I have just returned from an overnight stay at Collon House. We travelled as a group of 10 friends attending a wedding at a nearby location. The house is absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean. Michael is a fabulous host and looked after us all very well. Every need was attended to. The room was very spacious with a 4 poster bed, toilet and separate shower. We were able to check in at 11am which allowed to get ready for the wedding. We were served coffee and cake outside in the courtyard when we arrived which was a nice touch. Breakfast was served in a beautiful dining room with silver tableware and was very tasty with freshly prepared ingredients and an unlimited supply of toast, tea, coffee and fruit juices. Michael gave us directions to our destinations and made us feel very special. I thought the rate of €160 was very good for the service we received and the overall experience. I would love to visit again in the future.

We stayed at Collon House while attending a concert at Slane Castle. Michael helped us organise transport to and from the venue and had a warm welcome for us after a long day on the road when we arrived. He even came out to the main road to look for us when we couldn't find the accommodation, which is tucked in behind a beautiful walled garden. The room was very clean with a huge bed. Breakfast the following morning was delicious. Michael was a pleasure to deal with. Genuine Irish hospitality. It feels like you are stepping back in time staying in this fabulous property. Thanks Michael, hopefully we will return!

Myself and my husband spent the night here over a weekend. The house has been lovingly kept and full to the brim with beautiful antique furniture and art. Our host Michael was welcoming and very accommodating throughout our stay. It is a truly unique B&B experience. A beautiful breakfast was served family style in a wonderful large dining room, complete with full antique dining sets and beautiful silver. A downton abbey-esque experience! The house was open to roam about and use all the comfortable living spaces, to sit quietly and read a book or as you please. A truly memorable experience with an unforgettable ambiance.

Collon house is a perfectly restored magnificent Georgian manor house with antiques and art worthy of a museum. Michael McMahon shares his house with a few guests. Breakfast is served in the ancient but beautiful kitchen with a silver safe built behind a secret panel. We enjoyed our evening talking to michael followed by a relaxing night in the Chinese room. In short Everything is perfect. We celebrated our anniversary here and savored every moment.our heartfelt thank you to Michael for making us so welcome.

This “house” dates back to 1700’s and is too to toes covered in lovely antiques and furniture. The place is “comfortable” in every sense . Grand dining room for breakfast or a dinner party if in a group with friends . A wonderful venue for a wedding or celebration ! The big suite upstairs has a large living room to just lay around or enjoy with friends . The bed is very comfortable and the shower is very good even tho the bathroom is tiny . Host Michael is welcoming and anxious to make your stay ....perfect . Ask for an extra heater if travelling in winter if you need to supplement the in-house set heating system. Location is perfect - much beautiful countryside and little Irish drinking houses all surround Collon house
