This is one of the best resort stay experiences that we ever had, and we have been to quite a lot of resorts in different countries. In terms of quality, Muthi Maya could be rated above 5-star, if there was any option for such rating. You have everything in the villa, high quality slippers, excellent bath robes, two seperate WC's, a king size bathroom with large jacuzzi tub and separate shower location, proper kitchenete with everything that you need including Coffee-maker, "Emperor size" bed with extremely high quality linens & pillows, king-size sofa, and not to mention its private swimming pool with full privacy! The resort has 3 restaurants, each offering perfect cuisines by perfect chefs. My review may sound bit overwhelming but as I mentioned in the beginning that it was one of the best resort stay experiences that we ever had out of many resort stays over the course of past years. You can hire bicycles to tour the resort. I had great time by the lake with the bike. To travel from one location to other location within the resort you need proper cars which is provided by resort whenever you need; golf cars wouldn't be enough as it's like a size of a city- no exaggeration! It was expensive but if you can afford, it would be well spent! We stayed in this resort for 3 nights (in January 2018). If we are back in Thailand, we will consider revisiting. f we are in Thailand again, we will consider to go back!…
Villas behind a large private acreage of land, including a golf course and horse stables. Definitely need a car to get to. Check in was awesome and quick, staff who attended us spoke excellent English, golf cart to villa (too far too walk). Our private villa was overlooking the golf course and was lovely. Villa is huge with kitchen with all amenities, free mini bar; snacks and soft drinks. 2 bathrooms, 2 toilets. Massive jacuzzi with enough room for 2. Bed big and living area has a large day bed. Robes provided, very comfy. Room has 2 separate ducted air cons that you can control the temp. Outside private pool the best area; 2 deck chairs and another Day bed with table. Has lighting for after dark. Pool lovely, bit cold as was Thai winter but not that bad. Buffet breakfast was nice with choices of Thai noodles, western foods, fruits, table service coffee, yoghurt etc. Good check out time of midday which was much appreciated. You can call the Golf Cart at any time to take you back to reception and the car park. Stay included free tickets to the Secret Garden on the premises. Best to go at night. Way to hot during the day. Overall fantastic stay, especially at the discounted rate we got due to covid and low tourist numbers.…
+ Rooms were very spacious and nice, amazing looking pools + Staff were very friendly and our additional requests were taken care of promptly + Very private area, great for walks +Bed was comfortable but on the firmer side - While villas were nice, our section was near a construction site, a little noisy but manageable. Was expecting some mountain views, there were none. - Breakfast was average and quite annoying that you had to book a time slot, understandable to prevent queues but I dont want to stick to a schedule on holiday
Staff at restaurant was very rude. Training system in Kiriyama group is not functioning properly. 5 star hotel ? should be joking. Recommend not to go this hotel and restaurant. 残念ながら従業員が無礼でした。サービスの本質を理解していません。これで五つ星ホテルを自称するのは恥ずかしいです。どうしても他のホテルの予約が取れない場合を除いて、敢えてこのホテルを選択するのは避けるべきです。
Worth every baht. Luxurious, large spacious villas with 4 quarters! Kitchenette with large table that doubles as a good desk for a work-from-hotel stint (very reliable internet connection within the villa). Generously sized bathroom with a jacuzzi, everything was lavish and working. Living room with a very large sofa and flatscreen. And last but not least, separated bedroom with another large flatscreen. Outdoors, a sizable pool to kill the heat, and there is a private garden down a short flight of stairs. Full height glass doors in bedroom and living room leads to deck space for sitting out and an added pavilion situated on one end of the pool. Surrounded by greenery, the exclusive vibe is strong with this one. Situated on a very large estate with plenty to explore, a wild deer crossed the road in front of my car, nature. Hearty breakfast buffet styled in the morning, everything was tantalizing. I have found what I have been looking for in Kao Yai. I wish I have tried this resort sooner. Khao Yai, where trusted chain of hotels is elusive. Muthi Maya is one of the resorts under the Kirimaya name. And on this massive patch of property right beside big mountain, we can find Atta (residential type resort), Kirimaya (resort type resort… ) and Muthi (the ultimate pool villas). They