A truly charming and relaxing place ( restaurant good but pricy and serving very small portions).

A beautiful setting for a hotel. The grounds are gorgeous. The rooms are very modern and clean with a bath and shower. Bed lwas very comfortable. There is a wonderful infinity pool that is heated. Also I visited the spa which had a lovely jacuzzi, steam room and sauna and heated indoor pool. We dined in the restaurant and the menu was diverse and the food was excellent. The staff are exceptionally friendly in this resort and they could not have been more helpful. It was my birthday during the trip and on checkout they gifted me some wine which was so generous. I very much appreciated this gesture. I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. . We will definitely return.
