Detailed Reviews
Munyamodzi combines elegance with a real African adventure. The room, facilities and especially the meals were equivalent to what any sophisticated traveler would want. At the same time, you were never far from the flora and fauna that characterize the Zambian savannah.
The staff are exceptionally well trained and accommodating, and the management warm and engaging.

You can’t beat the Luangwa Valley magic and we were treated very well by Nicky and Thor.
The camp is clean, well maintained, nicely set out and has magnificent views of the Luangwa River.
Game drives were always eventful with game plentiful. The wildlife and bush is well looked after.
The accommodations were comfortable and well suited for the bush holiday.
Definitely a destination we would recommend to anyone.

Together with friends, we had a wonderful stay here in August 2018.
The game was plentiful. I was pleased to see elephants every day. And the elephants were not aggressive (or less so that I expected). A friend saw lions on multiple trips.

+1
I spend 2 weeks in Munyamadzi as part of a fieldwork back in October. I absolutely loved it there. Nicky and Thor was the most wonderful hosts. They took me for several game drives and had inexhaustible knowledge of the area and wildlife. I saw just about every animal that is to see in the Luangwa Valley - Lions, hyenas, elephants who would cross the river almost every day, roan, the endemic thornicrofti giraffe, hippos, kudu, puku, buffalo, warthogs and a wide array of birdlife, including a family of rare ground hornbills who would come and search for food on the riverbank just across camp every day. I took some of my best pictures directly from camp, as many animals came to drink from the river every day. The accommodation is nice and clean, the staff is friendly and the chefs cook some great meals. Compared to a stay in the one of the national parks in Zambia, this place is much cheaper, much more serene and much more authentic. All my greatest recommendations to Munyamadzi.