also have one of the most luxurious tented stay you can find in Thailand, and these are found next to Kirimaya. The large estate features a golf course, and there are also private residential suites where the well to do have their country getaways. With such a massive operation running, you can trust that the momentum itself assures that everything is well kept, amenities plenty and you get all the hospitality here without disappointment. At certain times of the year, they have The Secret Garden open. It features a large kaleidoscope of flower beds, and rustic straw structures for that ultimate Instagram opportunity. All these with the backdrop of misty mountain when the weather is right. They even have a horse stable within the estate, Khoa Yai is cowboy county after all. Plenty to explore as such, the drive in the estate is over meandering roads which opens to awesome landscapes, and some parts along some forest. It was late afternoon while I was driving out the resort, a wild deer stood by the road and dived into the bushes as I approached. This showed just how connected this place is to the nature park adjacent. Meals here, we have a few restaurants to choose from. I was told Atta is where we could get Japanese, but we did not venture there. We had Italian for lunch where Muthi is. The setting is open air and the view is of the golf course, or the main pool below depending on which side one sits. Dinner, we had over at Kirimaya. The restaurant sits above water, high ceilings for that openness and fresh mountain air. It was the All-In-One stay we had booked, and this included a Thai set dinner which was totally impressive and generous in portions. All the dishes served looked more than right, and none was a disappointment in taste. Sometimes elsewhere, when you buy into these half or full board promotions, you get only the cheapest of food, but not here. The staffs where all very friendly. We sat in one of the protruding balconies that has the best of views into the backdrop of big mountain. This was also where we spotted large tents, and where I learned of their Tented Villa which features a large jacuzzi tub within. Though pricey, they are imbued with all forms of luxury. And they were taken up, so we did not get a chance to survey and apprise them truly. To get to the restaurants from one resort to the other, we can either drive, or we can take the complimentary inter resort buggy service. The distance is too long for a brisk walk. For both these 2 places we had our meals (Muthi and Kirimaya), there are just copious amount of greenery around. I like the setting over at Kirimaya best. It is plenty upscale. You will be embraced by her extravagance. Eating into the twilight, the openness with the sounds of nature. Peace and tranquility just permeating throughout the place. For breakfast, we had to make reservations as mealtime was divided into slotted hours aligned with Covid measures. Though we took the later 9 am slot, there was no shortage of food. There was no hurried rowdy pace, everything was nice and tidy thanks to the arrangements. We sat by the pool, the breakfast was open air. For kids, we had to fork out THB 350. This was unlike most hotels that I go to, where kids of age 5 still eat free. But THB 350 is fair play because it is a buffet she got. Parents will understand that open choices offered by buffet is vital. If our children don’t like what we ordered or took for them, we can either force feed them like a bird, or burn them by the stake. But since we can’t do any of those, we will have to try the other dishes. Therefore, not being stuck with an ala-cate order is critical. Our villa was a heaven. Just thinking about it makes me so want to be there again. We spend a large part of our day just dipping in the cool water beating the warm humid weather. Other times, I sat out in the pavilion having a beer and enjoyed my me time as my child had her online lessons indoors. In the kitchenette, there was a microwave. Capsule coffee provided my dose of pre-breakfast caffeine. The mini bar was on the house. During turndown, they came to refill the snacks. In the night, my child turned in early. Closed the bedroom door and I watched TV at a comfortable volume without worry in the living room. The villa is like a full-fledged working house. These pool villas can be grouped into clusters of inner and outer fringes, no difference in price. Those on the inside sits on a higher elevation, and therefore, possibly have a better view of big mountain beyond. However, they are in partial view of the resort pathway below. They are not barricaded by walls of any sort so that their infinity pool maintains their infinity view. They do have tall Bird of Paradise plants bordering the infinity pool, and that