Room 2118 - family swim-up next to golf course T-box, partial view of sea and located underneath inbound westerly traffic to Paphos airport. Frequency.....just look up flight tracker info' on the www. Room 2118 is an end room on the block and had the sun most of the day. In short, not private unless you enjoyed plane spotting or the occasional stray golf ball but mostly noisy golfers on the T. It is a golf course and that has to be understood in this review, but you have to be there to appreciate my comments. This resort is favoured by wedding party goers and all that goes with prior to and during 'their' celebrations. We ate out during 90% of our stay, we were there for 11 nights...expensive if you've paid for an AI package, but it was necessary for our holiday enjoyment. That is not to say the food was poor, its just the mass catering and therefore we chose to eat locally either in the village close to the golf club entrance (15% discount was offered for Tui residents) or my advice would be...hire a car as you are at least 30mins from Paphos, same as Limassol. NB: The food post a late evening arrival was poor though, little choice, did not look fresh and like most of the restaurant settings, had no atmosphere. Sit outside for buffet restaurant (we went there for breakfast most days) because inside reminded me of a motorway service station. I have some recommendations for eating locally, I have some recommendations for clients who are thinking booking a stay here who are physically challenged. However, I won't go there in this review as I reserve the right to discuss with this company (for the benefit of others) in how to communicate properly with customers who have a life changing disposition. Clearly, the staff @ this resort have no training in this regard, none that I could see or experienced, especially on arrival. Despite this I am also a snob, !! joking aside, clearly the hotel has no soul and lacks a management structure to tackle rowdy guests. One evening, a group of young men were playing cricket outside in the adult bar. I don't like cricket ;) and that was OK for a 5 star hotel ! ! ! ?? Thank you Mary and George, two local employees who deserve a mention for their humour and help when needed. You may be reading this and thinking, boy..this guy is sore ! No, just a wise traveller, visited wonderful Cyprus on many occasions (in fact, i've seen a lot of this planet, work and play) but never with Tui again. In summation; a bucket shop holiday, fast food, under staffed definitely, grubby in places and strongly suggest eating out but also to save that unpleasant process of fighting for a reservation in the hotel evening restaurants on the all too reliant Tui app !! Noisy @ times. Try G&T @ Cielo, The Pelican in Paphos harbour, Sea caves restaurant (north of Paphos), Zambartas Wineries.

My husband and I loved our first visit so much that whilst we were staying there, we booked for the following year, however, due to Covid, our holiday was postponed. We were delighted on our arrival to have been given the same suite as last time as requested. The room was just as we remembered. In addition, we had been left a lovely card, fizz and gorgeous fruit platter, by management due to it being our 18th wedding anniversary during our visit. The adults pool and sun deck is very good indeed although we had our sun umbrella and one bed mattress taken when we stepped away for a short period!!! I have to say that the food at the Mexican restaurant at lunch time and in the evening is of a very high standard with wonderful staff. The food and staff at Jasmine are wonderful too. The Indian restaurant in the Village Square is of a high standard too. The hardest worker by far at Aphrodite Hills, on both our visits has got to be DRAGOS…a waiter who you can tell really enjoys his job, by the main pool area who is dynamite on legs as he takes drinks orders and delivers them so fast, he is a credit to the resort. Big shout out to the spa where we went for treatments on our anniversary. I had a 90 minute hot stone massage with Cheryl and it was divine… One thing I need to point out with the buffet restaurant, please heat the food better. No matter when you get fried eggs, just cooked or sitting, they are stone cold… I found the TUI reps on this occasion to be rude on occasion and not enthusiastic in their work. Smiles go a long way. Aphrodite Hills is a stunning resort and the grounds are amazing…the flowers, plants and trees WOW… I would like to think we will be back in the future.

Dear Reviewer Thank you for taking the time to let us know your feedback after your recent visit. May I take this opportunity to wish you and your husband a very happy anniversary! I am so pleased that you choose to celebrate this special occasion with us. The bottle of fizz, card and fruit platter was a small gesture on our part for you to enjoy your special day - I am glad you liked it. It's great that you visited all the restaurants as last time and still find the a la cartes to be of the same high quality and good service. Thank you for your feedback on the buffet - my team are already looking into this to ensure only the best quality is served. It is a true pleasure to receive such positive feedback for Dragos. My team have worked exceptionally hard this season and when I hear of such feedback, it really makes me very proud. Our Retreat Spa is a true getaway and it's great that you utilized this as a special treat for your anniversary, I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed your treatment and I hope you both left the Spa feeling relaxed and calm. Thank you again for returning to us and I hope you both had a lovely time. We look forward to welcoming you both back very soon. Kind Regards Nicholas Kittis General Manager

I just returned from this beautiful resort. I staid there for 7 days in a swim-uo family room with a friend. What I can point out is the kindliness of the staff, the beautiful gardens and the rest you can expect. When we arrived, the staff didn't found our reservation. 2 hours later, everything was fine & the next day the management appalogised with a bottle of prosecco delivered in the room. The buffet was OK for an all in with enough choice for everybody. The location between paphos & limassol is perfect as starting point for visits & nice & well-managed public beaches but a car is needed. Take also some time for a care at the spa and relax an entire day at the infinity pool (charged). All in one, I'll recommand this resort for a week break probably out of season.

