We stayed at Bongani for two nights. The place was very hard to reach, we first drove wrong due to our navigation system. Although there was a sign of the lodge on the dirt road in the middle of a very poor township like neighborhood the reception couldn't tell us where we are and let us drive back to the... More

An amazing drive up and down the mountain - fun at first though it did get a little tedious after a week! Room was fantastic - huge bath in the bedroom - used once on a very cold night. Otherwise the shower was good. Huge bed also - I think it may have been two queen sized ones pushed together.... More

Our last stop on our safari trip to SA. To begin with there is a fairly hazardous trip up the mountain - and that was after a lengthy and bone shaking ride along the road through the township. The first view of the lodge is impressive and the setting is certainly breath taking. Unfortunately our reception was pretty chaotic, not... More

We have just returned from spending 10 nights at this wonderful reserve! Everything was perfect for me! We were very lucky to have seen lions for several days as well as the heaps of other animals! Food, yum! Just yum! The staff were just fabulous, and the personal touches, made leaving just that little harder! In Particular Patrick and Robson... More

The place is great and the service they provide is even better. The buffet spread has good food and the staff is friendly and helpful. What does not sit well, is the ride to this place. It's a 30/40 minute off road uphill climb in a safari jeep since it's a private reserve and no other cars are permitted. A... More

Dear Ratsingh Thank you for staying at Bongani Mountain Lodge and for taking the time to review your stay, I will definitely pass your great comments onto our staff but as for the game sightings, it is difficult for any Safari Lodge to guarantee wildlife sightings, but on the whole as most reviews would confirm we have really good sightings.... We stayed at bongani just one night. It was quite a journey to get there - 7km of rough road that passes in between what seems to be a township of some sort. Once you get to the gate, a ranger picks you up and through a 30 min drive takes you up to the lodge. The premises are well... More

Was very pleased by the surrondings and I felt indeed like in the middle of the bush. I did enjoy very much both the accomodation and game drives with very experienced and best ranger - a short lady (forgot her name) specialised in snakes and crocodiles ;-) regards to her