offered some partial privacy. The villa we had was on the outer fringe. Lower in elevation, they bind into the golf course separated by a short wall shrouded in scrubs. So, these are in clear view of the golfers. When we were here there was none, it was a blessing. For those of you who like to run around naked in resorts, this place is a no no for that. Why do I say I have found what I have been looking for in Kao Yai? I have tried some other pool villas at the same price level in this region. So far, they have all been a disappointment with shortfalls here and there. I feel I overpaid for those other places which are mostly overrated. In fact, I just came from one nearby the day before I stayed here (there’s a review on that one too). Muthi has the full works going on. We got the full hotel treatment, we got a villa with plenty amenities. We stayed in a private massive estate which was captivating. I could unwind stress free. I slept well. In Muthi, price versus expectations, everything met. When there is a match like this, the resort deserves only the best of ratings. Be back someday I will.…
Good villa near forest, good for golf and walks, not much functional big bathroom, not nuch force of water in shower, not much special service, break fast ok, pool villa but was bit cold for swimming,
A very beautiful pool vila at Kao Yai as we saw in agoda and booked thru the government package announced so we get the very good price and the one who picked up the phone also kind and helpful so we thought this is the place ! We stayed here 6-9 october 2020 and when we checked in everything seems ok as I asked the reception that you wrote in the booking private parking so we booked the more expensive one because we thought you will provide parking area in the villa ! Anyway it was all become our fault that we misunderstood!!! Anyway once we reached the villa by golf car the one who sent us just told us anything press 0 and left ! The vila was beautiful and the space is great but a lot of mosquitoes once we turn on the light! They gave electric mosquitoes control but maybe because of monsoon seasons too! Food is ridiculous expensive !and taste ok and already cold once to reach to our room ! They do not have the food protect heat and water from rain ! So I suggest if anyone want to come here is good place for summer so u can swim ! Winter is very cold even though we came raining seasons it 23 •c water too cold to swim And they need to improve a lot of hospitality since it’s hotel and very expensive one,of course people will expect more not just the room!!…
Pros: - Spacious pool villa with specious bedroom, living room, and bathroom - Room cleanliness - Big bed and sofa bed - Big bathtub - Main bathroom and guest bathroom - Kitchen in the villa - Private and fresh atmosphere with greenery around - Relaxing and spacious poolside area in the villa - Very helpful and hospitable staff with good service - Variety of breakfast - Golf cart service - Sufficient parking lot - Many restaurants nearby Cons: - Some villa's pools turn out to the road, causing less privacy. - Quite old condition of villas and probably need some renovation. - Unavoidable insects - A lot of villas are located far from lobby and walking from/to ia not a good idea. - Take some times to wait for a golf cart pick-up to the lobby/parking lots - Quite busy and crowded breakfast - Distance from resort entrance to villa area is very long and dark at night. Some parts of the road are not in a good condition.…
Taking a weekend break from busy Bangkok. Checked in on Friday and today is Sunday reluctant to check out from this resort filled with nature and lots of pampering by the staff. A nice weekend getaway with own villa equipped with your own pool, Jacuzzi, large room. I highly recommend the spa here and dinner was great at the Italian restaurant known as Myth. A slight negative comment is the place is a little old and require renovation soon.
Nice pool villas providing privacy for a romantic weekend getaway in the nature. The villa was spacious, however the interior and furniture were a bit tired. At the villa entrance was an unkept water pond, attracting lots of mosquitos. Breakfast was good, but not great; healthy quality food (such as freshly pressed juices, cereals, organic yoghurts) or gluten free bakery were would have been a nice addition, which was missing. The room service was efficient and the food from the resort’s Italian restaurant was good. Access to Muthi Maya, located at the end of a massive golf resort Kirimaya, was a bit complicated and not well marked. Muthi Maya’s location nearby Khao Yai national park and GranMontet vineyard was a big plus. Overall, our stay was enjoyable and relaxing. The nature around the resort is beautiful. …
