I booked to stay here on Saturday 18th February through Booking.com way back in September as this was my birthday treat and wanted it all booked in plenty of time. I took ages picking the hotels to stay in for my birthday weekend away and was so looking forward to my night at the Wilson Arms. However, when we turned...

The Wilsons is an excellent place to spend a night whilst visiting the Coniston area. Good location for the water and town, but also a lovely atmosphere in the bar if all you want to do is sit and imbibe and eat the tasty grub on offer.

We have just returned from a little get away at the Wilsons Arms and are already planning our next visit. This gem of a place is a great base if you are looking to explore the local area. Staff so friendly and helpful, the whole venue is spotlessly clean. We stayed in room 1, a superb room if you are...

We spent three nights in what was a standard room while we toured the lake district. Our accommodation was extremely comfortable and the staff, including the owner who did breakfasts each day were friendly and informative of the area. The Wi Fi signal was mostly adequate. Our bed on castors had a mind of its own on the wooden floor!...

Thank you so much for the review. We are glad you enjoyed your visit and appreciate all the feedback and comments we get. We apologise for the beds with minds of their own! We have tried a variety of different stoppers/feet/cups on the beds and have just installed our latest attempt at stopping them from sliding. Fingers crossed these ones...

The pub has a number of good points: the staff are welcoming, the rooms are well-equipped, modern and very clean, and the food is very good. Normally I would have considered giving the Wilsons 4 stars: however, I do think that they need to consider their breakfast policy: when you are paying £100 for bed and breakfast it is disappointing...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and bringing a few issues to our attention. We must apologise for your breakfast as there should have been pastries and cold meats on offer as well. We have tried various different cups/feet on the beds to prevent them from sliding across the floor, however, we have just fitted another...
