This was my second time here, and it was an amazing experience. From the nice, beautiful room with a huge common terrace with loungers, to the SPA and the food experience, everything was excellent. You have to have lunch at Marina Restaurant, you have to have dinner at Botanika Restaurant, everything with a nice view of the lake and surroundings. Breakfast was great, with a big variety, good Billiard pool and bowling facilities with great cocktails at the underground bar. On the lake you can try the solar panel boats for a nice and environmentally friendly cruise, you can also connect your phone to the Bluetooth speakers of the boat and play nice, relaxing music during the sail. At the SPA I would like to mention Ms. Klaudia that gave me an amazing facial treatment and Ms. Patricia that indulged me with an excellent Indian whole-body ritual. The staff of the restaurants was attentive as well, with a special mention of Mr. Patrick, who attended us on a few occasions and made an excellent impression. We loved it!…
Nice hotel but price / performance is not coherent. +beautiful rooms +good food +beautiful location -There is no question of a wellness hotel: 1 mini infrared sauna for 1 person. 1 aroma sauna that is switched off (SPA staff does not care) and 1 Finnish sauna that is broken for an indefinite period. Rest area right by the pool so no rest. 9/10 guests with bathing suits and smartphone in the "nude area". Rooms should be equipped with insect/fly screens. 10 min ventilate and you had a whole swarm of mosquitoes in the room. We will not come back at the price (230€ per night / 1000 zloty).
We stayed for 2 nights on July 2021. This is one of the most beautiful hotels and sites I've ever been to and I strongly recommend it, even though there are things to improve. It's on a lake giving you a beautiful view from all public areas. You need a car to get here and it takes about a 2 hour drive to get to from Kraków. Covid-19- The hotel exercises Covid 19 precautions rigorously. There are disinfectant sprays placed in many public areas of the hotel, like lifts and more. Breakfast- Breakfast is served Buffet style HOWEVER there is no self service. The guests have no access to the food as there are long tables separating between the food and the guests, with a waiter lady serving each guest in it's turn and filling a dish for him/her with all the different items offered. This 'process' takes around 4-5 minutes for each guest and when there are 7-8 people in line, and only 1 waiter lady serving, you may end up waiting for an ½ hour. (I wanted some additional bread but there were 7 people in the line, so I gave it up. (I tried asking the waiter from the drinks etc. buffet, who wasn't busy to just bring me some bread from the other buffet but she said she cannot leave her place). On other hotels in Poland the buffet was operating normally (pre-Covid 19 era). I think that the management, who surely dedicated much thought to Covid-19 prevention, should allocate more employees serving the buffet, as the process of getting the food was way too long... Regarding the variety of foods in the breakfast buffet, I expected to find more dishes offered. SPA- The internal swimming pool is big and nice. Next to it are 2 jacuzzis. Outside is a small and beautiful 'infinity' pool and another jacuzzi overlooking the lake. Massage treatments are done by a a professional staff. Prices of treatments are relatively high even compared to those given in a nearby hotel the Lemon Resort Spa. The treatment menu is shown in English language but the confirmation page given after booking a treatment is given to you in Polish. This led to a wrong treatment booked for us and there was no way we could have spotted the error done, at the time of making the booking. Thus we ended up getting the wrong treatment. Thankfully it was also good. Restaurant- The hotel Marina restaurant serving dinner is a high quality restaurant serving tasteful dishes with views to the lake. Recommended. General- Due covid-19 restrictions the hotel is in a maximum of 50% occupancy rate, so there was little pressure on facilities like sunbeds, jacuzzis, elevators, free parking, etc. The service received from hotel staff was very good in general. Room- My wife celebrated her birthday and the front desk agent was very kind to give us an upgrade from a back view room to a room with a small balcony and with lake view. Thanks again! The room itself was modernly and newly designed. We had a problem with the bed (which was a bit surprising) and the following morning it was replaced. The air-conditioner was strong and powerful. The room had tea/coffee facility, free for the guests. Also 2 small water bottles are supplied daily. Highly recommended for an out of city break. _____________________ If you think my review was helpful, press the Helpful button.…
Stayed at Heron live hotel with my family about a week ago. First of all, I wanted to say big thank You to the hotel manager and the team ! We had absolutely fantastic time. Starting up with location, just stunning, hotel and surroundings made us feel like we have finally escaped from all the city noise and bussiness, exactly what we needed. Far enough from the noise but close enough, only 20 mins,to a big town and beautiful attractions around. Our lovely housekeeping lady, Marta, always with a smile and always helpful with whatever we needed, big thanks to her! Regarding gastronomy. We know that Corona virus made it especially difficult for them and their operation and to be honest, we didn't know what to expect but heron came up with some nice solutions, plastic screens for the buffet, really visible social distance, sanitation of everything etc. With two kids that was my biggest concern but they somehow managed beautifully. Oh and food ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. In my opinion one of the nicest holidays we have had abroad. Poland is beautiful and if other hotels in Poland are like that, we will definitely see more of it. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! THANK YOU.…
The room was extremely comfortable, modern, and clean. All members of the hotel staff were very helpful, professional, and responsive. Awesome location with purely amazing view, made our stay fabulous. FOODPORN on each restaurant. Great job Heron!
The location is perfect, right next to the lake which makes for great views. Over my stay I ate in all 3 restaurants and they were all very good, delicious and well presented, you could tell they put care into cuisine in every single one. Tried some cocktails at the bar too and they were great. The staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. The pools and jacuzzis were really nice too, not the biggest pools unfortunately so really depends on how many people are there but luckily when i went it wasn't too busy. Overall I would heavily recommend coming here. It's not the cheapest stay in Poland but you definitely get what you pay for, and if you're after some luxury/premium quality then look no further.
Stunning location - lake view is a must, it’s what makes it amazing. Spa facilities v good. Having a car is a must as it’s isolated. I would have wanted more bars/places for a snack all restaurants apart from where breakfast is served are v formal.
We spent here 2 fantastic nights. This hotel is very comfort, has very well equiped welneww relax zone and on top of that has fantastic restaurans. Whichever you choose, you made no mistake. Exclent breakfast as in none hotel of this prize cathegory. I can ONLY reccomend!
all is delax. the welcome warm but not too much infeltrating. rooms arre delax, but not kitsch. food is delicious, and the view is so much amazing! like a dream. SPA is very clean and well kept. it includes every body treatment you could think about.
From the moment you walk through the door, the professionalism of the reception staff and the friendliness of the bar staff and waiting staff make you feel so welcome. The room was outstanding with a huge bed, a well stocked (and reasonably priced) minibar, perfect air conditioning and amazing views over the lake. The food in the Marina bar was superb and I can highly recommend everything on the menu (we tried 80%). As an Englishman I can thoroughly recommend the fish and chips. For a more formal meal the Sienna 104 restaurant comes with wine recommendations from the hotel sommelier which were perfect in every case. Take advantage of the South African Pinotage or the fine Bordeaux. If you need to try anything special the Sky bar restaurant delivers sushi of the highest standard and finest taste. Extra mentions should be given to Dariusz the reception Bar Manager who could not have made us feel more like family, and to the chef on Sunday who humoured an old man by making a banana split! Many thanks. The Spa experience was really pleasant with a dip in the infinity pool at sunset a highlight of any trip, along with an outside jacuzzi with sunset views across the lake being especially thought provoking and relaxing. Full praise should be given to the Senior Management for cascading an experience which forms the basis for a second, third and even fourth visit. …