Dear Reviewer Thank you for your review and I am glad that you enjoyed your break with your friend. I am pleased you found all staff to be welcoming and friendly. I am sorry to hear about the mix up at reception. We offered for you to relax and enjoy dinner while it was resolved and your room was ready upon your return. I am glad you enjoyed your room - the swim ups are a nice way to have a little more luxury to your holiday with lovely views over the the golf course. It's great that you also enjoyed some treatments at our award winning spa. Our location is on a resort that is in between the two towns of Paphos and Limassol. Both towns are beautiful in different ways - I hope you explored both! Thank you for recommending us to others and we hope to welcome you back to Aphrodite Hills in the near future Kind Regards Nicholas Kittis General Manager

This is really a review for anybody that has been before and booking with expectations based on previous visits. Having stayed at this hotel before and having been wowed by the service and overall experience, we decided to come back for honeymoon knowing how special it had been the first time. We also decided to stay longer this time. We are on day 3 and regretting our choice. Last time we arrived, we were greeted with hot hand towels, a glass of fizz and food in our room. The 'sensatori welcome' we were told. That is gone. We appreciated that things would be a bit different given covid but all the things that gave it that wow and sensatori experience are now clearly a thing of the past. Your room is cleaned once every two days now. No biggy for us but when they did come, they did not top up mini bar or even leave us milk for a cuppa. Guess we'll see if we get any on day 4! The room itself, 5202 is a sea view which we paid to upgrade to and the room and view is beautiful. No complaints there. Additionally, on day 2, they brought us a bottle of fizz and fruit to celebrate honeymoon which was a lovely touch. The hotel itself is lovely and the gardeners never stop to keep the place looking pretty. The pools are nice and the guys around the pools serving drinks never stop all day. Good service there. Sun loungers.... don't even bother past 9am. Everybody has towels down from god knows what time and although there is a sign saying it is prohibited, it is not. I have certainly not seen anybody checking on that situation. With regards to breakfast, 3 days in a row now we've not even been asked if we'd like a cup of tea or coffee. Food wise, we booked this as we knew was Al la carte and expected to dine like that every night as we did last time. That's gone now too. Restricted to 3 visits. Even though we're here 10 days, we only get 1 extra. I would not have booked on that basis. I don't expect to pay over £3000 to eat from a buffet nearly every night. You are not even guaranteed the limited visits you do have unless you are quick off the mark and on the app at 10am ready to book. Last night we ate around 9pm and whilst still eating, we were told buffet closing if we wanted dessert meaning my husband had to leave his meal to grab a dessert. Not great when your dining experience is so limited to start with. The spa is beautiful. The treatments were lovely and the pool there is an infinity with stunning view. We paid extra for treatments but that is to be expected. We always knew it wouldn't be quite the same this time and the negatives mentioned may sound picky but when you are paying for an experience and service, it is disappointing especially given we have paid the same, if not more than we did last time. Not 5* and certainly not a sensatori. I am so disappointed, especially with it being our honeymoon. Such a shame. We said we'd never book anything but sensatori after last time but now, I think we'll be lowering expectations or looking elsewhere. I hope the hotel can bring it back to what it was previously.

Dear Reviewer, Thank you for taking the time out of your holiday to leave a review. I agree that certain things have changed due to COVID restrictions set in place by the government. Offering a hot towel upon arrival can now not be offered unfortunately. This is something beyond our control and we hope to return back to 'normal' soon! I am pleased you are enjoying your room and the views it provides - looking out over the golf course and Mediterranean Sea is a truly magnificent sight. The bottle of fizz and fruit platter is a small gesture from us to celebrate your special occasion. I'm glad you liked it. Our gardeners work very hard to ensure that the hotel grounds and surroundings are kept immaculate always. I hope you manged to have some nice romantic strolls around the resort and through the gardens. We do offer a la cartes that are bookable. This can be done through the info kiosk or by a downloadable app straight on your mobile phone. It works on a first come first serve basis which we have found to be the fairest way for all guests. I am glad you ventured to our Retreat Spa and enjoyed the treatments. I hope you go on to enjoy the remainder of your honeymoon with us and make some magical and wonderful memories. Kind Regards Nicholas Kittis General Manager

We have just returned from an amazing break in this lovely hotel. The staff were exceptional, the room was lovely, the facilities and activities outstanding. We had a room with a private pool which meant that we were provided with seating and sun loungers around our pool, however when we wanted to use the bigger pools we were always able to find loungers - maybe not next to the pool but within the vicinity. The food was very good, however, in the buffet restaurant we needed to use the microwave to bring the temperature up. There were not enough staff to serve drinks and it could be a long walk to the bar around the pool. I am picky with my drinks, I ONLY drink DIET coke or Pepsi and they only serve Peps Max (YUK!!!) however, eventually they managed to supply a few cans of Diet Coke I was able to go to the local shop and buy a bottle in the mean time. All the staff, both TUI and Hotel, were incredibly helpful and I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.
