Very special place with all-u-need garden and rooms, very good furniture and kitchen equipment; one of the most smile and intelligent hosts. The North Evia has Lichadonisia but its just the beginning of everything :) We are family with a baby and a child and we've been to many Greek islands.
Stella the owner, offers the best hospitality to all get guests. Her customer service is astounding.....such a great place for families with children. The location was perfect and very close to the beach. The rooms are very clean and no doubt we will be returning in the future.
I spent 10 days in the hotel Aenaon last October; ten restful days of real peace in a very pleasant place. Stella and Vassili welcomed me very warmly and made all the efforts to make me feel good during my stay. This place is far away from the invasion of tourists. I could really appreciate and live «an authentic Greece». No need to move, everything is within easy reach. For those who want to discover the region, you can go for a hike in the mountain or in the countryside and even take advantage of numerous activities connected to the sea. My studio was comfortable and welcoming. I felt at home there with a magnificent view on the garden, the landscape and the sea very close to the hotel. It's ideal for recharging.
We stayed at Aenaon for a bit over a week to explore north Evia, and I can honestly say it is one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had! From the minute they picked us up from the bus stop in Istiaia, the owners Stella and Vassilis made us feel like part of the family, and were super great in helping us get around and get to know that part of island. It was amazing to get off the beaten path away from the crowds and enjoy the incredible Greek countryside, with views of fields and mountains everywhere you look (also, the fresh milk and yogurt from our shepherd neighbor in the morning has completely ruined American milk for me...). We walked to the beautiful beach almost every day - it's about 5 minutes away - and had it pretty much to ourselves. Our room was clean and very cozy, and since we were staying for a while it was great to have the kitchenette in our room. Kanatadika itself is definitely rural with just a scattering of houses and farms, but it was easy to go to Oraie or Aidipsos for dinner when we felt like it. We really appreciated the warm hospitality, and already want go back!…
Upon first arriving at this tucked away gem, I was thoroughly pleased to see both mountains and sea from my balcony. Though Kanatadika is not yet well known in all the guidebooks, there is a rich history here, as well as lush waterfalls and crystal clear blue water. Stella and Vassilis greeted me with smiles and open hearts, eager to help me enjoy my stay. (Stella and Vassilis also started the local culture club and can point you in the direction of cultural happenings as well.) They can make any coffee drink you could ever desire, and have a good stock of alcohol available as well. Stella makes lots of home-made wine and liquors from their local and organic fruit trees, and if you ask they can probably get you some local milk from the sheep that walk past every morning. What's nice is that there is a lot of accessible and delicious food nearby in Orei and Istaia, both a very short drive or a nice seaside walk. There are full kitchens in each studio, if you want to stay in and cook. There are many beautiful areas to hike in the vicinity, and a multitude of seaside towns to explore as well. I would highly recommend coming to Aenaon Studios for your next natural get-away!…
