I highly RECOMMEND this ESA Hotel if you want a great LOCATION, SERVICE & VALUE in Atlanta! LOCATION - Next to MARTA's Brookhaven/Oglethorpe train station with direct service to and from Hartsfield/Jackson airport, downtown Convention Center, Braves/Falcon stadiums, etc. Also, 2 miles from great shopping and restaurants at Lenox Mall, Phipps Plaza, Buckhead Village. SERVICE - Excellent service. Terrance (hotel Manager) and his staff are friendly, professional and quick to respond to your needs and requests. From check-in to check-out, they will make you feel welcome and appreciated. The property is clean, safe, quite and designed for an extended stay with a fully-equipped kitchen, free WiFi and cable in all the suites, plus free "grab & go" breakfast, free parking, laundry, gym and pool (in season). VALUE - Great value for the price, location, service and experience in Atlanta (whether it's business or pleasure)!…
For the most part, the personnel seemed more interested in staying within the office--texting, whatever?--with the door closed rather than manning the desk and trying to be helpful. I checked in late in the afternoon. The desk clerk was barricaded in the aforementioned office. When she came out and I was given the opportunity to check in and get to my room and unpack, I discovered neither the phone nor the TV were functioning. So I went down to the lobby and advised the lady. She didn't seem overly interested but she did finally join me upstairs to check things out close to half an hr. later, at which time she told me there was nothing she could do about the phone and she also couldn't get the TV to work, even with a new remote. So I was advised I could move to a room across the hall, which required me to pack it all up again. She came up with the key to the other room and attempted to take my key for the original room. Remarkably, I had to explain to her that I would need said key in order to go in and out while relocating my belongings across the hall. The other desk personnel had similarly cavalier attitudes about coming out of the office and communing with guests--with one great exception. An African-American gentleman, whose name is Kenny or Lenny, I believe, was just so helpful and friendly and he is really an outstanding employee in a sea if mediocrity at this particular Extended-Stay America. Kudos to him for making my stay much, much more pleasant!…
The price of the hotel was very fair. The services were also average. Occasionally, there was no one at the reception and the breakfast was very lean (pack of cereal and coffee). That said, the room was clean and quiet and the location was great for my morning jogs and evening walks and the MARTA station very close by.
This was not a pleasant stay. I was bite about 12 times by fleas, I hope not bed bugs. The halls smelled like a marijuana smoke and the smell at times came into my room. People would argue in the hallway at 1am in the morning and wake me they would also slam doors. On top of that the pillows were hard as rocks. The nicest part about this hotel was the front desk receptionist whose name is Alexandria or something like that. I’m still itchy from bites.
This was paid for by my friend and after I looked at the reviews I was a bit worried. However, the place wasgreat value -thestaff were helpful and we all had noreasonto complain -so GREAT value Thanks
