We stayed in a tent for 2 nights. The accommodations such as showers and toilets are pretty basic, but clean. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. But what really makes this camping site worthwhile a visit is the location. We choose a pretty secluded spot to put up our tent, giving us a longer walk to the facilities, but it was worth it; beautiful views and close to the beach. Nice and quiet. The camping site sits close to the road, but the traffic is limited, and we did not find it bothersome. Stave Camping is excellent situated for excursions to Andøya, Bleik and Måntind. The camping also rents out kayaks which we did, and had a lovely day out to other secluded beaches nearby. We also spotted seals!
Stave Campsite was definitely one of the nicest Places we went to on our Four-Weeks-Bicycle-Trip through Northern Norway. And this not only for the great Experience of a muscle-relaxing Hotpool-Evening, we had the Chance to take part in. The View over the sea, the rocks and the white beach in the Area, where u put up the Tents is just splendid, the staff -mostly not from Norway- is very friendly, and the Cabins and Facilities are kept in a very good shape. The whole Place looks like a well kept relaxing Zone, where we really liked to stop overnight on our way to Andenes. Two remarks though: We felt, that half an hour instead of one whole hour would be absolute enough and less tiring for one Session in the Hotpools. This way maybe the offer could be made a little less expensive and more people could get the Chance to make it into the Pools. And second: The Tent-Area is quite far away from the main Buildings an the Toilets. You also have to cross a road to visit the Kitchen, reception, etc. This can be kind of embarrassing- especially in the middle of the night...…
We stayed a couple of days in a cabin with private bathroom at Stave Camping. The cabin was very well equipped and tidy. It had a perfect view on the ocean. Stave is a good base camp for all kinds of activities such as hiking, kayaking or just relaxing in the sauna with access to the sea.
We stayed in a tent on the beautiful beach. It was great listening to the waves at night. The bathrooms and kitchen were very clean and the hotpools were awesome. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again!
We had a great stay at stave camping. The new owners and the staff was very friendly and helpful in every way. The cabin is simple but has all you need and it's clean. The other facilities as kitchen, restroom and showers was good and clean as well. The hotpool was great! Nice temp, beautiful view, just perfect, even in the rain. We sat down on the amazing beach just across the camp and just enjoyed the view.We went up to the mountain (Måtinden) and the view was breathtaking. It took about 30 min walking straight up. I highly recommend this camp and the owners and staff. We are deffently going back! Atle and Ida (Norway)
