Iaki Conference and Spa Hotel is one of the most important hotels on the Romanian coast, due to its long tradition, history and the quality of services offered. Opened in 1959 under the name of Yalta and then renamed Bucharest Hotel, it's the oldest hotel in Mamaia, a place frequented throughout history by the personalities of time. In 1999, Bucharest Hotel changed its owner, being bought by the great football player, Gheorghe Hagi. After renovation, Iaki Conference and Spa Hotel reopened its gates and regained its glory, becoming one of the most iconic hotels on our coast. Iaki Conference and Spa Hotel stands out by its special architecture and also by the facilities it offers to its guests: private beach, outdoor swimming pool, restaurants, bars, modern Spa Center, kids' playground, parking, etc. Iaki Spa Center is equipped with indoor heated swimming pool, massage rooms, gym, wet and dry saunas, Jacuzzi, etc., all completed by modern therapies. The Conference Center is comprised of four rooms with a total capacity of 400 seats and includes all the facilities necessary for a successful event. Iaki Conference and Spa Hotel is open all year round.

The hotel's atmosphere is regarded as elegant and inviting, with many praising its cleanliness, from spotless bathrooms to well-maintained common areas. The room was nice for our family of 5 and appeared modern, it had a master bedroom with one large bed and a living/setting area that was turned into a second room for our children to sleep in as well as a dinning area and standard hotel bathroom.
Dining was mostly problematic as there were rarely a table for 5 people that was open and we had to communicate with staff to get something arranged. The buffet service was odd as the employees had to serve you. But i will blame CONVID 19 for these two gaps I experienced with dining. Mostly the food was good but often cool or room temp.
The best part was the pool staff, very accommodating and always took great care of our family daily!
The beach staff was less attentive and mostly exhibited an "avoidance" behavior very little attempt to engage or offer assistance. The beach itself and the water really impressed me.
I booked this hotel through emailing their email address on their website. I negotiated a full board vs half board rate as the full board rate got my family access to the indoor pool services. This was explicitly communicated between the rep Cristina and myself as i was worried if it rained would my kids have a place to swim without paying extras. So, finally we decided to go full board to get these services included.
Once arrived at the hotel i discovered the indoor facilitates were closed due to CONVID, which is understandable. But drove serious questions from me on the character of Iaki when a rate was negotiated just days before on the knowledge that facility was closed. It has been about 3 weeks since i returned and emailed the representative I worked with on the reservation asking how/why this happened and received no response. I am sure something was lost in translation but feel like maybe i was taken advantage of on this.
Overall i would return to this hotel, i thought it was a good overall value.

We are very serious when it comes to our guests feedback and we assure you that we took into consideration everything you mention to us. Regarding the SPA access, we are truly sorry that the situation we all confront with didn't allow us to open in time for your stay. Unfortunately, the SPA Center remains close to this day due to National regulations. We hope that you will choose us again for your next vacation and we will make sure that you will have a great one! We've been there for 4 nights to celebrate New Year's Eve and we were very impressed by everything: the rooms were very spacious and clean (we had an apartment), the food was delicious and the buffet had a lot of options, they organised parties with live entertainment every evening, including kid entertainment. The spa is very nice, we relaxed by the pool and in the saunas. We will definitely come back again.

The last weekend of September - last days with sun even very windy. We said to get a seaside trip as this summer we did not visit the sea because of the pandemic. The danger is not gone but at least the number of people who visit the coast decreased.
The hotel is as we knew from before the year 1990 when it used to be a special one used only by higher communist party members and officialities. That period of time only with very high relationships one could make a booking here. Now we were pleased to see it was completely renovated and everything looked great. The nice pleasure was that I asked them in advance if possible to get the room before 4 o'clock pm as we travelled with an 84 years old person. The reception could not promise but when we arrived at around 12:30 the first suite they got was offered to us and I am grateful for that.
Breakfast is very good, COVID measures are good - each floor has disinfection substances in special recipients.
All in all it was a nice experience and for sure whenever we find places at this hotel will book again.

The hotel itself has style. Not the flashy, Dubai-like, style. The style that new money rarely chooses to buy. It has class.
The two balcony rooms we had were simple, elegant, clean and comfortable.
The staff is amazing. The ladies from the reception were so patient and helpful with my many, many demands. The waiters were as one should expect at a 4 star hotel. I would especially like to thank Mr. Gabi for the pairing of the wine with the food and the great chats, he is an absolute delight. The food is also delicious and I am a foodie so I am not easily pleased.
Due to Covid, the sauna, jacuzzi and indoor pool were closed, but the massages were amazing and the entire spa personnel was beyond reproach.
The beach is well kept, beds and umbrellas are new, brown beds, white umbrellas, Alex and Maria made us feel welcomed and pampered, as I think they did with all the other guests.
The other hotel guests are also nice to have around if one is looking for a stress free getaway. Mainly families, educated guests that respected each other's privacy and space.
The hotel owner is, as he always has been, a discreet, polite and kind person. He smiled for every picture, no matter how many times per night people would go up and ask him for yet another photo.
Social distancing and all anti covid protection measures were strictly followed by the staff and the guests.
All&all, it was a relaxing, safe and delightful vacation. We came for 4 days, ended up staying 6 and my only regret is that we didn't find a room for yet another extra night.
Thank you Iaki, hope to see you soon again.

We had a 7 night-stay at Iaki Hotel in Mamaia, at the end of June 2020, and it was a fabulous stay, from all points of view.
The hotel is very nice, being situated on the Black Sea Coast, the staff is very friendly (starting with the reservation staff, reception, cleaning ladies, beach staff, the photographer and, of course, the staff in the restaurant). For those who love staying at the pool, the hotel offers two lovely outdoor pools, out of which one is for children. Given the Covid-19 situation, we could not enjoy the indoor pool, but I am sure it is also very nice. The hotel has taken all the possible measures for ensuring a safety environment for its guests, organizing breakfast on 2/3 shifts, with 15 minutes for disinfection, cleaning all the common surfaces regularly, providing disinfectants at every floor and so on.
The sea-view rooms are worth staying in and, overall, it was a very good choice to be there.
Thank you for such a pleasant stay! We are looking forward to coming back this summer!

I visited once again Iaki Hotel for a short holiday to experience seaside during winter. All in all it was a great experience, extremely relaxing, and I would come back anytime.
We opted for one of the hotel's special promotions 'Winter Escape' which proved a wise choice with a very good price/value ratio. We were
Breakfast was good, as always, with sufficient diversity and very good service.
We also had the chance to use the Spa and this was a truly enjoyable experience, although in the afternoon it might get a little crowded as the Spa is open to outside guests as well.
We also had the chance to try the 'a la carte' restaurant and the food was extremely tasty whereas the prices similar to other high end locations in Constanta. Try the 'Mussels a la Hagi', they are really wonderful!
The staff is very friendly, professional and engaged as always, and I have seen familiar faces from previous stays which definitely helps the hotel maintain the high level of service.
I will be on the lookout for their future promotions and looking forward to returning here!

We had a wonderful stay at the Iaki Hotel!
Here we found an oasis of comfort and relaxation, different from the crowds and noise in Mamaia.
Clean, prompt, decent service, comfort, elegance, tranquility. Rich and varied breakfast and lunch. The welcoming and quiet atmosphere at the pool and in the hotel garden, where you can hear jazz and clasic pieces of piano. The private beach ,nearby the sea, is clean and uncluttered, sun beds and umbrellas are free of charge, beach bar also available!
Well done for the Iaki hotel, where the management is made by a team of professionals!
We'll be back with love!
