I am sorry to have to write this as the staff at this resort were very pleasant but I have to say I was so disappointed with this place. After a very long drive from Colombo I expected a lot more. Especially at these exorbitant prices!!! The beach is very nice and the pool is

I chose this resort as it followed our Safari in Wilpattu National Park. It looks unspoilt and a great place to relax It certainly was everything I hoped it to be and a great way to finish a very busy holiday to Sri Lanka There isn’t a lot to do here- but that was actually

We were lucky enough to stay here over Christmas 2018. We stayed in one of the Garden Cabanas which was amazing. Whilst the bedroom was in a covered bungalow, it was not totally enclosed, the toilet facilities were outside so we really were at one with nature. The noises of

we arrived from Colombo airport exhausted, and instantly felt at home in the peaceful and beautiful setting. essentially a completely private beach and pool, the excursions made our trip, with reasonable costs to see wild elephants in Willpattu, and spinner dolphins 3 miles off

We stayed with our three children of 5, 8 and 10 years old in one of the spacious villas. Since the swimming pool and beach are close by, the children felt very comfortable to go their own way during our stay. The personnel is very friendly and are walking the extra mile to

Hi, You don't have to be concerned about the issue; it's not cold- the water gets warm while in the pipes so you can take a normal shower. and it's an answer from an"always freezing person" so it'll be ok. there's no hot water if you look for it but enough for a splash shower.

As the weather is warm/hot, the water is never cold, but very pleasant to have the shower cascading down on you and refreshing you.

The official season starts in November through to March. The monsoon starts April/May and goes on till October. In September and since we are in the dry zone we will not experience much rain as it would be the case in the south. The sea is not at its best and swimming is not pleasant. The sea condition is ideal for kite surfing. No boat/ snorkeling/ dolphin and whale watching trips are conducted during this time. Game drives to Wilpattu park are recommended. Hope this helps.

The beach cabanas and villas have AC's installed and not the garden cabanas. The AC's are operational at least from 6pm to 6am. The beach cabanas are new and ever so slightly larger than the garden cabanas. Beach cabanas are closer to the pool and have a partial view of the sea. The garden cabanas are a bit more private and located in private fenced in landscaped gardens. Hope that helps. Howard. Bar Reef Resort Reservations
