This place is great lots to do and see and great eats and day trips all around whether u want a weekend or seasonal stay everyone is so friendly and it’s a very peaceful park. Alaways fun activities for the whole family.
I come here fairly often to visit family, however I have been trying to book a park model for a family function. I have left several messages to which no one has replied, and I've messaged on social media where I was told they would answer my query in the morning. That was 3 weeks ago and I am still waiting. Super disappointed. I am fine if they want to tell me no or to give me a reason they don't have an answer, but just leaving customers hanging like this is extremely rude and unprofessional.
My family went in Labour day weekend, it was one of the worst camping experiences I have ever had. There were no activities planned for the kids, and the few they advertised didn’t happen (woody wagon) the pond is disgusting and the bathrooms I don’t think have ever been cleaned . The manager has no people skills and is down right rude. Every time I was out walking I would see her visiting with people at the end of the g section . The people she was visiting with were very loud and disruptive so I thought maybe she was getting them in trouble . Realized that no she was partying with them . So if you need help with anything that’s where I would look first for her ..
We have a 38ft Fifth Wheel trailer w/toy hauler. Getting in and out of the site was easy. The sites for transient - are large, W/E/S and at the back of the park away from the seasonal trailers. Our view in one direction was a nice wooded forest area, and the view in the other direction was a corn field. Of course, there were other trailers, but separated by small trees. It was SO QUIET. Having a fire, relaxing and watching the stars - was amazing. The very friendly lady at the front desk was great. So nice to be greeted with such enthusiasm. We will definitely be back next summer!
We spent a lot of time researching RV parks near Stratford ON for our first ever camping trip in our new camper. Our 12 year old grandson was traveling with us so Woodlands online ad sounded perfect. It boasted paddle boat rentals, bicycle rentals, arcade, ten lane dart board challenges, and more. The grounds were very lovely, and the trails through the woods were fun, but...there were no paddle boats, bicycles, darts or arcade. THis was a good lesson for us not to trust ads and to always confirm directly wherever you book to confirm all services available. In fairness to this resort we did travel at the end of the season, but the paddle boats and bikes, and arcade did not appear to exist. Bottom line, confirm prior to booking.
